This is a man that is using other parents children for evil act in our society and meanwhile he is giving his own children the best of the best education abroad and shielding them.

Please why can't he use his own child for evil act or send his son to come over and be engaging in NURTW power tussle. He wants the best for his children and he wants them not to trend in his own way which is destructive.

May God give sense to those thugs, hoodlums that he uses for evil act. They need to realise that they are been used only.

Whose so ever that is found guilty of human trafficking should be sentenced to death by hanging because such individual(s) are just malevolent and heartless. This is man's inhumanity to man.

I wish am a governor am going to wage a mean war on human trafficking and sentence guilty ones to death.

I don't understand Nigerian entrepreneurs. Do you think if most workers lose their jobs your business is safe? How are people going to patronise your goods and services if they have no jobs?

God go bless you bro. Your thinking faculty will never run dry. Amen

3 gbosa for you.

People who always say these seem to forget one thing..“how the economy operates”. I’m pretty sure whatever business you run someone is working for you one way or another. Also whoever patronizes your business pays you from the money they’ve made from a certain job they have or do. Think brother, the ripple effect goes around. We all can’t run business, if we do who will do the other jobs... as much you think you’re being smart and all, for an economy to run all kinda business and tasks need one another..even to the level of a janitor. Having a private business Also has its own risks too...the COVID 19 Pandemic is not sparing any business or sector, trust me in this one. Our hope is that somehow it should end soon...no business or business owner is spared!

Well spoken. This guy sabi die. You speak like a Gem. Please can i be your friend?

The move is not justified and way too early.

First, banks experienced some sort of boom during the lockdown with most transactions going online and also getting a cut of bank based telecoms transactions like ussd. Again, post covid...oil prices will go back up albeit not to pre covid figures. Additionally a lot of investors will come to Africa being a region not mostly affected by the virus.

I think he just used the opportunity to set a justification to lay off the diamond bank staff he inherited.

If you don't believe me...watch out for their Q2 figures and year end figures...

God bless you. You just spoke my mind

From a balance perspective, I believe this mass sack isn't the way out, unless of course the companies are using this incident as an opportunity to executive certain plans they had in mind, prior to this time.

My take;
Why not simply make everyone take a pay cut or no salary, but give them the job security, with the assurance that everything will become normal after this pandemic.

With this step, you have settled two things;
1. Cut off you personnel running cost, since you aren't making profit.

2. Your workers endure a few months, but with a bright hope of things returning to normal afterwards. Isn't easy but better, the thought of job hunt all over again is heart melting you know....

Make sense. I have been expecting this day to come.

Well, i think people should not complain too much on banks as my cousin working in Access bank already mentioned this to me & is praying fervently not to be sacked as the wage cut is inevitable but sack is the worst.

He said for the past month customers were only withdrawing funds from Access Bank & not much deposit were made via cash or cheque lodgement as a lot of their branches operated skeletally.

Obviously we are in for a tough time ahead economy wise but GOD is great & will see us thru this tough times as entrepreneurs

My heart goes out to you bro. I pray that your brother survive and still retain his job. I know how it feels because am a banker too.

God bless you.

if u were a staff of access bank u won't make such comment.

have u seen d pyramid of staff salaries in these banks?

payment of staff salaries n allowance is wide at d top with just few persons, while the payment of these 75% is thin at even though dey are much.

senior managers n above have official cars, subscription n even get paid for medical trips abroad while the so called cleaners n outsource staff don't have such privilege except what dey collect at d end of d month.

sacking I d 75% of outsource staff will still.notake dem make profit, check d salary of d cleaner compare it to dat of a senior manager n tell me d %age.

dey should start with d top management staff dat way I will know dey are cutting cost.

a cleaner collects 20k.per month while an SM collects a million at d end of d month now tell me who is suppose to go?

in a year d average outsource staff salary is not even up to d monthly pay of a senior manager.

sometimes some of u comment without thinking

try to have human sympathy.

It will be done across all board. For sure this retrenchment will affect full staff too.

What some direct staff of the bank earn in a month can pay about 10-15 contract staff & those guys are still entitle to other allowances. Yes, the bank can actually do without the tea girls, few cleaners, securities and some tellers but how much do these set of staff even cost the bank. As far as i am concern a larger chunk of their salary expenses is on their core staff.

Very on point.

75% that's too much but this access bank matter tire me ooh that's how they would just be deducting money from my account without transaction detail nothing..... The banking sector is just a very funny sector in this hardship you still want to retrench staffs that 1 billion that was donated would have been used for staff welfare but bad management & policy won't allow them...... Na to retrench staffs & then place ad for employment with a lower pay that's what they want to do cause they know people would opt for the lower pay cause of the hardship

Please come bank with Polaris Bank we don't involve in deducting customers money illegally.

Kindly P. M

Her country is a shithole and so....

She sold herself to somebody, somebody sold her to the Lebanese, and the Lebanese wanted to sell her to another person.

It's neither her fault nor his!

Blame your government!

People like her president, state governor, representatives and the person that trafficked her to Lebanon would rot in the hottest part of hell. They are the cause.

I agree with you. Only God knows how she got herself into this mess.

The most countries in the middle east doesn't respect human right, Infact human rights in most are dead and buried.

I pray God help her out.

I blame our leaders for this.

Most Nigerian ladies travel to Dubai, Italy, Lebanon and other countries for voluntarily prostitution.

Even in our Country Nigeria, similar things are happening. 95% of staff in most organization like banks are contract staff. The bank outscored job to selfish companies and pay salaries to the outsourcing firm who pays the contract staff a little penny from the huge sum. What is the difference ?

Even if the whites come to Nigeria to buy people for trafficking, majority of the youths will voluntarily follow them. Our leaders have made the future bleak in this country.

Good point raised. God bless you.
