back in my first year in uni, was in a scripture union group and the message was. "pray like it all depends on praying and study like it all depends on studying" it worked well for a while until i forgot to pray at all and my performance was still thesame lol.

I think a poll will make it easier. I really dont see the point of having a special forum for a different faith. We might as well have atheist forum, and even amadioha for some ppl LOL

That thread is a christian thread and has been there for years, so my leaving your previous posts there in the first place was a show of accomodation of something that didnt belong, until you abused that accomodation with that last post. Odunnu is a christian and was posting as she always does in praise of her God. What exactly is your beef?

If you want to praise your god, you did the right thing, open a seperate thread and do so and no mod will disturb you.

While i agree in freedom of worship,I personally feel the administrator should NEVER have given in to the Muslims in the first place.Giving in to one threat/request was ultimately going to lead to more threats/requests and it goes on and on.Where will it end?

exactly! absolutely nothing. To show you the "male ruled" world we had when these religions started. you can count how many encounters with women or roles of a woman in the prominent Gospels of the new testament.

Even the Gospel of Thomas (that lost its place in the bible) quotes Jesus saying women must become men to enter the kingdom.

keep in mind that atheists "popped out" of the closet in the 18th -19th century. As we discover more about our universe and the way it works, we'll move away from the trend of using god as a simple explanation for the unknown.

Well, physicists and scientists can explain almost everything up until 10^6 of a second after the big bang. for me, that is good enough. I'll rather have half logic and room to improve on thinking than having someone tell me god put us here to "watch" over what he created. And we must give him praises.

A good way to look at the religious gods is to go back to their origin and see what was going on at that time. Kings ruling over people, people giving praises to the king to make him happy, king blessing his subjects with wealth and all that. For those who don't believe in the king will be put to death. Classic. You can see traces of crap like that in the bible. And that's where I should find answer to life hardest questions??

@OP.. well, In Nigeria and many other places (parts of Texas included) you may become an outcast or even stoned for expressing your disbelieve in their "all powerful" God that knows the beginning and end. That has planned everything from start to finish but still somehow wants you to pray and ask for things and "sow" seeds to get something he already planned for you?. makes no sense! did i mention he never changes too?

Sorry i got carried away there. what i'm trying to say is avoid engaging them in situations like those. I just sit and listen and might learn a thing or two why they think that way. Not worth it. hope they use there senses and ask crucial questions rather than blind belief. sad

funny thing is how they exclusively read one book and count other books as nonsense. I dont see you going through university constantly reading "Ali and Simbi" (although simbi is now a ho.. we all know that ).

My point is if you wana follow a faith, go through it completely and hopefully you will realise the delusion religion actually is.
