Qualification for Election

2. A person shall be qualified for election to the office of President or the National Assembly if:-

(a) he is a citizen of Nigeria;

(b) in the case of President, he has attained the age of 40 years;

(c) in the case of Senator, he has attained the age of 35 years;

(d) in the case of Member of House of Representatives, he has attained the age of 30 years;

(e) he has been educated up to at least the School Certificate level or its equivalent; and

(f) he is a Member of a Political Party and is being sponsored by that party.

Please see item (e). - Educated up to at least School Cert or its equivalent. Would you agree that graduation from NDA is at least equivalent to WASC. If NDA is not good enough, how about graduation from MONS Officer training in the UK. What about graduation from US War College. I'm sure we can all agree that they are at least equivalent to WASC.
U.S. ARMY WAR COLLEGE FELLOWSHIP @ UT

Since 1992, the U.S. Army has partnered with the University of Texas at Austin (UT) in a one-year resident Fellowship for Army officers.

Selected colonels and lieutenant colonels attend UT in lieu of the Army War College resident program at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania, and receive the award of Military Education Level One -- the highest level of formal military education.

Through access to the world-class educational assets of a top tier university, Fellows prepare to meet the demands of strategic-level thinking and senior leadership that will be required as they guide the Army into the future.
We are talking about the highest level of formal military education, the same education the finest military men in the world like former US presidents, Colin Powell and others received and these jokers are talking about school cert...

Talk about very shallow people......

Of recent there has been doubts about GMB attending the US war college, a plaque of his graduating set/colleagues has been in circulation today. People still doubt the authenticity of the plaque saying it was photoshoped. Well, to clear doubts of many, I went a step further, contacting the school.

The internet is accessible to everyone, doubting Thomas's can access the US war college site, contact the school and confirm if he GMB attended the school or not, the year of his graduation, you can probe further and ask questions; what degree or certificate was issued to him after graduation or what criterion was used for his admission.

Attached is mail I sent to the school, response I got, the time I sent it and the time I received a reply from the school.

The above link also provides photos from the US war college year book

The APC has also released a statement on his original certificates saying he lost them all during IBB's coup/raid which overthrew is government.

The Nigerian army has also said it has copies of GMB certificates, it's left for him to apply if he needs it. You can keep ranting with #buharishowusyourcertificate #buhariwhereisyourcertificate

I honestly wonder how people think one can rise through the ranks in the NA without a secondary school certificate
You should also wonder why a section of Nigerians are slow and unintelligent.

Even if God descends from heaven to show them his certificate, they either keep spewing the same rubbish or find some other nonsense to cry over... .

The fact is, this is not about certificate, this is just an extension of their age old anger, bitterness, pettiness, tribalism and bigotry.

Agukagu:
For your information I was already in the university during Buhari's brutal regime. I am therefore eminently qualified to give a sound assessment of GMB. Buhari was an iron fisted dictator that trampled on the rights of Nigerians. I am absolutely sure that he can not tolerate half of the insults meted to GEJ. Unfortunately many Nigerians sees brutality as strength but to me GMB was a weakling. The principal actor in his draconian government was brigadier Tunde Idiagbon. When IBB struck in 1985 coupe GMB was like a lame duck because Idiagbon was away to mecca on pilgrimage.

I am appalled that you do not know that the north leverages on quota system to the detriment of qualified Nigerians in virtually all federal establishments. Buhari joined the army when military is for school drop outs and never do wells. I will not be shocked if he does not have O'level certificate because even in my university days in the 80s some northern universities admit northerners with mock certificate on condition that they pass their GCE before graduating. Nigerian army those days are for blockheads especially the northerners who were admitted on quota basis. Please spare me the story GMBs intelligence because he doesn't have it. You live in USA, so you understand the level of intelligence in the military over there but that is not the case in Nigeria

On another hand I have a low opinion of anyone disparaging a PhD degree because I know the level of effort needed for a post graduate study. GMB because of his low literacy level will lack the capacity to understand economic indices and intricate diplomacies. Did you hear that he said he will stabilize oil price. You can not give what you do not have. Besides why should APC be fielding a senile candidate when there are vibrant people that can fit in the present dispensation. When I am in my 70s I will like to take the back stage while my son takes charge. Presently my parents look up to me for leadership. The change we yearn for is not in the past because the past can not be better than the future. You cannot look forward while still looking backward. GMB's past era is entirely a different setting and can not fit in democratic setting.
[/s]

Story Story Story.

This is 2015 and under your worthless and incompetent GEJ, Nigerians are widely divide, corruption is raging out of control thanks to your crooked and corrupt stealing is not corruption president, thousands of Nigerians have died, hundreds of thousands displaced, towns and villages destroyed, Nigeria is not territoriality complete because he lost almost an entire state to terrorists and there is institutional lawlessness from top to bottom...

going by your analysis, ok . Let's agree has all those high qualifications. But the basic question is that you must pass you common entrance before you gain admission into a secondary school. You must pass your WAEC, G C E or it's equivalent before you are admitted into a tertiary institution or enlisted in the millitary before you start flying high to the level Buhari claimed. If any of this link is missing that means you forged your result. Remember people pass GAMB without WEAC and find their way to university but one day the pharaoh that does not no Moses might come.
Where my wife work, the were asked to produce their WEAC result along with their degree certificate. Most people were fired because you can't get a degree cirtificate without having your WEAC certificate or it's equivalent.

Buhari show us you basic education certificate WAEC or It's equivalent.

I am sure you are not a lawyer and that is why you made the comment that there is no nexus between the concept of rule of law and the constitution. Every law student and lawyer knows this constitutional principle and I wont argue with u on it. I won't be making any headway explaining this intricate concept with u.

The more pressing issue I would respond is the issue of honesty and fulfilment of the Constitutional requirements. The position of the law is that the a candidate must be qualified educational to be President. And whose obligations is it to show that he is educational qualified? is it the Person vying for the post or INEC? surely, u know the answer.

and finally, u stated that INEC is not complaining. I agree with u on that part. whatever the reasons for INEC not demanding to see the copies of his educational certificates is beyond my knowledge but from the statement of the INEC spokesperson, the Commission would prefer the constitutional interpretation of the section by the Court so that the issue could be settled fully.

Thanks
It's still very laughable to opine that your own former head of state who moved from the bottom to the top based on education from military schools in your own country to the finest military schools abroad and on the surface of the earth with international and external exams is not educated.

Technology made his uncaring and cruel wife go on National TV to ridicule, berate and slam the kids parents while casting doubts that the girls were never kidnapped?
