You just described me. There are some parts I read in the Bible and I wonder how GOD could allow, say or do somethings and I admit I have felt like throwing the book away right then.

you can still get foreign currency for use. Just prove you have a legitimate claim and you would be granted your transaction.

The policy is a good policy. Even though it becomes stressful for some people to make some foreign purchases and they feel pains it'd make them seek local alternatives to the advantage of Nigeria. Plus it helps us stem the flow of our money by corrupt people. There really is nothing wrong with this policy.
Definitely a win-win scenario for Nigeria

Well I heard people complaining of mailerdaemon. I think that thing comes under the first few minutes.

I sent mine over five minutes ago and it hasn't returned any mailerdaemon mail.

So I guess it's been delivered

OP raised salient points.

However, OP you probably already know this measure is not the CBN's long term answer to strengthen the naira. It is only a measure to ensure only people who need the dollar for legitimate transactions use the dollar.

The main reason why the naira fell is because we don't export as much as we import. But in addition, speculators and politicians who hoard the dollar for useless reasons also made the dollars rise. The CBN's move is a nice move as legitimate business people can still do foreign business and it cuts the access of unnecessary handling of dollars in Nigeria.

It's now over to the Federal Govt to spur our manufacturing sector for a permanent move to strengthen the naira.

This is sad mehn coming from a grownup.
