danaiks:. Give us details of life expectancy in those countries you quoted. In Nigeria, humility is seen as cluelessness. Brutes and super-crude agberos control politics. We the people are the problem. Our orientation allows such bad leaders to rise to power. |
ok |
kristina1:. Awwww.......you shouldn't be dear. He just wants you to be the best you can be. You can be sure he smiles within his heart when he sees you growing into a wonderful young lady. @OP, The "L" word did not exist in family Lexicon growing up. One cousin "stole" alcohol from Dad's gin bottle and was crying and saying "I luv u" to everyone. His first time drinking alcohol, he was like 17! That phrase got us very scared indeed. Hahahahaha ![]() I still use it to pull his leg till tomorrow. |
sedulus:. Can you please state cost of lease per year and other terms and conditions here succinctly, for the 5 hectares at Egbeta. Would thee owners to willing to sell the 5 hectares too n how much? |
Tundenoni:. Really? Which patch of the galaxy are you in? |
iyisco2001:. My dear, many fall in this category now. Their formula is: Amount of olosho = amount of money+ gifts + other benefits. |
It seems those people are still in 7th century. Can you imagine. Knowingly marrying a kid to known rapist. God forbid. If ordinary Yerima can achieve marrying babies in the NASS, Buhari as president can make raping a girl the new/easy way to marry her. Just rape that fyn girl that passes by your house every time and she's your wife. Olorun maje |
Mogidi:. Fear of Boko is the beginning of common sense, you know. ![]() |
Nice one Asisat |
In 9ja we have a very short memory. Maybe 0.0000001kb. ![]() The same Buhari that suspended the constitution and brought in retroactive decrees? Trampled on human rights and made lawyers look like veritabe imbeciles? The few brave ones sent to jail? Anyway, the recent democracy has given too much freedom. In 9ja we respect brutes and consider urbane and civilised people clueless. I think some people need koboko whips again like Buhari unleashed army on the public then. |
@OP, Sorry o, I'm not from Ala Igbo but these days no one lives in a vacuum. We have wives in the family, from various parts of Igbo land, including Imo. Generlisation is dangerous. Family background, one's attitude to life and social environment/circumstances play a role. The two Imo wives have been a blessing. One recently deceased. Everyone is genuinely devasted. Much loved. Look well & pray to God. You can find a good woman from anywhere. |
In 9ja anything goes. Na jungle. Due process, accountability, transparency, honesty and equality before the law, are frowned upon. Everything is politicised and tribalised. At this rate we will keep producing a tiny oppressive elite and some well-connected billionaires and multimillionaires. But proper development as a nation will keep eluding us. Oppressive societies eventually reach a breaking point. God help us. Because if that happens, even Cotonou and Togo will lock us out. |
The funny thing about this is that it's actually true. Not that guys are not aware most times. They know the game and just go with the flow. No free lunch in Freetown. A guy might be buoyant enough to give those little monies that would seem big to a pretty but poverty-stricken girl. Only when a guy is on 0-1-0 but credits a babe's account with 10k, that's crazy. |
daben1:. Abi o. If somebody is not good at swimming, he should at least be good at running. |
nice one |
macof:. What a question? You're asking what you already know. If they don't preach against these things, how are they gonna increase client numbers and tithes? |
OP, Do you have any farmland for sale or lease around Isihor (maybe far inside), Oluku, Ovbiogie, Ekiadolor, etc ? The 5 hectares for lease posted here, which community or locality exactly is it? |
okpamson15:. Old habits die hard and most people can't make that drastic change just to suit you. Just remember how often we say to advice-seekers here on NL things like: "but she/he was like that when you met and got married". |
okpamson15:. Like teaching an old dog new tricks? Marry a lady with the character you can cope with. Forever. The belief that you can change someone is an error the size of Olumo rock. You can only suppress her nature. Soon it will become resentment. Now, you really don't want that. Believe me. |
I think one important question is: Is beauty a recipe for success in marriage? If that was the case, all those Hollywood & Nollywood people won't be divorcing anyhow. Quite often, some pretty babes get along with beauty & may never polish the character side. They have always used "the cover" to see their book. Then later, the unpolished character surfaces after marriage. Soon that beauty pales in comparison. |
spanzed:. But you see, having been conditioned by people like GMB, many Nigerians now respect their tormentors. A law-abiding person like Jonathan is called weak. We're our own problem. Value yourself and others will value you. Make yourself cheap and a dictator will trample on you. We have a choice. |
henryugo:. Beware of nephew Dayo, omo jati jai, olori buruku. Buy this land out your own risk! ![]() |
femi4:. Because he's in a position of authority and power. He could have convinced the woman that God asked him/pastor to fvck salvation into her. ![]() We don hear all before. Yes, many gullible people (especially women) do believe. Have you not seen on youtube that pastor who commanded female church members to wear no pant to church? So they can receive blessing thru vj. Or the one that took all single church ladies to the beach, lined them up stark naked, asked them to be on all-four and kissed all their naked bottoms? Or the one who asked church members to eat grass on a pasture like cows? Dey there. |
remsonik:. It's more complex than that. I don't think you know more than all those men who patronise. Funny thing is lots of women who feel they are good in bed are not. Same with men. So a woman's darling hubby (yes, including hubbys of some NLers) may be red light regulars. I lived not far from red light zone as a young African student managing in Europe. I could not understand why men with Lamborghini & Ferrari would visit prostitutes. I later found out it is the lack of complication. Some won't even have sex. They just pay to hug and chat, etc. Many were rich men in unhappy marriages or going thru a messy divorce. My problem with prostitutes is that I can't swim in a river, where maybe 20 men have been already that day. |
OkikiOluwa1:. Hahahahahaha! Okiki, kiakiakiakia. Na only you waka come? Funny thing is there's unlimited data, I don't even pay for it. lol. And computers are many where I am. Moreover, the electrical system is well protected/earthed. ![]() |
OkikiOluwa1:. LOL, The thunder wey go fire you dey spend 24 hours 4 gym, on special muscle-building protein diet! ![]() What is wrong with terra cotta? Are you not proud of Osun terra cotta compared to all these vanity stuff? If you're not, I am. |
dominique:. Osun is culture state, so normal to have a rep like terra cotta head. ![]() |
Miss Edo, Ondo, Ogun, Enugu, then Lasgidi. KD next. That Ogun babe wasp waist no be here o. ![]() |
While there's vacancy at Tontoh-Rock, albeit a decayed one,and Seun can apply, same cannot be said of Aso Rock. GMB need not bother. Bovis daurensis cattle are many in Daura, that's a better bet. Mama Peace till 2027! ![]() |
