Romance › Re: Is It Wrong For Your Fiancee’s Parents To Ask How Much You Earn Monthly? by ArcToyin(m): 4:45pm On Feb 05, 2017 |
Gflat: Actually this is the right thing to do... No parent want their daughters to suffer from the hands of a broke boy. Let me share my thoughts in this.
Let's take this from the religious community: A woman is mostly believed to be soft hearted, an item of delicacy and someone you care for (Men are designed to care for women that is why they are referred to as the HEAD)
Enough of the sideway talks. Let's accelerate the hammer towards the nail.
Ladies make sure you have nothing to do with broke boys. As accurate as this sounds many girls will still try to be Sentimental about the golden fact. Broke boys have nothing to offer.
Ok let me give you a quick scenario.
Yester-evening I was at a restaurant on the island just to relax and get a bit of serenity. While I was chilling with what I had requested for earlier, I noticed a couple sitting opposite my table. I could feel the love from her heart and the optimism for a better future for both of them but what Spoilt the picture was Their table has all sort of similarities to the Sahara desert. It is so embarrassing to say as beautiful as the lady looked he couldn't make her feel good on a date and later on he got her a chicken pie and ice cream. I felt disgusted at the sight of this!
Ok, having mentioned that, I want to inform you ladies about a Proven point.
No guy will choose you over a richer lady.
This might seem funny to you but that is the truth. That guy that keeps reminding you how much he loves and adores you? That guy who wouldn't stop sending you good morning/good night messages? That guy that sounds romantic and sweeps you off your feet? He will desert you at the twinkle of an eye immediately he Uncovers a rich lady.
So tell me ladies, why are you forcing this to work with him? Why are you suffering when someone who isn't looking half as good as you are is being treated like a real woman? Why trek under the hot sun then later jump into a hot distressful danfo bus while your mates are sitting with their man in his latest Ac filled cool machine?
It is no news that Women are emotional beings but being emotional shouldn't equals stupidity. If you don't care about your future at least care about the future of your kids and their upbringing.
PS: Don't quote me to spill your conundrum. I don't reply idiots misleading message |

seXytOhbAd: This is so childish though. So calling people dear, sweetheart will lead to illicit sex? Please define illicit sex jare? Is it illicit when a babe slips on a banana, flips and lands On my cassava "by mistake"? Lol. There's no such illicit sex.... Maybe apart from rape. Now that's illicit sexual intercourse between the unmarried or extra marital affair is called illicit sex |

CHARLOE: The important thing is he was conceived out of wedlock, Mary married Joseph with pregnancy. If its today, d church will indirectly force d couple to do abortion! It isnt the important thing, but i agree she was pregnant before marriage. The church is not forcing anybody to abort, they don't just want to join three persons together. Sex is met for the married. The church will be held unholy if they went ahead joining those that perhaps through fornication got married. Did Mary and Joseph go to church for any ceremony? |

[quote author=Anuoluwapo3054 post=51940293]I want to use this to encourage you not to lose hope and keep believing that God still work wonders. I am a fresh graduate, I finished from one of the best federal University this year... July to be precise and I did my convocation around October. I fell victim of excemption from the Nysc scheme due to age ish and I wasn't ready to change my age and swear a false affidavit to that effect even when I could get it changed in 2mins... I refused and my mates were saying all sorts to me... In the midst of this, I remain unshakable. I obtain other things from school like my student copy of Transcript and my certificate then I began to send applications out to be considered for a Job... In the process I traveled down to Lagos two weeks ago to say hello to this company I did my IT with in 2013 and fortunately for me I met the MD in the office with my former bozz and I greeted him even though he couldn't recognize me again. I left my former bozz cabin and I went to see him... I introduced myself and he said he couldn't recognize me... My former bozz told him I was posted to Ikoyi office to assist her then and that I was very active and hard working throughout my stay... The MD was just knodding his head like agama (Lolz) the next thing the MD said was I should submit my CV with a written application to his secretary at their head office at Marina.... I did the following week and that was the beginning of the whole thing.... Let me remind you that during my IT programme I wasn't paid... But I never allow that to weigh me down... I did my best to grab as many knowledge I could. Just last week I got a call from the MD to see him last Fri... I got there and he and one other man began the oral interview which I wasn't prepared for.... God took control of the interview session and he handed me over to the other man not knowing the man is also an MD of a big company... The man collected my number and that was all..... I didn't hear from him cos I was thinking even if something will happen, it would be in Jan cos every company is closing for the year... Monday was public holiday and by the early hour of Tuesday I got a message to report to Lekki office... I got there and the security guards were not nice... I was kept in the sun for several minutes before the MD arrived.... E pain me die. When the man arrived, I was led to his office and he said welcome to our company... He chose me because of the commendation he received from my Former MD that I am very hard working..... And that because of the experience I have gathered... He is placing me on a senior managerial post ... Na so I became oga over all other departments I met.... We had a meeting yesterday and I was asked to preside over it.... I introduced myself and I challenged other departments to give their best.... From then I resume office with immediate effect, not only that status changed to the point that the security guard that kept me in the sun started saluting me whenever I move around to inspect.... I was given a free accommodation and other benefits.... I am not saying this to puff up, I am just encouraging someone out there not to lose hope... God is on the throne.... Within the space of 4months that I left school, God landed me a job.... I declare and decree to NY readers that before the end of this year, your status will change for good. Gracia. [/quote amen o |

NinjaX: Now we are going off the topic of discourse to disputing the validity of the bible. I don't know much about the history of the christian religion, but I do know that other religions that share similarities with it well precedes it. And if something is gotten from another thing, then it's only logical to think that that thing is not authentic.
Lol. You are saying everything about the bible is factual just because the bible says it is? What a ridiculous statement.
For a book supposedly inspired by an intelligent, compassionate all-powerful entity, it's not just appalling but shocking that it contains and supports violents inhuman acts against other humans. All the manslaughter, raping, wars, ransacking and what have you
Sir, you are not being honest to yourself so I will leave you to your opinion. I believe my previous post did justice to all points you raised |

delishpot: Wrong assumption. Society just demands and enforces the lifestyle.
@TOPIC, why would NYSC call her husband? Do they also include family morality duties in the NYSC programme? Would they have called the wife/wives if the husband was caught sleeping with a woman he was not married to? They handled this thing badly in my opinion. If a man flirts, it is morally justified but for a woman, it is unethically accepted. Don't compare man with woman, they aren't the same. |

NinjaX: Most of the accounts of the bible are accepted by people in same measure as fictional books. They need not be certain that those events did happen. Faith takes good care of it.
But faith is useless to humanity, though not entirely useless. One needs a little bit of faith to carry on with the everyday activities of life.
Without faith, we can do nothing. Faith energizes us to pursue our goals, ends, or wants. But faith cannot work on its own.
Faith must go with action. But religion kind of suscribe to stand-alone faith in a twisted way. They say you must help yourself so that God will help you.
That you mustn't just sit idly after praying, you should try your hands at something and God will bless you through that engagement. But that's what humans have been doing ever since. Although in the case of men, it's known as hope, not prayers.
Hoping for something and working hard at it is likely to be successful. Wonder why pastors say you must go into action else fortunes won't fall from heaven? Think about it.
Whether you quickly perish the thoughts of wanting to engage in sexual intercourse with a woman immediately those thoughts arise, amount to nothing.
Merely harbouring those thoughts, even for a split second, is all that matters. Rebuking those bad thoughts will make room for more thoughts. And it will happen again. Thoughts can take any form. Any form. Thing is, it will keep happening. All through your journey in life. Just like when you inhale oxygen and exhale carbondioxide. It's a continual process. It terminates only at death. You see, the mysteries of this amazing word are interconnected, one way or the other. Somehow. Mankind is doomed. It breaks my heart to admit this, but truth must be told. That's the reality we face, even though our perceptions differ. Bible fictional book? How do you expect me to reason with your points when a well proven and divinely inspired source is disregarded by you. From all you have been saying, I have not seen any reference you quoted to support your message. Your words shows that you know more than those who wrote the bible. For your Info, we don't just believe the bible for faith sake as you have said but for a real time reality. All the events recorded in the Holy book happened, they are not just fiction. 2 Pet 1:20 says no message of the scripture came as a result of man's interpretation but by men who were moved by God. I disagree with your view of Christians about faith. I will repeat again, you gave this assertions based on your idiosyncrasy. Check James 2:14 to end speak about faith with work. How will you tell me that christans are thought on stand-alone faith. Whether you quickly perish the thoughts of wanting to engage in sexual intercourse with a woman immediately those thoughts arise, amount to nothing. to you it might not amount to something, but as for me it amount to something. Dwelling on the thought might lead you to sin and If it doesn't you aren't guilty. Merely harbouring those thoughts, even for a split second, is all that matters. Rebuking those bad thoughts will make room for more thoughts. And it will happen again. Thoughts can take any form. Any form. Thing is, it will keep happening. All through your journey in life. HungerBAD: Very sad.
It has become very common to see boys living in Benin, either doing something like this for themselves or their girlfriends. And still, Benin remains one of the least developed places in Nigeria, and their bad roads should be in the Guinness Books of Records, while their old houses makes Ibadan look like Dubai.
Exactly the same character they display outside Nigeria, especially with those living in Europe. Good Governance is not an individual thing, so to the guys bursting Champagne and pouring it on an empty ground, gather the money together and use it to repair the roads in your town or even use it to buy wrappers/Gold Earrings/Handbags for your moms, instead of just pouring it away on the ground.
Nobody who earns money legitimately, acts like this anyway.
And the funny thing is, they always crawl back to their fathers "Compound" where they have a room to themselves, after this show of wealth.
And usually on threads like this, you will see one smart guy or girl ask that question NA YOUR MONEY?or HOW IT TAKE CONCERN YOU? yes it concerns us as long as it has become something public.
We have a say in a public thing. You got brain. |
