I really pity beninoise,I wish FG sort out this border issue with them only .....I don't pity ghana
It is up to president Talon to do the needful, didn't you see how the Beninese were blaming him for being headstrong?
President of Niger had signed that no more reexporting of foreign rice into Nigeria so what's holding that idiotic Talon?

That of Ghana is worse, just in one region Kumasi, they're losing $3 million weekly since the closure, imagine when other regions are included.

I don't pity loud mouthed Ghana or Benin even if Ghanaian ministers almost turned Abuja into their new capital and begging everyone in sight, the only people I pity are the Nigeriens at least their president has repented.

Second, if u insist on getting into a convo with me, u can begin by addressing d issues I raised in my comment.

Third, have u "taken advantage of d opportunity buhari provided by going into rice, fish or poultry production or trading urself"?
You came in from the angle that his travels isn't helping the economy, fact, I was trying to tell you to forget his travels and focus on how you can take up the opportunity he has offered Nigerians

If importing things like rice will hurt economy, how is buharis constant "private visits" and medical trips to d UK helping d economy? How come his 80year old had his b'day in d UK instead of Nigeria? How come buhari & his family have a complete disdain 4 Nigeria & u think they are doing Nigerians a favour by blocking d access Nigerians have to alternatives?
Better go into rice, fish or poultry production or trading and stop killing yourself over nothing, you've been given the opportunity by same Buhari

In america 3% of the population feeds the entire country, what u dont understand is if every nigerian goes into agric business what benin n niger is experiencing now with the border closure wilk definitely be our issue too. In economics its called deflation. Much supply, less demand.
Where will u export it to?
So always think before u write.
Let's meet our demand first before thinking of exports, our price goes down and countries that can't produce enough will come for us.
Did you think those Asian countries that were sending rice to us can do that if they weren't able to have surpluses?

Local rice is available but just that it's production is another thing. Before you cook it, you have to pick all the stones and chaff as if it's beans that will take you like 2 hours plus. When eating also one will be vigilant. So if you want to cook it on Monday, start its planning on Friday. Overall, eating local rice will train Nigerians to be diligent, goal oriented, strategic planning, and caution. At least for once, all those likes on our skills we put on CV can find its pathetic to become the truth.
Lies, the local rice cooked in my house is parboiled, washed off and continue cooking as your foreign rice, nothing different.

If you even get to the markets and see the different brands of local rice and you decide to go for the stoned unmilled brand, the sellers would ask you if you know how to destone it.
That brand is usually for owners of canteens, bukas etc that have mastered the art and not for everyone. You don't go picking anything.

Wash to remove the husk and starchy dust, parboil, decant water and add cool water, shake your pot or container and you can even hear the sound of the stones at the bottom, scoop your rice and repeat for 2 or 3 times and your stone free rice is ready.

Most of you don't even know that you've been eating local rice even before the border closure especially if you visit those bukas and canteens regularly, you think the owners will go for foreign rice for 25k when he/she can get local for almost half the price and make more profit

You said the op lied. That's my point. That there's surplus rice in Anambra doesn't mean other state have too. So with the complaints here and there, how can the supply outnumber the demand? For how long ?
The author made it seem as if no local rice and I never said there's surplus local rice in Anambra, I only said that local rice isn't as scarce and uncommon as he was trying to paint it at least in Anambra. Only time before demand and supply meet, let's all be patient

go to the open markets and take pictures or you keep quiet. That's how you people keep promoting Audio Rice.

Inasmuch as I buy local rice, the high cost of it is outrageous. For how long will the price keep going high and not becoming affordable? That's my concern.
You can go and confirm yourself, you expect me to rush down and start snapping?
You buy local rice and you're still asking me to go snap pictures, I guess you usually travel to Mars to buy it.
The high price is because of demand and supply factor and with time, it would stabilize and start dropping.

What then is your advice to the Yoruba in the face of all this?

"Next time, this should serve as a lesson for them. In fact, it should serve as a lesson to Nigerians. The character of the people you are going to support should be a matter for thorough consideration before yourself and you people to the person."

It's either you did not read this or can't make deduction. Thank you and have a blissful day.
This is not in anyway spiting, he even said "it should serve as a lesson to Nigerians", is that not a word of advice and is it out of place to advice people?
Everything he was saying was centered on the VP and not the voting pattern, didn't you read where he appreciated the SW for voting Buhari for two terms?

Dear Yorubas, our brothers from that end are in severe pains at the moment. For the next one month, expect to see their insults and hatred ramped up, but do understand with them.

They will curse, bark, wail, and cry, but it wouldn't stop Lyon from drinking from the stream of their salty tears and us from dancing to the soft tones of their cries. cheesy
Don't mind those kids who didn't even understand what the man was trying to say, he wasn't lying neither did he say anything to spite anyone.
Buhari doesn't need any region's vote because he's not going for any reelection after his 2nd term, who doesn't know that?
Even if the legislators from the 19 states of the north decide to impeach him, they can't because they don't have a 2/3 majority, who doesn't know this for goodness sake?
Politics › Re: Buhari Doesn't Need Yoruba Anymore- Tanko Yakasai by Area4Area: 8:12am On Nov 17, 2019
Look at some already bringing out their drums to dance about the statement.

What the man was saying is that Buhari doesn't need the votes of the SW since he's not going for reelection and since the SW doesn't have a 2/3 majority in the house, they can't impeach him, are these two points lies or is it because it's coming from a northerner?
Is it that those already jubilating don't know these already or they felt that the statement was to spite the SW?

Ghana's economy grew by 6.7% in Q1 of 2019. Ghana's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the first quarter of 2019 grew by 6.7% compared to 5.4% recorded for the first quarter of 2018

Nigeria's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 2.01%(year-on-year), in real terms, in the first quarter of 2019. Compared to the first quarter of 2018, which recorded real GDP growth rate of 1.89%, the Q1 2019 growth rate represented an increase of 0.12% points.

From Ghana and Nigeria Stats boards respectively. Note that Nigeria's population growth rate far exceeds most countries in Africa, including Ghana.
For Q2 do your own research.

My point: the mockery is just plain silly. I am sure you know this- like many others here. But Nigerians have a way of distracting themselves from their real issues, using things like comedy and mockery. So continue.
