A total SWIFT cut off will not only accelerate the cost for gas but will also sky high the cost of already rising oil, which means the Russians, Nigerians, Brazilians and those oil producing nations would be making more money, almost thrice the amount they were making before the crisis started. That means same people that imposed this sanctions like the US that depends on Russian oil will be paying thrice for it, now who is foolish?

It's like you sanctioned me but whatever pain the sanction is costing me, you end up paying for it via increased prices.

It is because of this reality that the Europeans have decided to only suspend selected Russian banks from the SWIFT system.

They knew that a complete shut off of Russia would drive cost for bills up to 7 times over household expenses in their various economies, and in turn leads to more inflation in consumer goods and services, and since Europeans have very short tolerance for such hardship/inconveniences, it's most likely that the protest would begin first in some European capital much earlier before anyone would occur in Russia.

What people have failed to realize is that the Russian army haven't gone all out, (I doubt if they have used 10% of their capabilities) as they are trying as much as possible to minimise civilian losses and make Ukrainian citizens believe that they aren't against them.
If Russia goes all out, probably use just 30% of their military capabilities. Zelensky, Klitschko and the elite forming Patriots would be the first to either go under ground or flee.

This was what I told someone earlier on another thread. The Russians are even pausing their attacks to give civilians room to evacuate. The main target was to take out the government in Kiev, otherwise you would have see Russia unleashing full hell on the Ukro army. Most of you don't understand what these sanctions will cause. Apart from reducing the cash flow in their economy, Putin can't at the same time fund the war and provide for all his citizens for so long.
With time the citizens of Rusia will come out en mass to protest against Putin when hunger sets in. By the time that happens, Putin will be forced to call for a cease fire.

As of Today, Georgia has said that it will not join others to sanction Russia.
What does that tell us?

On a normal level ukrain no be small push over in this type of war. Most of the ww1 and ww2 were fought in eastern Europe of which Ukraine is part of it. Both Ukraine and Russian are not strange to each other.. Ukraine was part of d ussr and they know how most of russian fire powers work..and both countries know their Terrain well. So Russia can't win this battle easily. This is not Georgia or Lithuania or Bulgaria. This is Ukraine. The second most powerful soviet power after Russia so this is gonna be a tough battle.
