Antonio Conte’s agent, Federico Pastorello has insisted the coach has not agreed a pre-deal with Arsenal.
There have been speculations that Conte is in line to replace Mikel Arteta at the Emirates.
Arteta is under serious pressure in North London, having failed to win a single game this season in the Premier League.
The Gunners have also not recorded any goal in their defeats to Brentford, Chelsea and Manchester City. .
Although Conte is out of work having left Inter Milan, he is not close to returning to the dugout.

Manchester United striker, Edinson Cavani, has said he is “sad and upset” over the club’s decision to prevent him from representing Uruguay during this international break.

The Lagos State Government has said roads leading to the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, will be closed from noon on Friday.
Later in the day, Nigeria take on Liberia in a World Cup qualifying match at the stadium.
In a statement on Thursday, Lagos government said there would be a temporary closure of roads at Service lane from Barracks by the tip of Stadium Bridge, Alaka service lane to connect the stadium.
Movement from Kilo, Masha through Shitta bridge to the stadium will also be closed. .
Although the match starts 5pm, traffic leaving and coming into Surulere will be diverted at the Stadium from 12pm.
Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, confirmed that vehicles would be barred from accessing Surulere from Teslim axis as from 12pm, including the Service lane inbound the National Stadium from Alaka and Teslim Balogun Stadium from Ojuelegba.
“Traffic heading towards Ikorodu Road from Surulere is also advised to make use of Akerele to link Ogunlana Drive inwards Itire road and connect Ojuelegba to their destination,” Oladeinde said.

According to her, it was a terrible moment in her life as she collapsed after the robbers left. .
She noted that the incident caused her trauma as she became scared of being in the dark and having to hear noises around her, which made her visit the hospital for medical care.

“I got shot by robbers after they attacked my house. I was saved by my landlady because I collapsed immediately they left and was rushed to the hospital.
“I started having trauma after the incident, became conscious whenever there’s a noise around me. If it’s dark and I’m sleeping and see a shadow, I‘ll start shouting, the incident affected me that bad,” she said.

Petroleum Product Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria PETROAN has attributed the hike in the prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, LPG also known as cooking gas in Nigeria to the current price in the international market, activities of middle and political factors.
Rivers State Chairman of the PETROAN, Francis Dimkpa in an interview in Port Harcourt on Monday said LPG is traded at the international price in Nigeria, despite the fact that Nigeria produces part of the LPG consumed in the country.
Dimkpa disclosed that some gas plants operators do not have access to LPG from Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas, NLNG, thereby hiking the prices. Prayer For New Born
In his word “it very painful and difficult to understand how a country like ours that is producing LPG otherwise known as cooking gas is going through such a hike in the price of domestic gas like this”.
“But I think that it is connected with the international price of LPG. I do not know whether it is clear to all of us that LPG in this country is not traded at the domestic price, it is traded at the international price. Most times NLNG carries this product to Lagos before even coming to Port Harcourt”.
“We also import LGP to an extent. The business of LPG is shrouded in a lot of diplomatic and political issues where registered LPG plants do not have, so to say direct access to buy from NLNG. There are a lot of political off-takers in place, making the price of LPG secondary before it gets to the primary consumers.
Dimkpa also called on the government to step in and regularize the price of LPG, adding that retail outlets owners are willing to buy products directly from NLNG.

Months after allegedly making her lose a pregnancy, man again assaults his wife over a dress
A formal university lecturer, Ukachi Onyema, has been accused of brutalizing his wife, Mrs Amarachi Onyema, over a dress she wanted to wear to their child’s graduation ceremony.
It was gathered that the alleged assault occurred on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at their residence in Umuahia, Abia State.
According to a source, “They have been married for seven years and have three children. He’s fond of beating her at the slightest provocation.
Apparently, he b*at her up last Saturday and stabbed her all over her body because he said he didn't like what she wanted to wear to their daughter's graduation ceremony. He tore the dress into pieces and all of these happened in the presence of their kids.
Three months ago, this lady was pregnant with twins, and he kept beating her until the twins d*ed in her womb at 7 months. She was in and out of hospital and almost d*ed from bleeding.

Usman Baba, inspector-general of police, has ordered an investigation into the alleged detention of Glory Okolie, a 21-year-old woman by officers of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) in Imo state.
Okolie was said to have been arrested on June 17 by IRT officers in order to use her as bait to arrest her boyfriend who is suspected to be a member of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The family of the young lady had been searching for her.
Harrison Gwamnishu, an activist and director-general of Behind Bars Human Rights Foundation, in a Facebook post, said it was later discovered that Okolie was in the custody of IRT in Imo allegedly cooking and washing for the officers.
Gwamnishu accused the police of extorting the family when they went to ask for her bail. He said Okolie was later transferred to Abuja.
“21-year-old Miss Glory Okolie who enrolled for 2021 JAMB exam has been in police detention since 17th June, 2021 till date. She left the house and never returned,” the activist wrote on Facebook. Weekly Prayers
“Since 17th June, her families had searched for her in hospitals and mortuaries but couldn’t find her.
“Ending of June, 2021, a young man who was freed from IRT office Tiger Base Owerri told the Okolie family that he saw Glory in the custody of IRT officers cooking and washing clothes for them.
“The family immediately went to IRT office and requested to see Glory and bail her out and till date it’s been one story or the other. The IRT officers allegedly continued to extort the family and denied them access to see Glory.”
Speaking with the Punch, the activist said his team met with Olatunji Disu, the newly-appointed IRT boss, on Thursday, but the police could not link the lady with any offence aside being the girlfriend of a suspected member of IPOB.
“The office is cooperating with us. The current head of the unit said he just resumed and that the IG commissioned a committee to look into people arrested for IPOB issues after the Glory story went viral. The committee is already profiling the suspects,” Gwamnishu said.
“They are many; they are more than 100 and they are interviewing them. We learnt the committee will give a report tomorrow morning and we were told to come and pick the girl by 11am.”

Five people have been reported dead in a boat accident at the Farar Doka stream in the Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State.
The Niger State Emergency Management Agency confirmed the incident in Minna on Tuesday.
The Director General of the agency, Alhaji Ibrahim Inga, said, “The passengers were from Unguwan Dan Daudu, heading for Bangi for a naming ceremony . The incident happened at Farar Doka stream due to flooding. There were nine people on the canoe; four were rescued, while five were missing till Saturday when their dead bodies were recovered and taken away.”
But Maaruf Kahihum, a spokesperson for the Chairman of Mariga LGA, Ibrahim Idris, said the boat was carrying about 20 passengers when it capsized a few minutes after taking off.
He added that four people were rescued on the spot.
Meanwhile, the council chairman, Idris, has described the incident as unfortunate.
He sympathised with the families and associates of the deceased, and prayed for the quick recovery of the injured and traumatised.
Police smashes 14-member kidnapping syndicate in Adamawa, recovers 18 phones
The Adamawa State Command of the Nigeria Police has smashed a 14-member kidnapping syndicate.
The command says it recovered 18 handsets with 23 SIM cards from the suspects.
The Command said in a statement passed to newsmen Tuesday night by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, that the suspects were all arrested following credible information from a reliable source.
“The operatives of Adamawa State Police Command attached to SIB have recorded another breakthrough by apprehending a syndicate of 14 notorious kidnappers terrorizing innocent citizens,” the police stated.
The police gave the identities of the suspects as Sanda Buba who is 33 years old and resident of Bausman village in Chigari in Fufore LGA, Aliyu Abubakar (34 years old and resident of Yolde Pate in Yola South LGA), Ashiru Sarkin Yamma (a 25-year-old youth with no fixed address.
The others include Tukur Hammadu, 35 years old and a resident of Yolde Pate, Yola South LGA, Abdul Isa, 35, from Samunaka in Yola South LGA, Idris Musa, 27, from Malabu, Fufore LGA, Samaila Garba, 25, a resident of Bunga, Malabu district, Fufore LGA, and Mumini Idirisu, 25 and resident of Bunga, Malabu district, Fufore LGA, among others.
The Police said investigations led to the phone and SIM card recoveries, and that the suspects had confessed during interrogation of kidnapping Alhaji Sale Idi of Farang in Fufore LGA, Ya’u Adamu of Ganye town and Jones Hayatu of Kojoli Village, Jada Local Government Areas respectively, and collected huge amounts of money as ransom.
A 29-year-old suspect, Oke Adebomi, was on Monday, August 16, 2021, arrested by operatives of the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, for allegedly raping a minor.
The suspect was alleged to have molested a four-year-old victim at his residence on Adegoroye Street, Oshinle, Akure, the state capital, shortly after she returned from school.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Olufemi Omole, the arrest of the suspect was carried out by the Anti-human Trafficking, Illegal Migration and Gender Based Unit of the Command.
Confessing to the crime, the suspect said that he sexually abused the minor by only kissing and using his manhood to caress her private part.
Following the medical examination, it was, however, revealed there was no penetration but there were signs that Adebomi had inserted his manhood on the private part of the innocent girl.
Meanwhile, the State Commandant of the Corps, Hammed Abodunrin lamented the repeated cases of defilement of minors, despite the continuous sensitization and campaign against such inhuman practices.
The suspect would be charged to court at the expiration of the corps investigation, the commandant asserted.
A 32-year-old businessman, Ezekiel Igbokwe, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly killing his wife’s lover, Victor Olatundun.
Igbokwe was said to have killed Olatundun after he caught him having sex with his wife at their matrimonial home.
The suspect allegedly committed the offence at about 12am at Peace Lodge on Itura Street, Awa Ijebu, Ijebu-North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The suspect, who committed the crime on Wednesday, July 27, was arrested by the police the following day.
Igbokwe and his 28-year-old wife were among the 23 suspects paraded at the Ogun State Police Command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, on Thursday, for various offences ranging from murder to illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
Igbokwe, who said he was a businessman, explained that he had returned from his trip to Onitsha and met Victor on top of his wife on their matrimonial bed.
He said he picked a machete in the toilet and cut the victim in the neck and hand. Olatundun reportedly died on the way to the hospital. Igbokwe, who deals in electronics, said he was born in Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.
He said, “I travelled to Onitsha on July 25, and when I came back on July 27, I met a man inside my room making love to my wife. Then we started fighting. The man was stronger than me. When I saw he could overpower me, I got a cutlass in my toilet and dealt him blows in the hand and neck. On the way to the hospital, the fuel in the car finished and he died.” Igbokwe said he committed the crime due to anger, adding that he never meant to kill the victim. He claimed that he had never met Olatundun before, saying he also never suspected that his wife was having an extra-marital affair with anyone.
PUNCH Metro learnt that Igbokwe and his wife, Juliet, have three children aged nine, seven and five. Juliet, who sobbed intermittently, said her alleged lover had been pressurising her for a relationship for some time.
She explained that she had always told him she was married, but the victim never gave up until he ended up at their matrimonial home on that night.
Juliet, who said she sold snuff, said Victor was her supplier and he pestered her for six months before she finally gave in. She said she suspected that the deceased used a charm on her, as she could not explain how it all happened. She said, “He had been disturbing me that he wanted to marry me, but I said I was married.
“On the day of the incident, I really can’t say if he used a charm on me. All I know is that he called me that he wanted to see me and I told him not to come; he knew my house and when he came, I didn’t know what happened.
“He used to come and deliver snuff to me in the house. On the day of the incident, he told me he was coming from somewhere and that it was already late. He wanted to sleep in our place till the next day. He didn’t know that my husband was away. He tried to sleep with me, but later he didn’t.”
Juliet, who claimed that she got married to her husband in 2005, said the husband did not take good care of her and the children. She said their marriage had been turbulent and fraught with fights and quarrels.
The mother of three said each time there was a fight, her husband would leave the house for months.
