@Prodeegee! Our arguements has always been on dog biz not breeders and with this def, how many breeders here can be defined that way.

Hey bruh, thanks so much. I feel so honored. There are also a lot of reputable breeders in here too, the likes of PRODEEGEE, SLIMBONE, OLUOMOADEBAYO, CHUCKY and all. I give kudos to them. I didn't just get to this mark in one day, it took a lot of effort, sweat, tears and pains, although there were gains attached too...

The only problem I see with most breeders is that they don't get their priorities right. They overlook "breeding" in the real context, ignore standards instead substitute the love for dogs for the love for money...

I made a vow sometimes through my career, that I will never bring a kid to this world to suffer...If you don't have a passion for pets, why then go into it? Even the bible is against it. So for me, my dogs comes first before any other thing, I see them as my kids and wards...If I fail them in any way, then I've failed as a father...

As regards the issue of reselling pups or helping others to quicken the sale of theirs just for their cut, i'm indifferent about that...I've done it in the past but sometimes along the line, I concluded that it isn't worth the time and trouble. You go through a lot of stress and follow-up calls and on the long run the highest you can chalk out for urself by reselling a fellow breeder's pup, say GSD, can't be more than 10k at most. But the most important thing is dignity, I can vouch for my dogs but I can't say the same for every other breeder. I can only recommend breeders, but not the breed. Because you might later nail me for a dog that you bought that later turns out badly bred.

Also, some breeders do a little of buying and reselling, so as to get a regular flow of income to keep their kennel running. I can't blame them for that too. I have a regular source of income but that doesn't mean I should criticize those that don't. So I believe everyone have their ways, we can't be the same.

My only plea to pet handlers and breeder alike, is that we should shy away from promoting impure and badly bred dogs. If at all we must resell a dog from another source, we should endeavor to find out the purity of the dam and sire and ensure we notify buyers of the true lineage of the dog in question.

Let us live for a better canine world, together we can build a standard for Nigerian Canines...LOVE YOU ALL

Oluomoadebayo is another good breeder I forgot maybe cos he's not as active as before

But in all my definition of a breeder is when you try to modify a breed for good and ALWAYS maintain standard. Oluomoadebayo once had a pup that the tail wasn't ok by him and he didn't want to sell it so as not to pollute the breed but rather wished it won't be used for breeding, that's what I respect in breeders not just by importing dogs and for that, the pups are all ok

on the flipside...am now a happy dog owner of over 7 dogs of different breeds (rotts, gsd, south african boerboel, siberian husky and lhasa).

its part of lesson learnt during the process of getting to the game.

its just painful that while you will expect people to encourage newbies to dog owning, some so called expert takes advantage and dupe them.

last december, i gave out a total of 15 puppies (11 rotts and 4 gsd)to friends and neighbors as xmas gift. i still remember the joy in their faces.

some of them still bring their dogs to me when they are traveling.

Breeding is not about mating dogs or selling dogs
I respect only one breeder here and he's Arcbay though we disagree more than we agree but he's the only breeder I can call a breeder maybe beacause I don't know other breeders program like Chukky234 but for U dog merchants claiming breeders, una dey on a long thing

We have agric lands in Anambra!

One of us that hardly posts here has got farm land on lease , he is abt to start clearing and he intends to farm cassava.

The land is from Anambra forestry reserved area. The land is located at Ebenebe but d ministry has office at Nimo. You will have to pay n7500 to register with them (one off registration) then a lease of 4k per acre per year. He said u can use d land as long as you pay ur yearly lease.
I asked him if they have tractors and other farming machines, he said one can get that from the ministry of agric. DT he has a contact person there .
He also says they have water source close by.

I don't mind giving you a GSD pup for free, not a problem actually...But there are conditions attached.

You need to prove to me that you can take proper care of the pup.
1. Get a bag of Royal canin which costs 19,800
2. A Pack of JOJO canned food (24 in a pack) which costs 7,200
3. Get a pack of Dog supplements and Vit tabs, both of which amounts to like 14,000.
4. You need to get a qualified VET who will agree to attend to the pup at any point in time, I will speak and interview ur VET before I approve. 5. You will place him on a retainership agreement, in which you will pay him upfront before I give you this pup.
6. I want to see a full view of your house and its environs, need to be sure you have the facilities to raise a pup successfully.
7. I need to see an approval from all your neighbors to be sure they approve you bringing in a pet into the house at this time.
8. I also need to see your bank statement till date to be sure you have the financial capacity to raise a pet.
9. A written agreement that I can withdraw my pup at any point in time if I feel she doesn't have enough care.
10. A written agreement that you will pay the full cost of my pup including severance packages in case the pup dies while in your care.

NOTE:
You will also agree never to breed this pup, nor make money out of her in any way whatsoever.

If you agree to all these and you can put it into writing and append your signature, contact me so we could chat on it.

Bro,my younger sister has a caucasian. She found this really hairy pup,loved it and bought it without any idea what she got.2 years now and its a massive hairy dog that's all but pampered spoilt and dorminant. Not putting CO's down at any lenghts, they are impressive too,but I think they lack that swiftness and response relative to size like the boerboel. Her CO is the largest dog I've ever seen,my BB is just slightly heavier and a lot more agile. Her CO is wild,always baring fangs at strangers and barking. Two totally different dogs sha...

Without intention of arguing, my boerboel is a beast. Not as tall as most cao's but a lot more heavier, agile, ready,smart,fearless,stamina packed and heck much stronger with rock hard jaws.

Mine has bitten through the tyres of a parked honda,bent my protector,cut all its chains and has many other dogs(rotts and gsd's + 1 bullmastiff) sent to vets. Now my sis is to travel and she's bringing her large caucasian over for the whole 2 months and I ain't prepared for a fight...seperating fighting dogs at this size is a whole load of work...even for three muscled guys at home. Phew...

Every breed has its own xteristics and I'm sure if u google them, u would be more informed.
About ur dog sending a bullmastiff to the vet is just about the dogs in question and not about the breed cos if U must know, a boerboel is a product of that same bullmastiff and south african local dog but bulmastiffs are gentle.
On the bite force ish, a GSD will do worse that ur dog, it's not only about size though the weight of an animal increases the strength of the bite but in all, people has taken time to research and tell us the bite force of our lovely friends
On the caucasian note, u probably understimate them,

I don't have a farm yet and I've been quite busy to start cos I won't be there often to run it my way, but I pray I will have the time soon. In my last update, I said I wanted to relocate to my pern site but the problem is distance and the land is still inside an undeveloped area, so I'm planning on getting another one close to my office so I can combine both
