Manonamission: While we wait for gurus to comment, let me just add that there's a time for everything under the sun.
Seasons don't last forever. When the January bull came, some were so bullish that they thought it would last forever. Same with the present bear. It's interesting that some are already extrapolating this trend till next year.
Many events are going to occur that will affect the market in one way or the other. For example, budget approval is a key investment decision because it stalls projects.
To cut my long story short, the bull is still coming. When it does, some of you will be wondering what is driving it while some others will forget themselves as usual thinking it will last forever. At least with my over 10yrs of investing in on NSE, I have witnessed the bad, the urgly and also the best. Presently, by God grace I don't incures losses again. I gained in capital appreciation and in dividend. At present, some investors are sleeping when they ought to have sold their holdings after price appreciation and dividend. There will never be a major price gains again with the general elections in view what will be happening is short gains and looses so my advice is sell your holdings, invest in may be TB for like six months then come back again when prices would have gone down cos some foreign investors would dump shares to keep their capital ahead of general elections and this will affect the prices to depreciate enmass. So investors be wise! I bought ucap 240k units @2.80 got a dividend of 0.35kobo per unit and sold for 3.76 now the price is dancing between 3.29 and 3.40, if I want to buy back @3.29 with the same fund, would get additional 30k units so that is the way to go investing on NSE. Am putting my money in tb and this will give me about 600k wen go back to stock, with all the money at lower prices, then will mop more shares giving me more money. My fellow that the way to go |

Also read through the chat to get urself familiar with likely questions and answers. author=Nalinisingh post=62575086]Hello I have been stalking this page for years now. Please I need advice, am currently about 21 weeks pregnant and I want to have my baby in USA. I intend to travel with my mum and my 2 year. My husband will be sponsoring the trip. My question is should we all apply together or should we apply as a family first and have my mom apply later. What’s our chances if we all apply together. Thanks in my own opinion, she could apply with hubby and still be granted visa cos we have read about both on this forum. the best thing is to do deep research and adequate preparation and review the thread again and again, with God favour both will be given visa |

Reine22: And they’ll claim it’s God’s favour I beg to disagree with you ma/sir! you cant generalize the case with everybody, what is the percentage of people going and not willing to come back again to those who are willing to pay their bills and return back to Nigeria. If you can proof beyond reasonable doubt you can pay your bills and return back home and its not illegal then why not do it. In my case i have even paid the hospital bills and was willing to pay the dr bills and the rest and my wife was denied due to some error we made. Please mind, you i WILL NEVER SUPPORT ANYBODY WHO IS NOT WILLING TO PAY ALL HIS/HER BILLS because as an economist, there is no free meal is either you paid for it or some one is paying for you so NEVER will i support that but dont generalize. That is my take on that. |

kennyliza: Hello Adedoyin, I tap into your miracle ooooo. I am April 2018 due mum, I just got denied B2 visa in my interview today. The White make VO(cubicle 3) asked me; -why I am traveling-to give birth -why US and not any other cheaper country -,my work, -where I have been before- told him Dubai last year. - is my hubby traveling with me etc. After answering all this, I still got denied. However, the VO didn't bother to check any of my documents.
Please may I know whether it was a female or male VO that granted your visa. Want to know if female VO are more sympathetic than the VO?
quote author=Adedoyin2108 post=62288447]Hello Nairalanders
I must salute the great work you all do here. Just thought to post my visa interview experience. Interview was on Nov 1 in Lagos.
My husband and I applied for B2 medical n tourism
VO: What’s your relationship? Husband: We are married VO: What’s the purpose of the visit? Husband: To give birth VO: Is this your first child? Husband: Yes VO: What do you do? Where do you work? Where did you school? Husband: Bla bla VO: What do you do? Where do you work? What does your job entail? Where did you school? Me: Bla Bla VO: What’s your budget? How much do you have? Husband: About 24k, we have 16k (we had bank statements to prove it but he didn’t request for it) VO: Your visas have been approved. And he gave us two white documents. They didn’t ask to see any document. Favour all the way!
I’ll be in Houston last week of November. Using Dr Xydas and Houston Northwest Medical and staying at InTown Suites for now. Anyone with similar itinerary, let’s hook up. Thx This is taking another dimension oooo May God help us. Its God favour we need at this very point ooo |

Ramj: My people my people.
Its been said and cant be over-emphasized.
We have millions to spend but dont have time to study or research what we want to spend on. Lets all do the needful
Time is money - Selah!!! My candid advice is for us to DO MUCH RESEARCH ONLINE as we want to invest our hard earn money. Naturally, an average African does not like reading and that is why is u put $5k dollars into to a book and you put it in the room and now tell an average nigerian to go and look for that money in the room, dont be surprised that even if the book is put on the center table in the sitting room they will not check that book instead will be checking the bags, wardrobe, under the table etc. that is just our nature. please my people we can get whatever info we want on google please let devote time to research more and more, we should plan ahead so that we would not always be in a hurry. i did alot of findings online as regards where in the state to birth and have gotten feed back from the hospital/drs i mailed. To get money no easy ooo or e |

Long post alert. So my flight was for 10.30 pm and I left Ajah by 4 cos I heard traffic in Lagos was gangster that Wednesday. I spent over 4 hours on 3mb traffic. Apparently a truck had broken down somewhere. By this time I was already frantic that I wouldn't meet my flight. I checked in online and kept praying. 8.30 I just got to the end of 3mb and decided to take oshodi. Luckily for us the road was free. Got to the airport past 9. Check in was about to close. I quickly rushed to the line. There was no queue, my bag wasn't searched . I wasn't asked for fit to fly, neither was I asked to go to quarantine. I checked in and proceeded to board.
Used delta airlines. Flight was long but thankfully I was close to the restroom and had an aisle seat so I could go to the bathroom frequently.
Landed Atlanta and proceeded to customs. It seems ours was the only flight that landed that morning so the queue wasn't long.
It got to my turn and the con asked for my passport. I have it to her and she asked what I was here for. I said childbirth. Asked why us and I explained I had had 2 misccariages and this was my first child so I wanted the best healthcare. Then she said but healthcare is also good in Nigeria and that anything couldalso happen here and I replied yes we do have good healthcare but lack infrastructure in case of any complication and that my child gets to enjoy dual citizenship.
She asked how much I had on me told her 9800. Asked if I had more told her I did in my don acct in Nigeria totalling 14k usd cos at my interview I had stated my budget as 15k usd. Probably she don't hear me well she directed me to secondary inspection and wrote 14k usd on my custom form but stamped my passport.
Got to sec inspection. Waited 10 mins till I was called. Was asked how much I had on me. Told the con 9800 then he asked why the previous lady wrote 14k so I explained it was in my usd aget back home that I only had card. Asked the name of my doc who I'll be staying with if I had an appointment and when. I answered all questions.
No documents was asked for. My money wasn't even counted. Asked if I had food stuff. I said yes I had declared them on my custom form.
He told me to wheel my luggage to the scanner. I opened my box. I carried garri ,iru, dry fish pepersoup spice pepper crayfish and indomie chicken. Only my indomie was seized. I proceeded to join my connecting flight.
On getting to my destination I saw that my other box was broken open by tsa and I saw the card saying my luggage had been searched. Nothing was missing though.
So thankful for this forum.
I wasn't even asked why I changed destination from El Paso to Los Angeles. Wasn't asked for any documents also. So all in all I'll say it was smooth.
Wanted to specially thank @fygorgyn for assistance in getting docs and hospital details and everyone who has been helpful so far hello, congrat kindly give me the details of hospital/dr pm arem.Sam@gmail. com |
