PoliticsRe: Can The North Survive Without The Niger-delta Oil? by anwo247: 8:28am On Jun 04, 2009
mikeansy:
folks chill, Nuclear Energy is the future

The last time I checked the Uranium deposits in Nigeria are not necessarily in the Niger-Delta

There is no North vs South as far as this issue is concerned

the true war is between those who are well-off vs those who are not.
I think the worst or rather the most unrealistic post so far.

Do you think nuclear energy is a day job? Where in the North do you see the signs? Oh, you believe by deposit, benefit can be calculated, then, you are totoally wrong. My delta state should be heaven by now, due to oil deposits. The last time I checked out on Nuclear energy, IT IS STILL NOT THE TOTAL SOLUTION BUT JUST A COMPLIMENTARY ONE LIKE ALL OTHER SOURCES OF ENERGY. How do you think that will put the North in sirvival? What is the mathematics?

I only agree with you that it is north a war of south and north. it is a leadership problem,  Poverty anywhere is a threat everywhere.

Nuclear energy Requires:

1. A huge, I mean, very huge capital running into billions of dollars to kickstart. Does the north have that?
2.A very much larger reserve/working capital cost because of emergency, containment, etc
3. Organised and maintained radioactive waste and storage systems due to explosion control;;;;;;;;;ehmm, bomb very close to energy here.;;;;; oh my Naija.
4. A  long-term  resolution high level waste storage must be in place, ofcourse you know about nuclear waste management, the cost, and environment implications
5  Obama will keep an eye in the North due to Potential nuclear proliferation issue. You may also consider sharia with it.

Please, i think it will be more realsitic if you can tell us how the north will surivive without oil money. I tell you(1000x) they will not survive as at today.

Go to east, you will see elcetrical transformers, community roads, town halls, small schools, etc built by contributions from sons of the soil. But in the north, it is either governemnt or nothing.  The human development is so low. You even beg them to go to school.

Let us not talk about attitude to work here. it is another thing entirely.

Please concentrate on how this Ba-turanchi people will survive without oil and not one form of nuclear reactor or rocket science.

He already knew the natural type, the realself type, the endurance-and-toast-for-one-year type, two minds pumping together at equal heartbeat type, etc. But he was asking about you MAKING it possible at the neautrality of the other.  Then, it becomes magical and cash does it real well. Think of it.

This means that El-Rufai is not a man of honour. Why did he keep quiet since? Oh, because he's fallen out with the president? When will all these idiots stop using state issue to settle personal scores.

With all Ribadu's performance, the only thing I may have against him was that He allowed Obasanjo to use him to settle personal scores. At one time, Mike Adenuga ran to Ghana. Suddenly, he was no longer corrupt! Now El-Rufai is blinking. Medicine after death.

FamilyRe: Effects Of Early Marriage by anwo247: 6:30pm On Jun 03, 2009
There is nothing wrong with early marriage. Those who do it late reget it. I have not found anyone that married late that can say: THANK GOD I MARRIED LATE. No one yet in this forum, at least.

Marrying early does not mean:
1  no money

Marrying early does not mean
2  immaturity

Marrying early does not mean
3. Unpreparedness

Marrying early does not mean
4. boy/girl attitude

Marrying early does not mean
5. Ist love syndrome

I repeat, and I stand to be corrected. Maturity for marriage does not go by age. There are younger ones who are prepared and for sure should not deny themselves of the wonderful opportunity of training your children while still young.  They should not look at those old people whom for certain  reasons were not able to do it quick: That is their headache, never join them. They regret daily.

It pleases my heart. Each time I drive around with my 1st son on visit to friends/associates, they would wonder if I am the father. If I had the opportunity, i would have married earlier than 31. But it's still okay.

I wish you good luck on your choice. I made mine already, and still one of the best decision I have taken in my lifetime.
PoliticsRe: Can The North Survive Without The Niger-delta Oil? by anwo247: 1:12pm On Jun 03, 2009
If the Northern governors think they can survive, they should write open letter(media) to the president asking him not to include oil revenue in the allocation. They all should sign so that no litigation will stand on their waiver.

For now, even with the oil allocation, the North is still not surviving let alone when the money is removed. Their tax revenue is very slow. I have not heard of any grant from Saudi or anywhere. Technology is not there. Birth control is not there. Education is lowest in the North. The social environment may not outrightly welcome a non-muslims foreigner.

I dont know what they mean by survival. maybe a Normadic live again in this 21st century.

RomanceRe: How To Make Someone Fall In Love by anwo247: 12:17pm On Jun 03, 2009
Any form of antics could actually make some girls fall in love with you. Particularly when those antics are the answers to the qusetion of their need.

But for sure, keeping her in love would need good money now or at some other time to come. She must ask for it. Do not forget that at all. Make a budget, hope it won't run into deficit.

Somehow, 95% cash should be an overall issue here.

But for men falling for women, I think it goes with a man finding a very humble and honest woman. Most men don't freak for women's fund. I think.

I disagree totally with you. Bachelor's degree is not a pre-requisite for marriage, but various facets of maturity is.

Early marriage using the instance of the poster is very okay, if the age is the only limiting factor.

Most things done early in life are generally never as bad as doing them late. Pls, dieing early is not included!
RomanceRe: Does destiny exist in marriage? by anwo247: 10:45pm On May 30, 2009
Your question has no connection with Destiny.

However, I will tell you that if you believe in Desitiny, then, it's applicable in every thing but you must recognize its' manifestaion. This of yours isn't it. There must have been an apparent hindrance/separation and eventual reconnection for you to talk about the power of Destiny. Think of it.

You totally sound unprepared for what is called "Marriage". You are still very youthful and very crude in your question about marriage.

In your last statement, you said you are confused. By whathuh? sightseeing? and you want to get marriedhuh

Boy grow, and it comes with the time. good luck.

I have always said one thing. Everyone must not be a graudate. If they are not intelligent, they must have at least a minimum of one other talent that they can develop and become sombody in life.

I was recently approched by someone I knew as a shop attendant, whom I know for a fact did not go to secondary school but miraculously got an excellent SSCE result and admission into a university. He has graduated now and was asking me to help him get a job. And the question I asked myself was 'in what capacity', he cannot even speak english he communicates in pidgeon English or Igbo. Unfortunately there are many like him in the system and as the saying goes if one finger gets stained with palm oil it will spread to all the others. Any potential employer that meets a candidate like him will be sceptical of all other graduates and will want to be sure of their mettle before employing them. It is unfortunate but our educational system is a mess from the primary school level all the way up. In Ghana, because primary and secondary education are so good, you do not need a degree to make a decent living. They have good vocational schools so if you decide to be a fashion designer or graphic artist or even beauty technician, you are properly trained and employable. In Nigeria they cant even use our so called technical certificates to do anything and so the people fro.m technical colleges AKA polytechics are all fighting for white collar or office jobs and bachelors degree holders are now tailors and mechanics.
I am standing beside you. I weep for the academic system that breads these graduates. cry cry cry

@Ejikeben,
Not only honda, so many great men of this world never went to any formal higher institution. If you are able to persist an do well in what you do, surely, there will be away out in life.

Check out the words of Calvin Coolidge :

"Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race"
EducationRe: The Quality Of Nigeria's University Education (Let's Rank Them) by anwo247: 9:20pm On May 25, 2009
In another thread in this forum, I maintained that there was nothing to rank in Nigeria. The academic systems are faulty and are not working. Please try education outside the shore and you will understand. This is not meant to spite our graduates  but to say the fact and also encourage them not to make the mistake, for those who are ready for MS degrees, in doing it in any Nigerian University.

I was in a forum arguing with one Nigerian graduate with BSc in Engineering as he claimed. He was so serious in saying that as an engineer, that he is not meant to go to site. He's is design according to him, maybe solve the equations. But ours' is done from: classroom-laboratory-workshops-office-field/site. To do well in design, you are expected to have enough of interplay from physical results and feedbacks.

Their main interest here is simply how to discriminate against poly graduates whereas, their Uni graduates know almost nothing. Check out their final year Project work: Plagiarism!

We can improve on this. Nigeria is only a country where a local government councilor earns more than a PhD holder. It's that serious. How can the University work.

In Nigeria, you must be a graduate to belong, maybe do NYSC , whether you can spell your name or not.

You do not need to be a graduate in life to do well. You must have a minimum of one other talent. I think.

soludo2008:
Nigeria condition is no worse than what we read on dailies. selective pressure is the formular used by employers of labour to recruit their staff. The descrimination line is not only conspicuous on BSc/HND, 1st/2nd degrees, 1,2.1/others but also working experienced and non-experienced. In most cases, you are required to be endorsed by high-profile person that has a strong tie with the company before you will be offered the job despite the rigorous interview that you passed through. I advice every Nigerian graduate to embrace enterprenuership at the lowest cadre. Yes, go into fish-farming(aquaculture), snail farming(heliculture), cassava cultivation and other agricultural activities that demands minimal capital. set a target and in five years time you will have some graduate working under you.
You are not wrong at all. Long term target should be the main focus, not just having your name to be on staff list of a big company.

I also need to say here that CBN should enforce the microfinance fundamentals. Banks should reserve money for loan to starters.

Send the 'acknowledged copy of your letter to the ministers'  to this forum. Even though your lack of education could not make you think that a Bill should be sent to the National Assembly.

Like I said before now, you are never objective. But I encourage you to try this time. Just send the copy. at least, the copy is there with you, right? Prove your worth.

As noble as your idea is, l am sure you know that it is "these gaals" that pay for all those perks every banking staff enjoys!
Where will your "upfront" come from, without these babes?
Where will that hefty 400K/month come from, well, maybe you prefer to be deployed to teach at a Secondary school where "morals" are well preached and observed!!
Well, I felt things should be done more professionally, I'm not teaching morals per se but ethics is a more absolute definition of it, If I could say.

Upfront? I'm not a banker. The only upfront we see in my field are Mobilisation for projects which you must secure with bank bonds. I'm fully employed and doubt if I will have spare time for teaching, however, if time comes up, teaching is one of the things I enjoy doing so much: Math/engineering courses.

@Thor, did you actually wrote a letter to all ministers? Do ministers make laws? Or is it another 419 letter? So, you lack education afterall? Please my dear, a bill is what should be sent to the National Assembly.

Nignog will speak for him/herself. But I have no reason to doubt that you are a 419. What is your occupation. Just mention it. I will take you up from there, because eventually, I must get you arrested. I'm very serious. Let us know the city where you are in Uk.

You just want to come to this forum and play good to get people's details and screw themhuh it won't work.

@Thor , you are a gullible idiot without brain.

As for other posters, I am not against any punitive measures for any crime as far as the bill is debated in the assembly as passed into law accordingly. The issue is that those victims of 419 are mostly those who have intention of collecting the money they did not sow. And you cant hang one and leave the other. That's my take.

We all hear how foreign idiots have been used to siphone our money to outside the country and if they were unlucky to have met  419, they will cry foul and ask you to hang them while they the greater dupe should be here posting pictures without idea.

As I said you are a 419 criminal, that is the only reason you are defending these scum, you are one of them and you should hang with them.
Do you call this a defense? It is getting clearer now. If your only reason for speaking in a matter is personal interest or when you are involved like you misinterpreted, then it shows you are a selfish animal.

So, we can rightly said that you were duped(interest) that is why you want them hanged(defense). Then, you are equally guilty if not more guilty. you need to be hanged, because it is through people like you that Abacha used to remove our money, REAPING WHEN YOU DID NOT SOW HAS CONFIRMED YOU A CRIMINAL IN THIS THREAD but my words has not made me a thief. I live in Abuja here, I'm a civil engineer.

Any time I see our hospital and children dieing because of lack of money which are in swiss banks and personal accounts of foreigners, i will remember you and curse you. The blood of dieing children in the hospital is in your head. You will dead a tough death, since you have decided to reap our money when you sow nothing.

You are shameless to have the impunity to come up to the thread to show your face. EFCC is looking for you.

Come to Nigeria, I live in Abuja, let two of us work down to EFCC and let us know who will be kept in detention.  Thief.

Showing pictures of your cohorts has confirmed that they swindled you with sharing formula and you are now angry. DUPE.
