Smh. We need meaningful content in this country. Our leaders of old were in their prime when they ruled Nigeria. Eg Gowon was 31.
We’re here making senseless content while old people ruin our collective future |

Mcy56: Hope they won't stone me here. You should have asked during trading hours so I can check this. I hope Fbnh will release result on time, and not just result......but a good one, so that the current support can hold........if not we should be looking at range 4.65/4.50 as next support. This is just my opinion. FBN results will be better than same period last year. |

If you were in my shoes what will you do? What will your investment advise to me be?
I'm young (below 30), single, live within my means, able to save 90 - 100k monthly, have a savings of about 1.1m, stay in a small town in southern Nigeria.
In the nearest future (3 - 6months) I plan to invest the savings in fixed income funds or reputable new fintech apps (NOT agritechs) because they're convenient for a millenial like me. I'm also considering real estate (buy land for appreciation), agric (rent large farm, hire a laborer or two, plant and sell veggies bi-weekly with high demand in the south), cryptocurrency (buy bitcoin with a small fraction of my savings and keep for long term), equity (buy shares of sound listed companies)
My Likely big future spending (6months - 12 months) Car (I work 7am to 6pm in a small city - no keke Maruwa in the day - I always dread a rainy day) Self development (professional certification or MBA) Marriage
I'm just overthinking - i will welcome our suggestions from wealth of experience. Especially from our respected posters ogaahib, pa Emma and barryton
Thanks |

unite4real: 2015 was a child's play compared to 2008/2009.
You should be asking how it was navigated in 2008/2009. For me, I lost a Whole lot of money that I still think about up to this moment. I really don't want to remember but I can't help. But I learnt from then on and became a far better investor and positioning myself for the point-and-kill strategy.
For example, I am waiting for GTB and Nestle to get to that point and kill level soon. The world will see another great recession and those who take positions will go for the kill and make more Please what mistakes did you make during the 2008 market crash? We could learn. Thanks |

Skyfornia: Mine was out of frustration. I was working back then in a private company owned by one man, I worked diligently and contributed to the progress of the company, but when some money under my custody was stolen, the company mandated me to pay it back, it wasn't easy cause they were deducting 80% of my salary as a means to recover back the money, so I gathered money and paid the rest, resigned from the company and out of annoyance, I decided to travel to Sweden....but I still come back to this shithole after one year. The worst decision ever! This is quite touching What made you come back? |

AdekunleAkofe: Just an alternate perception of the whole issue. Shouldn’t NNPC career portal give any clue about the readiness of APL? I think if letters are ready or already dispatched, candidates profile on the career portal should have been modified from the “Invited for Oral Interview” to something like “Congratulations stuff”. Anyway, it’s just an innocent point of view. What if it has been modified for successful candidates |

We all passsed through school so i knw wat stress is and i personally crave for it as long as its connected to growth, success and money.
So concerning FBN, am looking forward to enjoying the stress in TS. Infact, i dnt evn see d stress in learning in an air-conditioned classroom, getting paid monthly and being served a meal twice daily. Lol You're comparing bank stress to school stress so? |

meshpips: Sir,
money has a time value.
Let's say you invested 1 million Naira 20 years ago, you certainly should not be talking about the same amount 20 years after.
If nothing else has happened, INFLATION has devalued your original invest.
So I recommend that you find the FUTURE SUM of 1 million Naira compounded yearly by the AVERAGE inflation rate over the past 20 years and kindly tell us what that amounts to.
1 million Naira twenty years ago CERTAINLY has far more purchasing power than 1 million naira twenty years after.
Please let's stop playing by old rules! You are creating problems that are not originally their and solving them. |
