Family / Re: Ladies Breastfeeding Baby In Public. Right Or Wrong? by aorseer: 8:57am On Oct 01, 2019
MiztaYouneek:
What is your opinion about ladies breastfeeding their babies in public.

I do come across many ladies doing that and its looks a bit awkward to me but who am I to judge when their husbands are not complaining.

I don't think I would love to see my future wife breastfeeding our baby in public just like that. I believe there should be better ways to do that than just bring out their breast anyhow in public because the baby is crying and needs to feed.

I hope maybe some ladies here can actually say something about this.
OP your question is the same as asking if it is right for men to pee in public simply because they are pressed and can't find a convenient place. Because "most ladies do come across many men doing that and it looks a bit awkward to them"
I'm a man like you for your information

hi,
are you sure? the volume of air pushed by this 24w fan, is it adequate for the job required as depicted in the diagrams shown?

anyway if that's wattage of the fan, then the rest is easy.

load 24w/12v
load current consumed:24/12=2amps
1nos 24w/12v DC fan
1nos 150w panel
1nos 10a pwm controller
1nos 65ah/12v battery

calculations:
duration of load :12hrs
Ah consumed : 12hrs *24w/12v =24ah
depth of discharge on battery: 24/65*100= 36% (good). 2 days autonomy.

panel current : 150/18v = 8.33 (typical value)
you expect practically 70% of this value = 5.83a

C/10 rate (optimal charge rate) for the battery is :65ah/10h = 6.5a. 5.83a is pretty close to that. due to the fact that you said your location is in the north, you can expect better.

typical costs:
150w panel >= 25k, chinko panels are cheaper. some for as low as 19k.
10a pwm charge controller (generic brand):<= 5-7k
65ah battery: 25-47k. (long brand is the expensive one, Chinese batteries cost less.)
24w DC fan: Alaba is your best bet.

it is a student project, you are required to show working proof of concept. no need to spend over the top for high end gadgets.

cheers

hope this helps. any other questions, post them too. best of luck.

once again I hope vendors here can give you a student discount. lol.
Thanks lexi28 you have been so helpful. I appreciate you
Pls can someone suggest vendors that I can contact? Kinda new to this thread

hi, FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION:
what is wattage of your DC fan? the answer determines how you will proceed!
cheers.
Thanks for your response. The DC fan is a 12v turbo fan. I guess it's 24watts

Good day house, I am building a solar dryer as my final year project but I have the following issues
(a) I don't have an idea of the size of panel and battery that can feed the dc fan
(b) the cost of the panel, solar charge controller, dc battery and dc fan
(c) I will appreciate if I can get somebody in Lagos that can supply the components to me as I live in the northern part of the country
Attached is a sketch of the dryer thanks

Education / Re: Please, Is Age Still On My Side? by aorseer: 9:05am On Jul 31, 2019
kulreal:
I've been trying to find someone to share what I'm passing through right now with but I can't just find any, perhaps not to feel ridiculed or I don't just get; reason for coming on this forum.

I'm currently seeking admission into one of the federal universities here in Nigeria but unable to decide which course to go for due to my deficit knowledge of what the future holds.
Though from the outset of my Jamb registration early this year, I planned going for medical laboratory science but right now I'm just confused due to the age factor. I'm 23 years old presently and MLS is 5 years course (provided no strike) + 1 year internship + 1 year service making total of 7 years. Adding this to my age, I'd be 30 years by the time I'm done.
So to avoid this, I want to change to pure and industrial chemistry which is 4 years + 1 year service meaning by the time I'm done I'd be 28 years.
Now my questions are:
1) Assuming I go for MLS and considering my age after service, will I still be considered employable in the job market?
2) Also if I decided to change to PIC, what does the future holds cus I do hear most of their graduates are into teaching?
Thanks for your time and invaluable responses
Go for the course of your choice and be the best. Age will not matter when you are the best

Religion / Re: What's The Difference Between The Spirit And The Soul? by aorseer: 9:49am On Jul 14, 2019
Holycity:
Whats the difference between the spirit and the soul?

have be wondering

abeg guys help me answer this one

Wonder no more. Cos there is a difference between the soul and spirit according to the bible "man" is made up of two parts, the body and the spirit. The body is the physical you, the part you can see and touch but the spirit is the part that you can not see. The combination of the body and spirit is what the bible calls the SOUL.
A look at the bible book of Genesis explains this:
Genesis 2:7 (KJV)
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
From here you can see that God made the body and breathed His spirit in it and the combination became a soul, i.e the complete man. The soul(person) can die but the spirit does not die but returns to God at death according to the book Ezekiel the soul/person that sins shall die Ezekiel 18:20. Any where the bible uses soul it means the complete man or person so there should confusion about the two. God bless you

Bro Back then in 2005 most phones had two batteries one main battery and a second tiny one the type that u find in wrist watches for alarm and phone time. That way even if the main battery is dead or removed ur alarm still rings. Hope this helps
Phones / Re: 'putting Your Phone On Alarm Can Save Your Phone If Stolen' by aorseer: 6:00pm On Apr 22, 2019
OP I can relate. Same thing happened to a friend around 2005. He bought this Samsung flip cute phone then camera and coloured phones were new and he/we were all crazy about the phone. Long story short he visited his friend and slept over in his one room apartment and the friend's girlfriend stole the phone, removed the battery and put the phone in her pant and slept back. My guy woke up in the dead of the night to find that his beloved phone was missing. He woke everyone up and the search of the phone began from 2am to about 4am knocking at neighbours doors who had phone to flash the number, mind u not everyone had a phone then and the then Mtel service was terrible. He resigned to fate that his phone was gone for good only for the 5am alarm to wake the phone up and it began ringing in ..... guess where, the girl's private part. No be small beating she receive afterwards
