few weeks ago, my birds(layers)were nt doing fine and I was having mortality which I tot was as a result of "laying" stress, post mortem however proved it was NCD, my vet injected d birds but I lost more birds after injection dan before s injection.I became more worried den came on this thread to get advice frm experienced farmers. I got various advice from different pple and I am very grateful to everyone,(jamp,eggcelent nd co). but I am specially grateful to kelvin96 who gave me his contact, and monitored me tru d fone as I treated my birds...thanks a lot and God bless. my birds are now fine, and for d first tym I walk into my pen without fear of picking out a dead bird.




d treatment he prescribed = neoceryl for 5days, lasota 2days later, multivitamin for d next 2,3days. it worked!

This is exactly how I expect things to be done here, though I'm not a poultry farmer yet but coming back to reference help and stating what cured what is the best way to teach others.

1) Watch the tile's slabs, the line u see there is end of a flat tile (don't know how to explain it better)
2) The end of the visible side didn't show a pattern of an ended step. It didn't synchronise as a floor and a step would

Now u are identifying the problem, kids often annoys dogs and dogs will instinctly switch to default self defence(don't near me or my space) so correct it
When we say socialize we mean introduce humans n other animals to him/her so they can see them as friends n not enemies. Make the dog sit beside U while u chat with ur neigbours

Op that's why u need to know about a breed before U get one anyway Cauc's default mode is aggresion and it gets worse when u cage it up, bliv me, it turns to a monster that even U might not handle, socialise socialise socialise is the key to a good and happy cauc. Exercise too to burn the energy or it will look for where to pour it on

There is this dog bowl that balance well on the ground and can't be turned over by ur dog, I will try and paste a pix of mine when I get home. Dogs like to play with their food often and they like the sound the plate makes when they hit it. I advice u get the bowl

Hatching is very good, but why some ppl dont like hatching themselves is dt it needs a lot of attention. u just have to concentrate . time is of essense in hatching. Also, some ppl stock 3 times in a year, so they prefer to stock juveniles from reputable farms.

I go like follow chop d male broodstock .

Please u guys shld keep us updated on d date for d hatching.

That's cos I failed so much that if I kept posting, weaker minds won't try hatching but thank GOD I learnt the hard way, all the parameters required turned out to be very important

I'll tell U a story, somebody posted a dog here and bliv me, the guy was rubbished only for a breeder here to go buy the dog and posted here and for the fact that he was a breeder, people acknowledged the dog and a fellow breeder over approved the dog, and I was like WTF.
So bro! Those guys are mostly fake, the real breeders are not here on NL. Ask urself where are those Caucasian breeders in Jos? If they enter here and post pictures, all of us go keep quiet.

I'm into fish farming but have not done poultry so I'm in no position to compare the both but when u talk about complications, poultry has more and like the last person said, it's very risky

Bros... my uncle had a boerboel and a rottweiler... the rottweiler is older than the former by 2 years... as the boerboel grew... so did its temperament... in a nutshell... it nearly killed the rott when it turned a year and a half... both males... he had to giveaway the rott...

Since... you have a dog... why don't you breed yours with a bullmastiff or a boerboel... walk them everyday and see if they won't kill yourselves later...

We have many agricultural products that can help this nation but the govt choose to leave it to civilians to do small scale ish.

@fnk, i trust you can do this. you may even turnout to be better than chi and other producers. Try to search videos on you tube and browse online. With the way you think, you might be hitting another goldmine. If they cant sell you breeders, import! south africa comes to mind for the importation.

The doc we buy here are not labelled chi or amoo.it was when i came online that i knew the names of d coy for the first time.

fish farmers spawn their fishes, pig farmers do same. It is possible for poultry farmers to learn and be better than the known names.
