RED ALERT!!! |
There're histories of black boerboels but this sure isn't a boerboel. The breeder only wants to lure your client into buying from him. Post pictures of the sire and dam and let's see. I can at least testify to spitsvuur Achilles' purity. He's a good stud, seen some of the pups he fathered. |
Name the dog "kabiru sodiq" |
fnep2smooth:Mehn...You wicked o...How can you claim that's a mistake? |
Chillext:Buy a crocodile. They are good pets ![]() |
aguizm:I can explain on his behalf...The guy mated the dog here in Naija, then sent it to Italy to deliver there because he want make the puppies be citizen, so them go fit get easy access to obodo oyibo. |
Akunyun:I only spoke my mind na. @all, e don do o. I hope ur comments won't make that bros go throwey d dog. On a more serious note now, you have a strong looking dog there with a nice coat but she's way beyond being a pure bred. So if you wanna sell her, let the price suit her pedigree, only then can you get a buyer. But if I was in your shoes, I wouldn't sell that dog. Why would I sell a dog I've nursed till that age? Hell no!!! You can still make dough outa her without selling her. |
Akunyun:Aha my guy, e never reach tha level na. The dude is only marketing his pet, his only undoing is passing it for a pure bred GSD. You never even allow am set price. Who knows, he might set the price at 10k or thereabout. @OP...no mind them jare, your ministry will move to the permanent site. Abeg you gree N6,500? I need to get a dog for my village chief, he needs a dog wey go dey help am kill rat. ![]() |
That's the product of mixed breeding...It's always tough to determine the specific breed cos of the countless unidentifiable features. Love your dog for his personality and not for the breed he is...If you keep asking people for the breed, u get discouraged at the end of the day... NB: Some mongrels are even preferable over many heavy breeds in character and carriage. |
Mehn!!! This dog is so pure...I'm sure she was imported from either congo or Cameroon, or probably sudan. |
oluomoadebayo:As regards my age, "i'm way way over 2 scores and close to the ring". Seems you enjoy it when people nurse your ego but that's one thing i'll never do. I'm the blunt type. I'm not against raw diet, the fact that i'm against it now doesn't make me right. And pls quote and unquote, any comment I make on NL is always based on my personal experiences and of those around me. On raw diet for the younger days of my breeding career. I still stand my ground, I f you wanna advice people on anything, let them be aware of the consequences too. What works for James might no work for John. We have a lot of newbies in here who will stop at nothing to try out every new idea they come across. So let's be wary of our posts and comments. Thanks |
oluomoadebayo:Been into dogs since I was 10. I guess you still need a whole lot of lecture on the basics of feeding but I won't wanna go into details...Raw Feeding does not literarily mean feeding dogs on raw meat, cos that's the average man's interpretation. All i'm saying is this, anytime we wanna advice people to try something new, let them know the adverse effects too. "Your diet determines your personality", "You are what you eat"...Rings any bell? |
oluomoadebayo:Switch to raw, cut your vet bills but you'll end up paying up surgery bills cos your pet will end up wild and I pray you don't fall victim. Ask the owner of those dogs who bit off omonigho's scalp. His response will shock you... To all breeders and pet lovers, please anytime we open threads on issues like this, let's endeavor to tell people about the adverse effects too. What works for James might not work for John. You might place your pets exclusively on RAW, it works for you cos you stay in a controlled environment, probably you stay alone with the dogs and there's no possibility of them attacking strangers. A fool might take to your advice and start the RAW thingy, not considering the fact that he lives in a 6-flat rented apartment where there are a lot of neighbors. Raw feeding has its good sides but I can't advice it cos it has a lot of bad sides too. When your pet gets a taste of blood, he develops this wild instincts, his taste buds are adapted to the taste of blood and his jaw to crushing the bones the ordinary pet will shy away from. He also develops this guard instincts. Please read up a lot more on this before going into it. No offense please, just a piece of my mind. |
lahit14: DidiLove1:Home-made food my foot, who on earth offers such a suggestion? Also suggesting raw meat as treats, I hope you can contain the drama when trouble looms. |
deltateam:Guy, start with a pure bred mongrel...They are easy to raise and maintain. Moreover, they have a stable health. If you raise a female mongrel to maturity, in a bit you start producing puppies. If you save up the money accrued from like 3 successive litters, then you can get yourself a GSD or so. |
HIGHESTPOPORI:Sell to those customers of yours na, why bug us here?...If you can't post pictures here, then forget it |
tunjiano:Bros, it's like you have a liking for crossbreds...I bet you can even crossbreed a Lhasa and a neopolitan mastiff sef. Na person like you dey mate Chihuahua with great dane. |
Jjrhymez:Is it KUSA or AKC registered? Is it tattooed or micro chipped? Have you administered the first shot of vaccines? Please post pictures of the parents and grandparents. One more thing abeg, E FIT CATCH THIEF? |
knyte:Ain't interested, thanks... |
Seun:jEEZ!!! I don't believe you just said that!!! The peak of cruelty upon mankind is circumcision. Have you ever watched a kid being circumcised? OMG!!! It's a horrible sight. It is usually done when the kid is 2weeks old or thereabout. The kid cries for hours even after the whole cropping process. Even the healing process is more painful, cos a lot of treatment is applied on the kid's organ to ensure a fast healing and prevention of infection. All these stuff adds to the kid's agony and pain. Unlike dock-tailing where you make use of a dock-tape at a very early stage of the pup's life when he knows no pain. The tail falls off after the 3rd day. The pup only cries at the instant you use the dock-tape on him, after which he forgets the pain. Even the pup's cries are not cries of pain as such, just occasional moans when the other pups hit the tail during the search for breast milk... |
knyte:What's in it for you? Everyone goes into business for profit motives, dnt tell me you're running an NGO? |
Mckandre:You haven't answered my question. Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), Canadian Pediatric Society, International Coalition for Genital Integrity (ICGI) amongst other organizations made a degree several decades ago abolishing circumcision amongst humans, threatening to bring to book anyone caught in the act. Yet that didn't stop our mothers from getting us circumcised and that won't deter us from circumcising our kids and grandkids. This is a trend that goes on and on... |
Please don't neglect the fact that tail docking is usually done to preserve and maintain certain breed standards...I'll ask a simple question, circumcision in Nigeria amongst the yorubas and ibos although the practice has been ruled out by foreign orgs as being inhuman, yet we still circumcise our kids. And yet amongst hausas, they see circumcision as a taboo. My question is this, would you rather not circumcise your kid because it has been tagged an act of cruelty? |
msMonyei:Do a price review. Just an advice |
Drealbunmi:This is highly logical. Your cauc just lost his territory to a new entrant. This is common amongst canines who move in packs. The moment you lose your spot at the "head" of the table, you tend to operate in submission... One more thing, you need to create a spirit of brotherhood amongst your pets. There're a lot of ways to go about that. Teach them to live in one accord. They them on regular evening walks, never allow them eat together, teach them to respect each other's boundaries, etc. |
wow!!! I guess this thread was created for dog haters...I think u've all seen this as an avenue to purge your aggression. why not post pictures of the 2 dogs with their owner being arrested or #idonbelieveit#...Wonderful tale you just told us though, nice one |
lalaboy:Hey Bro...I mean no offense, but there's a tradition here which everyone is expected to follow. I understand your point, the fact that scammers use the pictures for their fraudulent acts, but there's always a way out...Picmix the pictures or probably inscribe your company name or something. |
location...also post pictures of their dam and sire. |
aguizm: Thanks Boss for the advice. Am starting up with GSD and she is almost 5 months old. I grew up with lots of mongrels as a kid in our family house but this is my first time of owing a dog myself independently.Hmmm u started as a 10 year old kid, that mean I started very late at my age of working towards been a successful breeder. Hoping to learn more from u Boss.Never too late to achieve anything in life. The fact remains that you're somewhere now, what u should do is aim for where you wanna be in the nearest future. If your GSD is 5months old now, that's a good start cos I see you producing your first litter of pups sometimes towards the latter months of 2015. In every litter you produce, always endeavor to invest in another good breed entirely, I mean introducing a new stock to your collection. If you do this repetitively for 2-3 consequent litters you produce, then you're getting somewhere...You still have a lot to learn though, but just keep your questions coming in on NL and i'm sure you'll always get your answers here. KUDOS!!! |
aguizm: loll they don't even need your care, they can take very good care of themselves ooo.Them no send at alllllll.Very strong breed of dog I.e mongrels. That's wrong bro. If I should breed a mongrel for just 2months, you'll actually think he's a Labrador or something. Someone else might breed a bulldog and one will think its a mongrel. The beauty of a dog comes from the degree of the care and attention he receives. I hear people tagging mongrels as "local dogs", there's no such name. Any breed could develop the habit of mongrels if not properly cared for, hence becoming local. |
