Christianity EtcRe: The Christian Chatbox ( sticky) by ARareGem(f): 3:28am On Mar 21, 2013
When i got up, I could hear my neighbours laughing and talking outside. I could hear music. Before, all i could hear was a quiet gloomy silence. The way that woman just stared at me was.... Anyways, I prayed for a long time in tongues when I finally regained my strength. God is merciful. And He is almighty. smiley

I can't help but think this is how people die in their sleeps..

But the devil is a liar! cheesy No matter what he tried, I still enjoyed the delicious stew I cooked just that afternoon. grin
Christianity EtcRe: The Christian Chatbox ( sticky) by ARareGem(f): 3:15am On Mar 21, 2013
I started praying weakly. Commanding her to get off me. She didn't even bulge. Man, I felt cold creep up my spine. I began praying in tongues, still nothing. Doubt was crawling into my mind. I was thinking this is it. This is how I'll die. People will break into my room to find me dead. I just continued praying in tongues feebly. I have no idea what happened, but she just suddenly vanished. My eyes opened and it took great effort for me to get up from the bed.

My God! It was frightening.
Christianity EtcRe: The Christian Chatbox ( sticky) by ARareGem(f): 3:03am On Mar 21, 2013
My first reaction was to jump up and ask her how the hell she got into my room, but I couldn't move. She knelt on one knee on the bed and stretched out her left leg over my midsection. I couldn't breathe. I tried pushing her leg off me, but I couldn't. She just stayed there looking at me, saying nothing. I wanted to call out for help from my neighbours, but had no strength.

I could have sworn it was real. It was exactly as my room was, the same smell, same lighting.. But I felt I was dying.

Vivid?

Well, it was around 3 pm that I decided to take a little nap cos my head ached. I was restless and coupled with the heat (no light as usual), I just kept tossing and turning. I woke up,-I guess I had fallen asleep somehow- looked at the clock, 'twas about 5:30pm and the light had come back. So I decided to rest a few more mins.

The next thing I saw, there was a young woman on top me. She was dark. Had dreads that covered the left part of her face.
a quiet time is what you need and be sure to ask for a specific sign smiley
Thanks, sister. But in addition to waiting on the Lord, I shall take one step at a time. smiley

Good morning, house. Here's the thought that just crossed my mind: 'Devil na area boy, but God na Godfather.' cool grin So don't fret, God is in control.

Bro Ihe, may God bless you. smiley

Ihedinobi: To my brother and sister who are troubled about their current devotional habits, why are you troubled, do you know?
For me, it was because of the promptings of the HolySpirit which I refuse to heed. I got the shock of my life yesterday afternoon! Those damned witches attacked me- I thought it was the end. I'm grateful to God for bringing me out alive.

My brother and sister, PRAY without ceasing o and abeg, remember me in your prayers.
EducationRe: A Thread For Finance And Economics Majors by ARareGem(f): 5:39am On Mar 20, 2013
Thank you for openning this thread!

This is my question: Why is there an inverse relationship between the prices of bonds and interest rates?

Also, would anyone be so kind as to suggest some microeconomic research topics that would make use of logit mode of analysis. I'm stuck on getting a topic.

Thanks in anticipation.
I'm still not sure what mine is per se, but i love to get a confirmation or a go ahead from God taking any big step. I also love to believe that if our spirit is in tune with God's spirit, then His spirit will witness to our spirit the will of God for us...so technically, anything God agrees to that we do turns out to be his purpose for us. smiley
I subscribe to this. But the problem is I'm yet to get confirmation from the Holy Spirit. So I'm weary. sad

Greetings, Anonimus.

Tundeiknow, the ish for me is in knowing which part and in what area I'm to contribute.

Muskeeto, I don't think people can learn a skill they didn't have the natural.. abilities/tendencies for in the first place. I feel it's just that they didn't know they had it in them.

Yes, we're all called to spread the knowledge of Christ. But remember that we are the body of Christ and each part has its own role to play. E.g., the eyes and the hands don't have the same function.

Hello, everyone. I've truly missed the drama and the love.... cheesy Been busy trying to pay attention...

How many of us are absolutely sure of our God-given purpose in this world and how did we come to that knowledge?

Wishing you a nice week. smiley
HealthRe: How Are You Coping With The Current Heat Wave? by ARareGem(f): 8:42am On Mar 04, 2013
It's hell on earth!

I was what you would call immune to heat. I do not sweat. But see me now. I get drenched in sweat every blessed day. ;( I feel so hot sometimes that I wish I could pull off my skin. See the hair I wasted money to relax some few days ago, it's already frizzled. If not that my hair is long and precious, Lord knows I would have barbed it down to kpalolo.

Not to mention that dreadful drumming noise from different gens. And the headache, oh, the headache!

Stop global warming, abeg!!

But I'm grateful I'm still alive. I must make heaven o. Hell is not an option at all, at all.

If you've not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you're on a lonnng thing.

Christianity EtcRe: The Christian Chatbox ( sticky) by ARareGem(f): 1:54am On Feb 27, 2013
You would agree with me that there are other of God's creation aside the earth. An analogy is the 8 other planets. So, the creation account in Genesis only speaks of the creation of the earth.
We are not privileged, as far as I know, to have an account of other creations of God.

Hope I've made sense....?
Christianity EtcRe: The Christian Chatbox ( sticky) by ARareGem(f):
Damex333: " ON WHICH DAY OF THE CREATION DID GOD CREATE HELL,OR WAS IT CREATED AFTER THE WHOLE CREATION"
A tricky question to answer.. In Genesis1:1, we're told God created the heavens and the earth. Further down Genesis, we're given a detailed explanation of how EARTH and all within it was created. Not how the heavens were created or anything outside the earth (with the exclusion of the sun, moon and stars)...

Fear your fears. Doubt your doubts. BELIEVE GOD! cheesy

Good morning, everyone!
Erm, I'm soliciting prayers from you all. Please, pray that God will cause my capacity to assimilate quickly to triple. That He would bless my memory. And that my intelligent quotient would increase tremendously that it would shock you. grin I'm serious o.

How do they even measure your IQ, sef? undecided

CFCfan: Yeah, but that trend is changing in Nigeria. In most Naija music videos today, bikini-clad ladies are a common sight.
Even regular people now don bikinis at Lagos beaches.
True. But the trend in Nigeria changing doesn't mean God's standard is changing. smiley
Christianity EtcRe: The Christian Chatbox ( sticky) by ARareGem(f): 9:32pm On Feb 18, 2013
CFCfan: Dressing modestly is good, but the definition of 'modest' could vary from one individual to another. Short dresses could be classy, if they are just above the knee. (I hope I don't sound like a pervert).
PERVERT ALERT!! cheesy

Just kidding, but you're right when you say people think differently on what is modest.
Christianity EtcRe: The Christian Chatbox ( sticky) by ARareGem(f): 9:22pm On Feb 18, 2013
@HBG, lol at a no...no for your child going naked. I totally agree. Personally, I think wearing a bikini reveals way too much skin. But I guess that's because I was bread and buttered in Nigeria. Hmmm....
Christianity EtcRe: Christians Would You Help An Atheist In This Case? by ARareGem(f): 9:00pm On Feb 18, 2013
^^
I think that's a perfectly reasonable question as it applies. It would be the same thing as aiding the atheist to do more evil. Lord only knows how many bloggers he would be able to confuse.

For an atheist to convince a man into accepting unbelief in the existence of God, he ultimately leads that man to eternal damnation. Eternal damnation is far worse than physical death which you consider to be a crime.

Personally, I would refuse that job.

superbloke: Morning everyone!

Anyone read the Left Behind series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins? Amazing books!
I've read two books by Tim LaHaye Why You Act The Way You Do and Spirit Controlled Temparament. These books helped me a whole lot.

At present, I'm reading Renewing The Mind by Casey Treat and Imagine by Frank Damazio. They're enlightening reads. smiley
