Interesting answers and questions so far! The book of proverbs actually conotes the application of wisdom in the face of difficult challenges relating to personal or outside circumstances. Thus, this is what it meant when it was stated in the said scriptures; Proverbs 26:4 "Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him." Have you ever heard someone say, "That doesn't deserve an answer"? That is about what this is saying here. The question might have been intended to trap you. At any rate, a foolish question does not become more wise by giving a foolish answer. You see, to answer his ridiculous question would be as if you are saying this is a worthwhile question. Taken together, these verses teach the appropriate way to answer a fool who is an unbeliever who rejects truth. He should not be answered with agreement to his own ideas and presuppositions, or he will think he is right. Rather he should be rebuked on the basis of his folly and shown the truth so he sees how foolish he is. (v.5) Proverbs 26:5 "Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit." This seems like a direct contrast to verse four, but on a closer look it is quite the opposite. You must be very careful how you answer. As we said above, whatever you do, you must not give the impression that this foolish question deserves an answer. The only reason to answer at all is to show him not to be conceited. |
Well, am no fan of the papal church, cos there are so many facts to doubt and be wary of it. Nevertheless, it is not enough ground to jump to speedy conclusions whenever news like this turns up. To me, this story is a hoax! Reasons: You think that if Pope Francis had announced something like this, changing the Ten Commandments and declaring adultery and homosexuality no longer sins, you would be reading about it on a single website that you've never heard of before? You don't think that might be headline news? According to the story, Francis said this during Mass in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on July 6, with over a million people in attendance. If you fell for this story, ask yourself: wait, there weren't two people who thought, “Hey, I should say something about this online”? Or maybe ask, “Does the Vatican publish the pope's homilies online?” Because yes, they do. And his homily in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on July 6, was published, but Sorry to disappoint you, a search through the vatican site got exactly zero references to the Ten Commandments. Also, a further research have revealed that the website that ran this story, Real News Right Now, is also running stories claiming that the White House and Capitol were evacuated on Wednesday because of UFOs, and so on. What a stupid hoax. |
iiiyyyk:Yes! The present nature of the national system fosters corruption. The system is poorly structured and it need immediate restructuring. No doubt about that! But the question is; who will or should bring about the restructuring? Who are those saddled with the responsibility of law making? Are we to say that, if all the senators and rep members from the whole south resolve and put forward the need for the restructuring of this nation, wont it eventually scale through at the end, even if their counterparts from the north decides otherwise? If so, what then is stopping them from even thinking along such line, let alone raising dust to bring it to pass? Why? It is simple: they dont just care whether the system is itself, faulthy or not. All they think and care about,(which they had already immagined up their greedy heads before elections) is the benefits they would reap from such lofty positions. Thus, the actual problem still point back to THE OPERATORS OF THE SYSTEM, and not just the SYSTEM itself! Corruption has more to do with individual ideology and objectivism, not just the particular structure of a system! Belgium that you mentioned was able to achieve that purpose, because they have career and people-minded political and economic ruling elites; but the same can not be said of Nigeria. Tell me, When last did you actually voted and your vote counted, especially in elections for states representatives? Or better still, what good dividends or impact of a representative government have your locality or constituency benefited since the democratic life of Nigeria began? If the answer is none or not much, it is therefore as a result of the same twin evil-- Corruption and insensitivity on the part of the ruling elites! If it wasn't there, the story would have been different, irrespective of the faulty System! it is true that we speedilyu need a change in structuring of the system, and nobody is afraid of that. But the question still remain: where are the leaders that would bring about this change? Well, the painful answer is, thery are not there because the ones we have now are so selfish and corrupt. And you can never chieve any mea ningful development where corruption and insensitivity thrives! Thats the point i was trying to make. We need a change, but the corruption wont let it! |
Greece is just a foundation of what is to come upon Europe on the long run! And many other places would follow suit. Believe you me, a global economic melt down is on the horizon. |
My brother, its not today that America has sent God packing out of its country. Infact, the US died wayback in the 1940s, after the end of the 2nd World War. And today, she is only announcing to the world that it is now a dejure Godless society! That is what it entails! And many people and nations wont find nothing wrong, and would tow the same path because, birds of the same feathers flock together! |
That is it! We have known for long that 'skin hate' is predominantly a problem of the white, not the black. I wonder how that papa would feel right now, having his life saved by someone with a skin he hated so much. Life is indeed in circles. |
The scene is truely apocalyptic. God's wrath graduallyy bearing down on the United States of Satan. And the show will begin from the "sin city", Los Angeles in Cali! |

jeffizy:Yeah, even in heaven, i would remember This corruption-free minded daura SOULJA, while them HATERS rot in HELL! |
Danjuma827:Each time i see patriots like this reacting spiritedly to national issues of this magnitude, i feel obligated the more to walk along this political section street of nairaland, that unfortunately has been invaded by babies with infantile orientations and views! I can assure you that the rot in the oil sector is something like a footage you would never mean to see, especially when you are a patriot; cos it will definitely cause you to cry out your eyes! The step taking by the President is one in the right direction, but i fear he is going to spend so much of his time cleaning up or trying to fix the mess left behind by successive governments, especially that of "the drunken master", Mr Clueless, and may have little or no time for other things. I wonder how Mr president would react or how people like you would feel, by the time it is known that Nigeria has more Oil wells and blocks than the ones currently documented! The horrors of corruption and dubiousness in the oil sector, is sequel to the Nazi holocaust. Yet, some zombified, tribalistic sentimentalists, fazed by the carnage of misinformation, emanating from being neck-deep in the waters of regionalization, would soon point out their myopic fingers accusing the President of witch haunting! Pathetic! Not withstanding, Nigeria must succeed! |
You guys should stop all these secession talks and agitation. It is an ill wind that will blow nobody any good! Economic collaboration between south south and south east is feasible, not withstanding the differences in cultural and historical background. However, the major problem at hand now, are the twin evils of corruption and the high level of government insensitivity towards the plight of the people. And wiith these still ravaging our national sense of belonging, no amount of collaboration would yield the much needed development and better standard of living: certainly not with the types of economic and political demons we have as leaders. Yes, true or fiscal federalism is spmething the Nation needs right now, but that too will amount to nothing in the absence of of a heavily minimized, if not totally eradicated corruption ruling elites at all various level of our national lives! It isn't the system that is really the major fault right now, it is mostly our sense of perception and inability to tackle a successfully institutionalized corruption as a way of life, and an overwhelming carnage of government insensitivity to the plight of the populace at large. That is the REal Problem! Just Consider this, the little amount of Federal allocation and internal generated revenue, plus the various loans and grants available to the states governments in the SS and SE sinsce the inception of democracy, what have they done with it? What good dividends of democracy has it brought to our states, your senatorial districts, reps and states constituencies, LGAs, council wards, and so on? What have the common people gain so far from their own respective leaders? I will tell you what: nothing, other than looting, embezzlement and mismangement. Your governors, my governors, your senators, my senators, reps, commissioners, chairmen, the economic oligarchs, etcs.. These are the real ENEMIES! Its not this region or that region, nor igbo, hausa or yoruba; but a terminal disease of leadership. The greedy, thieving, bastard sons of Cain who dont give a dime if you and i dies. And as long as they continue to roam the paths of our national destiny, we will continuie to experience travails and hardship; unless we are able to curtail them, if not stop them, and make them accountable for their actions and inactions. Seccession or political restructuring of the nation wont solve all of it, because it is the same people that would still constitue the leadership arrangements, and which in turn may lead to more chaos and anarchy. Libya, South Sudan, Ukraine, etc, quickly comes to mind! |
ebamma:He is alrready doing the Job, and part of that job is to ensure human and infrastructural development, and these can only be achieved by first tackling corruption. And in the fight against corruption, there are no sacred cows! Reopening the Harliburton's case, is a clear demonstration of the will to fight corruption; for you must not only been seen fighting corruption but also to discourage it in future. and this can only be effective by dealing with all known and documented cases, whether presently or previously. For in the fight against corruption, no stone must be left unturned. This was what China did, and it pays off for them. So. let the old man from Daura take his and do his thing. All we need is results! And mark you, he shall not Die! |

OLAADEGBU:Good exposition. Now check these: The following list give a summation of what we have been trying to emphasize. If the Bible is a Catholic book, 1. Why does it condemn clerical dress? (Matt. 23:5-6). 2. Why does it teach against the adoration of Mary? (Luke 11:27-28). 3. Why does it show that all Christians are priests? (1 Pet. N2:5,9). 4. Why does it condemn the observance of special days? (Gal. 4:9-11). 5. Why does it teach that all Christians are saints? (1 Cor. 1:2). 6. Why does it condemn the making and adoration of images? (Ex. 20:4-5). 7. Why does it teach that baptism is immersion instead of pouring? (Col. 2:12). 8. Why does it forbid us to address religious leaders as "father"? (Matt. 23:9). 9. Why does it teach that Christ is the only foundation and not the apostle Peter? (1 Cor. 3:11). 10. Why does it teach that there is one mediator instead of many? (1 Tim. 2:5). 11. Why does it teach that a bishop must be a married man? (1 Tim. 3:2, 4-5). 12. Why is it opposed to the primacy of Peter? (Luke 22:24-27). 13. Why does it oppose the idea of purgatory? (Luke 16:26). 14. Why is it completely silent about infant baptism, indulgences, confession to priests, the rosary, the mass, and many other things in the Catholic Church? It all shows that the roman catholic church is the hallmark of Satanism! |
It is not only morally wrong, but its also criminally wrong. The criminal code criminalized the suicide. Let alone the bible. The bible stance is clearly stated. The Bible mentions six specific people who committed suicide: Abimelech (Judges 9:54), Saul (1 Samuel 31:4), Saul’s armor-bearer (1 Samuel 31:4–6), Ahithophel (2 Samuel 17:23), Zimri (1 Kings 16:18), and Judas (Matthew 27:5). Five of these men were noted for their wickedness (the exception is Saul's armor-bearer—nothing is said of his character). Some consider Samson’s death an instance of suicide, because he knew his actions would lead to his death (Judges 16:26– 31), but Samson's goal was to kill Philistines, not himself. And it was God that tool his life in the sense that, God answered his last prayers and restore his power. So, it was God that actually took him. The Bible views suicide as equal to murder, which is what it is—self-murder. God is the only one who is to decide when and how a person should die. We should say with the psalmist, “My times are in your hands” (Psalm 31:15). God is the giver of life. He gives, and He takes away (Job 1:21). Suicide, the taking of one’s own life, is ungodly because it rejects God’s gift of life. No man or woman should presume to take God’s authority upon themselves to end his or her own life. Some people in Scripture felt deep despair in life. Solomon, in his pursuit of pleasure, reached the point where he “hated life” (Ecclesiastes 2:17). Elijah was fearful and depressed and yearned for death (1 Kings 19:4). Jonah was so angry at God that he wished to die (Jonah 4: . Even the apostle Paul and his missionarycompanions at one point“were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself” (2 Corinthians 1: . However, none of these men committed suicide.Solomon learned to “fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind” (Ecclesiastes 12:13). Elijah was comforted by an angel, allowed to rest, and given a new commission. Jonah received admonition and rebuke from God. Paul learned that, although the pressure he faced was beyond his ability to endure, the Lord can bear all things: “This happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead" (2Corinthians 1:9). So, according to the Bible, suicide is a sin. It is not the“greatest” sin—it is no worse than other evils, in terms of how God sees it. However, suicide definitely has a deep and lasting impact on those left behind. The painful scars left by a suicide do not heal easily. May God grant His grace to each one who is facing trials today (Psalm 67:1). And may each of us take hope in the promise, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13). |

Jaideyone:At all! They would never like it. Delta state has been a milking ground for the corrupt cabals. I just pray Effc should follow up with all evidence available to them. That kospital of his in south africa should be cease. The uncompleted Ughelli/Asaba road that he commissioned a week before leaving office, should be taking into account s evidence. And so many more dubious schemes of the big empty headed worst governor of all ages. |
Faba:Thanks bro. We can't do nothing but for the truth! |
francizy:Exactly what i meant! Corruption is a national problem, and if the fight against it is brought here and there, we should all be happy. |
francizy:Exactly! You see, the problem with some of us is that we don't want to see things the way they should be. I got your message very clearly. Corruption and government insensitivity has been the twin terror factors bedevilling our national order. And if, like you rightly said, our government in the south-south and south-east are visibly shaken and dealt with, and thus negate their corrupt tendencies, who would benefit the more from it? We the people, of course. And if the North or west decide to keep their corrupt personels, what is our business? Will a Fayose's misrule and mismanagement directly relate to Delta or Enugu? If no, then why are some of us crying foul in the ungoing war against corruption? And who says the war on corruption is totally biased? Is Lamido and co a southerner or easterner? Some of us always want to make much ado about nothing, tribalise and regionalised issues under myopic views and delusive poilitical tendencies. We would blindly and tribalistically defend our own, even when they are rampantly impoverishing the people they are meant to rule or supposedly fighting for. Can anyone point to one meaningful thing all the successive governors of the states, senators, reps, chairmen, inter alia, in the south-south and sout east have done that largely impacted positively on the lives of the citizenry in those places, other than to loot, embezzled and mismanage the little accrued to them? Or what has the likes of Tompolo, Ateke Tom, Asari and others, done for the region? Were they not supposed to be fighting for the common good of the region? But now that they have access to billions upon billions, what have the common man benefited from these hawks of satan? I will tell you; nothing! Today, Asari has one of the best university in the west africa region, but it would sadden your heart to know that he sighted it in Cotonou. What happen to his own Ijaw land? Very pathetic! Yet this same man would later come out to urge you to fight; fight that only benefit them. Tompolo has done nothing for his people. Ateke, nothing! Uduaghan, at least did something, and it was a remarkable one: a whooping debt left-over of 636 billion naira for Okowa to enjoy. Isn't that wonderfu? And if this man is to be brought to book now, some idiotic tribal sentimentalists would still cry out that Buhari is bias. There is nothing more despicable than a man who chose to sink with the captain of a boat who have misled him much of the way, even when a life line is thrown at him. Very pathetic! |
OREMUSSANCTUS:But God never said His prophet and anointed should gather His people under a poorly constructed building and let it fall on their heads to cause untimely death. Neither did God ever urged any of His servant to deny justice by trying to block the investigation and inquest into the cause and death of the people, as did the synagogue. God is a just God, and a God of justice! And if His so-called servant and anointed goes out of line, then he must dance to the tune of his own mischief and negligent conduct. For God is never partial. |
omenka:Just like the way that drunk waterside man appointed ijaws to fill the post of many agencies, the worst being given into the hands of his criminal ijaw militants, security of pipeline and securement of the water ways; something that the Navy should be doing. Yet, nobody cried tribal about it. But now that the President is reversing such numerous nonesense, some myopic nut heads are crying foul. Very disgusting indeed |
Whatever! The Abuja declaration of 1989 is one of the senseless and tribalistic propagations of the core ethnic Hausa political demagots still myopically thriving under the influence of the carry-over wicked British policy of Divide and Rule. But in reality, nothing has changed much since that time. Most parts of the North, despite having the upper hand in appointments to key ministerial and strategic positions, still remain the most backward and marginalized at all levels in the country. The truth is, the problem of Nigeria goes beyond ethnicity and the issue of regional and religious dychotomy. It has more to do with a "complete failure in leadership and lack of career politicians," conversely resulting in distortion in national ideology and defect in national interest and directives principles of state policy and objectives. Rather, what we have is a backload of greedy, selfish and inhuman political and economic dwarfs, both in acts and in ideas, all emanating from a colonial bloodline of divide and conquer; the aftermath of the civil war, and the dscovery of oil, supremely uncladded the true nature of the Nigerian leadership cadre. And the pathetic overall result, is the looting, mismanagement and massive corruption that has become the norm of society today--with political infighting, witch hunting, and motivated killings of political and economical opponents all accross the nation: with no region, geopolitical zone, tribe or religion left out in the carnage for the soul of power. A true and despicable legacy of the Nigerian leader. The recent Biafra, on the other hand, is just a misconcepted agitation recently awaken by some disgruntled elements who felt left out in the scheme of things, not actually because the Igbos are marginalized. The real Biafra struggle died with the legend, Odumegwu Ojukwu, who in those good, old days, fought for what he rightfully percieved as a northern/western Nigeria ploy to undermined the rest of the Nigeria state. And the events that followed in the wake of the western regional elections of 1965, couple with rapid trends of coups and counter coups, was the last straw that broke the camel's back. Thus, the civil war that follows can rightly be interpreted as a result of tribal differences and percieved ethnic supremacy, particularly with the North. But today, the story is different. Although no igbo has tasted the hot seat of power in the Aso Villa (mainly attributed to the loss of the civil war,) but not much has changed. every part of this country remain marginalized in so many ways that can make a true patriot cry in agony. It is no longer a case of this tribe or that region dominating or trying to dominate. In fact, the northern part of this country touted as the Problem, has produced most of the leaders of this country, but yet, is today the most backward and under developed part in the country. The south-south that produces the bulk of the nations wealth, has nothing of note to show for it; not even when their own son was opportuned to sit on the golden seat. So too the south east: what have the governors, senators reps, chairmen, etc, etc etc, done for the people over there? Nothing, other than to loot, mismanage and kill one another over the little coming to that part. It thus means that we have a common enemy, and that common enemy is the Elites! The RULING ELITES! |
philips70:Exactly! Trolls are everywhere trying to discredit the efforts of the president in the quest to turn around the devastating effects and carnage that was the hallmark of the Gej maladministration. Yet, some zombified internet passers-by can't see that what we are facing now is as a result of the unrivalled cluelessness and ineptitude administrative display of the previous 'madministration' called government spill over. And they expect Buhari, just only two months in the job, to turn around the effect of a wasted six years. Nevertheless, the president must succeed, Nigeria would be up and doing again. And if the likes of barcanista and his fellow supporters of the drunk waterside ninconpoo doesn't like it, they are free to cross the borders and team up with ISIS. |
skyface00:Another country would be too far, the lagoon is open for them to jump in. |
A satanist speaking for Satanism. She and her western cohorrts we die trying to make Nigeria reverse its stance on this rape on nature. If Nigeria Goodluck, a christian, didn't do it, certainly a Nigerria under Buhari, a muslim, won't even want to hear of it. So lets see how this pathetic sons of Lucifer would bring about their evil intentions regarding Nigeria and the likes pf Uganda. Nonesense! |
