You are the coward because the only documented coward in documented history of Nigeria remains your village rebel leader who led you to the battlefield but took of running off the battlefield like a sissy coward. 2. You are a coward because you then turn around to surrender to a Yoruba man aka OBJ after another Yoruba man aka Adekunle "Black Scorpion" beat the shitttt out of you... 3. You are a coward because you ran away from your own land to seek economic refuge in Yorubaland simply because you too cowardly and incompetent to stay and develop your towns and villages. 4. You are a coward because you at every slap you receive, all you do is make weak and idiotic threats and ultimatums that people laugh at and ignore because you are irrelevant. 5. You are a coward because you have zero strong, sane and sensible elders or leaders with relevance and influence in Nigeria hence you gyrating aimlessly all over Nigeriae that you are now even running after some gender bender loser based in london for relevance and direction like little zombies with no sense of worth and belonging. 6. You are a coward which you know now after the PDP clowns you ran after for 16 years at the end of the day dumped you for another Hausa presidency come 2019 which you can not do anything about but move on to another foolish endeavour which today is again the arrested gender bender loser without 1 single bullet based in london. Electrician recovers Gov. Akpabio’s missing dollars; gets N1m rewardThe missing dollars were actually removed by a driver, and concealed in an air conditioner. Bundles of mint-fresh dollars, valued at over $250,000 (about N40 million), which reportedly disappeared late last month from Governor Godswill Akpabio’s bedroom at the Akwa Ibom state governor’s lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, have been recovered intact. News website, SaharaReporters, had last month reported that the missing dollars, kept in drawers in the governor’s bedroom, were stolen while he was away dinning with President Goodluck Jonathan at the Aso Rock Villa a fortnight ago. But PREMIUM TIMES has now learnt that the missing money was recovered a week after it disappeared. It was found by an electrician invited to carry out minor repairs on one of the air conditioners inside the governor’s bedroom at the lodge. Mr. Akpabio, who is well known for his profligacy with state funds, had reportedly ordered the dismissal of three stewards working at the lodge, suspecting they stole the funds. However, unknown to the governor, the trio knew nothing about the missing money. The culprit, a senior Akwa Ibom officials close to the governor said, was actually one of the drivers attached to the office of the governor’s Special Representative in Abuja, who is the caretaker of the lodge. The driver reportedly sneaked into the governor’s room and removed the dollars from where they were kept. But because of the security around that section of the lodge, he cleverly tucked them inside the compartment of the air conditioner until a more convenient time he would be able to smuggle his fortune out. Officials, who spoke to PREMIUM TIMES, said a week after the money was declared missing, it was observed that one of the air conditioners in the governor’s bedroom malfunctioned. The driver plotting to steal money was, ironically, detailed to fetch an electrician to fix the failing AC ahead of the governor’s next visit. The electrician was called in as he had handled similar repairs in the past at the lodge. On their way to the lodge, according to officials, the driver confessed to the technician how he had left “something” valuable inside the air conditioner, and which he expected him to retrieve for him, promising a huge reward if he did so successfully. However, because of the extra security arrangement in place around the lodge following the incident, it was learnt that it proved difficult for the electrician to deliver on his promise, as one of the security operatives working at the lodge was promptly detailed to supervise the repairs. On opening the air conditioner for repairs, the electrician was reportedly surprised that true to the driver’s earlier hint, there was a carefully wrapped parcel inside the appliance, preventing the system from functioning normally. The electrician was said to have promptly alerted the security operative detailed to work with him about his find; and on opening the parcel, it was discovered that bundles of the missing money were actually inside. Afraid he might be held as suspect in the incident, the electrician reportedly confessed to the operative about the favour the driver had sought from him on their way to the lodge. The money was promptly handed over to the governor’s aide, who on breaking the good news to the governor, was ordered to give the electrician N1million cash as reward, while the dismissed stewards should be recalled immediately, although they were redeployed to other assignments. The fate of the driver remained unclear at the time of the report. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/141375-electrician-recovers-gov-akpabios-missing-dollars-gets-n1m-reward.htmlThis is how Akpabio furnicated with state funds. What was he doing with $250,000 cash laying around? Was this part of his salary? What about sponsoring tens of people to Dubai all expense paid just to attend and enjoy some wedding? What about buying and giving free luxury jeeps to celebrities? What about N50 million donation to nollywood? What about building and donating a church with state funds? What about $45 million jet he still flies around with state funds even after leaving office? What about the 4 bulletproof sprinter luxury Mercedes-Benz Vans from US based Texas Armoring Corporation (TAC)? It's one thing to say the funds were duly approved by his rubber stamp legislature, the question is exact;y what was done with the money? |
Politics › Re: EFCC Confronts Akpabio With Evidence Of Transactions by aresa: 1:37pm On Oct 18, 2015 |
Rotimi47: Akpabio, but i believe you received over over 20billion x 12months x 8years- which equal over 1 trillion from federal government & likewise billions were generated from internal generation. Just saying. For a very small state with just 5 million people, that's huge. But with all that morning and after 8 years in office, the people of akwa ibom still don't have a decent hospital . The man deceived them with an empty building with no staff or hospital equipment, even akpabio himself had to jet out to London for ordinary leg bandage. He also deceived them with a few roads in uyo and that's it. After that, he completed just 1 cinema, 1 library and 1 football field. Imagine with that kind of money, you can count on your fingers on one hand how many projects he completed in 8 years. The question now is, what happened to all that money.? |

Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, a former governor of a Nigerian state who gained notoriety for building extravagant public works and embezzling as much as $55 million in Oil Ministry revenue, spending it on luxuries and homes around the world, died on Saturday in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He was 62
His death, at a hospital, was announced by Bayelsa, the oil-rich Nigerian state that he governed from 1999 until he was impeached in 2005. The cause was given as complications of high blood pressure and diabetes.
Mr. Alamieyeseigha’s health problems resulted from his transfer from a hospital in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, to avoid being extradited to Britain, where he was wanted on money-laundering charges and for skipping bail, according to his successor, Gov. Seriake Dickson. He was also charged with money laundering by the United States.
Nonetheless, Mr. Dickson said Bayelsans “are proud of his life and the legacies he left behind.”
As governor, Mr. Alamieyeseigha (pronounced al-uh-mess-EE-ya) brought Nigeria’s notoriety as a source of global flimflam to a new nadir a decade ago.
Diepreye Alamieyeseigha amassed a fortune in foreign bank accounts and acquired houses in London, California and South Africa. Credit Pius Utomi Ekpei/Agence France-Presse — Getty Images Amassing a fortune in foreign bank accounts, he acquired houses in London, California and South Africa and an oil refinery in Ecuador, all while tapping public coffers to build an airport in his hometown and an Olympic-size stadium in the state capital, among other public projects.
The United States Justice Department won a forfeiture judgment against him in 2012 for money laundering and corruption.
Justice officials said he had accumulated millions of dollars’ worth of property and bank accounts around the world during his six years as governor, a period in which he was paid a total of $81,000 in salary and declared $248,000 in income from all sources.
After Mr. Alamieyeseigha was charged with money laundering in London in 2005, the police found that he had $3.2 million in cash and bank accounts and $15 million in real estate holdings there. Two months later he jumped bail — disguising himself as a woman by some accounts, although he denied that.
“Given that Alamieyeseigha had been accused of robbing blind his own people, it seems fair to assume that he would have tried to keep his return as low-key as possible,” Mark Hollingsworth and Von Kemedi wrote in the book “Against the Odds: President Goodluck Jonathan, the Rise of Nigeria as Africa’s Economic Superpower and the Threat of Boko Haram,” published this year. But they added, “Far from it.”
Addressing his cheering supporters back home, they wrote, Mr. Alamieyeseigha said: “ ‘I cannot tell you how I was brought here. It is a mystery. All the glory goes to God. Today I am back at my desk, forever committed to serve the people of Bayelsa and Nigeria. I thank the almighty God for his protection.’ ”
The state legislature impeached him in December 2005. While he insisted that the accusations of corruption were politically motivated, in 2007 he pleaded guilty to failing to declare his assets, and front companies he controlled were convicted of money laundering.
He was sentenced to two years in prison but, credited with time served, he was imprisoned for just one day. He was pardoned in 2013 by President Goodluck Jonathan, who had been his deputy and had succeeded him as governor. (Mr. Jonathan was defeated in a re-election bid in May.)
The United States Embassy said it was “deeply disappointed” by the pardon. It was granted in a country with a reputation for a kleptocratic culture, which has manifested itself in everything from government corruption to millions of emails sent worldwide by scam artists posing as Nigerian bankers seeking the help of unsuspecting people in transferring cash out of the country.
Diepreye Solomon Peter Alamieyeseigha was born on Nov. 16, 1952, in Amassoma, a town in the Niger Delta. He trained as a cadet in the Nigerian Defense Academy and joined the Air Force, serving until 1992.
After working as an executive for a fertilizer company, he was elected the first civilian governor of Bayelsa as a member of the People’s Democratic Party in 1999. He was re-elected four years later.
Nigeria’s new president, Muhammadu Buhari, has vowed to combat corruption and to rehabilitate the country’s image.
In its 2014 index of perceptions of 175 corrupt governments, with No. 1 being the least corrupt, the nongovernmental group Transparency International ranked Nigeria 136th.

1. Don't you first have to show us documented facts that all the crap you listed belongs to Asiwaju?
2. Even if the are his businesses, were they acquired when he was a public official?
3. As the former governor of Lagos state and his stature in Nigeria, he has zero problem acquiring tons of loans and or partnerships to buy or start any business in Nigeria.
4. Jonathan saw all the businesses you listed when he tried to put Asiwaju in jail by any means necessary by putting Asiwaju on trial for corruption so what happened? Jona and his law enforcement agencies missed them all and didn't see the businesses and all the money he stole, also where he kept the money?
5. Jona put Asiwaju on trial because he operated 16 bank accounts so what happened? They didn't see all the stolen money in all his bank accounts?

Gomeromo1: The integrity group in Port Harcourt have petitioned Amaechi. Has he been invited by the EFCC? SERAP in Lagos have also petitioned Fashola. Has he also been invited by the EFCC? It's one thing to petition, it's another thing to submit facts based and credible petition. For example, asking the EFCC to arrest or do anything to Fashola based on some website money was misplaced and misguided simply because spending too much money on something is a matter of opinion especially if it was the stated going rate on paper for such procurement or contract award according to the state agencies involved so exactly what's Fashola's business with that? Was the check written by Fashola or was the money traced to him or any member of his family? No. Did the petition opined that Fashola embezzled any money or enrich himself in anyway, shape of form? No So, exactly what are you demanding from the EFCC to do to Fashola? The petition should have demanded that the agencies and individuals involved be probed and even at that, the EFCC still can not do anything to these folks because they did nothing wrong since contracts were awarded based on documented legislated pricing and going rates per contract awards and the best they can do is to lobby the state legislature to scrutinize or adjust the rates and procurement system. The petitioners should have approached the state legislatures with their concerns instead of going after the governor with their flawed and ignorant claims since the legislature have oversight authority on the agencies and their officials. The website thing is nothing but a waste of time and effort, a gross politically misguided endeavour by ignorant and thoughtless people with nothing better to do with their time. I'm glad the EFCC is not wasting any time on their silly website noise.. |
