A young lady identified as James Chiamaka Elizabeth call off her wedding on her wedding day in Rivers state.
It was gathered that the lady was supposed to be married to one Sunday Ishaku today, November 20 but she discovered that the man she is getting married to is married.
It was further revealed that Ishaku is married with three children but he sneak out to get married to Elizabeth.
Elizabeth reportedly got angry and cancelled the wedding that was supposed to take place at Holy Trinity Catholic church located at Abonima road, Port Harcourt.
A community in Benue state came under heavy attack from unknown gunmen with the assailants killing no fewer than seven persons.
According to reports, the gunmen lunched the attack on Tor Donga in Katsina-Ala Local Government area of the State.
During the attack, the gunmen killed five other people including a Catholic priest identified as Rev. Fr. Ajoko Micheal of St. John’s Parish Kasar and an Igbo woman, were injured.
In the attack that occurred on Thursday evening, November 18, Four members of the recently formed Benue Community Volunteer Guards were among the seven killed.
The deceased security operatives have been identified as Tersoo Nyamkem, Ornyar Kwaghtagher, Ortwer Vendagough and Iorzua Joseph Denen.
Others include, Oryina Orhirga, Saidu Ado (a vulcanizer) and a young man in the vehicle with Rev. Fr. Ajoko.
Confirming the incident in a statement, the chairman of Katsina-Ala Local Government, Alfred Atera said the gunmen were local bandits who were remnants of the Azonto group.
He stated:
“Bandits came to Tor Donga yesterday (Thursday) evening and killed seven persons. They killed Volunteer Guards members, injured two of them, then killed some other persons too on their way as they shot sporadically.”
“Five injured persons are in the hospital including a Reverend father from Mbatseer who was going to Tor Donga. They met him (Catholic Priest), shot at him and killed the person in the car with him. The incident happened between 5 pm and 5:30 pm
“They (the attackers) are the final remminants of Azonto army because the volunteer guards said they saw one Sonter who was driving the car that they came in with. The volunteer guards blocked the road when they saw them but they don’t have anything to protect themselves so they ran away as the bandits approached.
A military source who did not want to be named also confirmed the attack to Nigerian Tribune on Friday.
The source said:
“Unknown gunmen in a moving vehicle, on Thursday at about 4:40 pm at Tor Donga in Katsina-Ala local government area, forced themselves through the vigilante checkpoint along Katsina-Ala/Tor Donga road.”
The military source added that troops of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) who were alerted about the ugly development raced to the area but that the bandits had escaped before they got there.

The sad development was disclosed by her sister who took to her Instagram page grieve over the entertainers death.
Taking to her Instagram page, her sister who is simply identified as Stella stated that the deceased body is nowhere to be found.
It was gathered that she died moments after posting a short video on her Instagram story where it looks like she was having a good time on a beach.

A young boy of about 5 years old has been found dead few days after he was declared missing.
It was gathered that the incident happened in Amaokwu Amangballa, Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The deceased was strangled to death by unknown assailants and dumped by the roadside, salemreporters learnt.

A 25-year-old lady, Chioma Okocha and five other men have been sentenced to a total of 141 years imprisonment for trafficking in Cocaine and Cannabis Sativa.
The five men identified as Ndubuisi John, Haruna Aliyu, Saddam Abdullahi, Bashir Usman, and Usman Ibrahim and the lady were sentenced by Federal High Courts sitting in Benin, Edo and Abeokuta, Ogun state respectively.
This was revealed in a statement released by the NDLEA Director, Media & Advocacy, Femi Babafemi.
The statement added:
"Chioma Okocha was convicted and sentenced to 15 years in jail by Justice AC Obiozor of the Federal High Court, Benin for trafficking 200grams of crack cocaine following her arrest in the Edo state capital on 24th September, 2021 by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA and her subsequent arraignment in suit no. FHC/B/136c/2021. The convict pleaded guilty to a one-count charge when her case came up in court on Monday 15th November. The judge however granted her the option of paying N2million fine or spend 15 years in jail effective from 24th September when she was arrested while trying to deliver 200grams of Crack Cocaine to a customer at an eatery in Benin city.
The five men: Ndubuisi John; Haruna Aliyu; Saddam Abdullahi; Bashir Usman, and Usman Ibrahim were also convicted and sentenced to 126 years imprisonment by a Federal High Court in Abeokuta presided over by Justice Ogunremi Omowunmi Oguntoyinbo in suit no. FHC/AB/105c/2021.
The convicts were arrested on 14th of September 2021 along Lagos -Ibadan expressway conveying 46 bags of Cannabis Sativa weighing 552 kilograms in a truck and subsequently charged on three counts of transportation, possession and dealing in the illicit drug.
In her judgment delivered on 9th November, Justice Oguntoyinbo sentenced the 1st, 2nd and 3rd accused persons to 30 years imprisonment each while the driver of the truck bagged 21 years and the motor boy/driver’s assistant 15 years in jail.
While Ndubuisi, Haruna and Saddam were sentenced to 10 years on each count charge, Bashir got seven years on each count charge and Usman 5 years on each count charge. The jail terms are to run concurrently."

The fierce encounter occured in Rengye, an area suspected to be the terrorists’ crossing point. Aside the neutralized terrorists, several others escaped with injuries, leaving traces of blood behind, as they fled in disarray.
The gallant troops recovered two AK 47 rifles, three AK 47 rifle magazines, one 36 Energa Hand Grenade and oneTear gas cannister from the terrorists.
While commending the troops for their resilience and renewed doggedness, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya charged them to continue to dominate the area operationally by denying the criminals freedom of action.”

The Enugu state police command have arrested a father identified as Chidi Onyishi for killing his 7-year-old son for money rituals.
The police said the suspect was arrested following the receipt of credible information in an ongoing case of a missing child.
The suspect was arrested by police Operatives attached to the Central Police Station of the Command.
The police said they arrested 36-year-old of Taylor Avenue, Coal Camp, Enugu, for allegedly being responsible for the disappearance and murder for money ritual of his son.
It was gathered that the father had earlier reported to the police on 22 October that his 7 years old son identified as Chimdalu Chidi was missing.
Police statement added:
“Preliminary investigation reveals that he confessed to the crime and led Police Operatives to the arrest of one Pastor Okeke Eneokwor aged 95 (male), who is said to be blind and of Dental Avenue, Trans-Ekulu, Enugu; whom he fingered as an accomplice.
He also led Police Operatives and medical team to a stream in Abakpa-Nike, Enugu, where the decomposing corpse of the minor was exhumed from a shallow grave, after him and cohorts murdered and buried the child on 20/10/2021.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Abubakar Lawal, fdc, has ordered the State CID Enugu to conduct a thorough and conclusive investigation that will lead to the prosecution of everyone found culpable in the act.”
Official results from the Anambra State governorship election start coming in with Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) taking the lead.
It was gathered that Soludo is leading in one-third of the entire Local Government Areas in Anambra State.

A 12-year-old member of ISWAP, Islamic State’s West Africa Province, has executed two Nigerian soldiers, report says.
According to reports, a video showing the execution was released by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), also known as Daesh (Arabic).
The report said the member of the terror group which breakaway from Boko Haram shot the soldiers dead with his AK-47.
The video which was called “Makers of Epic Battles” also covered other attacks from ISWAP’s spring campaign in Borno and Yobe states in 2021.
This was revealed In a Twitter post by Tomasz Rolbiecki, a researcher on Islamic State’s attacks worldwide.

Salemreporters had reported that the victims were kidnapped in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State a week ago.
