Foreign AffairsPresident Obama Endorses Hilary Clinton As Dem. Nominee by arinzest(op): 7:10pm On Jun 09, 2016
(CNN)President Barack Obama endorsed presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in a web video Thursday.

"I don't think there's ever been someone so qualified to hold this office," Obama said in the video.

"I want those of you who have been with me since the beginning of this incredible journey to be the first to know that I'm with her," Obama continued. "I am fired up. And I can't wait to get out there and campaign with Hillary."
Clinton thanked Obama for his endorsement in a tweet posted to her account Thursday.
"Honored to have you with me, @POTUS. I'm fired up and ready to go!" she wrote, signing it with '-H' to indicate the tweet was from the former secretary of state personally.

Obama will campaign with Clinton next week in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
His endorsement made note of the historic nature of Clinton's being the first female presidential nominee of a major political party. Obama's endorsement of Clinton brings full circle a relationship that began when the two were rivals in the hard-fought 2008 Democratic nominating contest.
Obama tapped Clinton as his first-term secretary of state -- involving both in decisions like the U.S. raid to kill Osama bin Laden and the military intervention in Libya.
His endorsement signals an end to the Democratic primary battle between Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who has vowed to fight on through next week's Washington primary, but on Thursday didn't repeat his previous claims that he will fight on through the party's convention in Philadelphia in July

Deeply impressed by clear elucidation of facts. Destroying our main source of revenue can never be a solution. Revenue is down. States can't pay salaries. Most oil producers and mono economies are hanging on. Negotiation does not look palatable. The HAWKS only have to point out d funds expended on militant rehabilitation and d assurance that another group will emerge if NDA are 'settled' to win their argument

On the demands from d militants; some say they are attainable. Pls tell me, how can you demand clean up of Ogoniland while you unleash millions of litres of sweet crude? Were the oil blocks shared in May 2015? What are d procedures for revoking oil blocks? When Senator Enang bravely stood his ground on the issue of oil blocks, how many SS senators stood with him? Can't they mobilise n form an alliance with other regions like SW n SS to bring a bipartisan bill to change the status quo?

To all those cheering them on; this battle will be fought in your homes, your villages, your people will know war and be the collateral. You lands will be descreated. Internally displaced will move to towns, crime will soar, extended family ties will be strained.

Take her for a scan in a good radiology centre, borrow every kobo you can and do the scan. It can save you.

Get her to agree to the scan. The earlier the better. The later d scan, d more inaccurate d dating.

Several communities in South Africa are gearing up for a fight against some Nigerians whom they allege are selling narcotics that are destroying the lives of their youths.

Just last week, a Mahikeng community in the North-West sent a protest to the police to come to their aid, as they battle drug peddlers.

Earlier this month, a Nigerian man was killed there for allegedly being a drug lord.

In the Gauteng province, the story is the same, a community in Mogale City is gearing up for a fight with Nigerians there and they say it is all for the protection of their community.

Foreign AffairsTed Cruz, John Kasich Join Forces To Stop Donald Trump by arinzest(op): 10:10pm On Apr 25, 2016
The race for GOP nomination heats up as an 'unholy' alliance forms to stop Donald Trump

(CNN) — Ted Cruz and John Kasich are joining forces in a last-ditch effort to deny Donald Trump the Republican presidential nomination.

Within minutes of each other, the pair issued statements late Sunday saying they will divide their efforts in upcoming contests with Cruz focusing on Indiana and Kasich devoting his efforts to Oregon and New Mexico. The strategy -- something the two campaigns have been working on for weeks -- is aimed at blocking Trump from gaining the 1,237 delegates necessary to claim to GOP nomination this summer.

The extraordinary moves reflect the national strength Trump has shown and the inability of Republicans who oppose the New York billionaire to come together to stop him. Dividing up some of the remaining primary states by putting forward one strong alternative to Trump in each could be enough to take away delegates and curb Trump's run to the nomination.

"This is a nationwide campaign and we're making a decision where to focus our time, energy and resources," Cruz told conservative radio host Laura Ingraham on Monday. "We are now focused very, very heavily on the state of Indiana. It is significant that John Kasich is pulling out of Indiana and allowing us to go directly head to head with Donald Trump."

Kasich said Monday despite the agreement, he still wants Indiana voters to support him.

"They ought to vote for me," he said during a gaggle with reporters at a Philadelphia diner.

"I'm not campaigning in Indiana and he's not campaigning in these other states, that's all. It's not a big deal," Kasich said.
Trump is the only candidate who can realistically get a first-ballot victory -- there's no mathematical path for Cruz or Kasich to clinch the nomination heading into the convention. The billionaire is poised for a strong performance Tuesday, when Republicans in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island head to the polls.

RELATED: CNN delegate estimate

Cruz campaign manager Jeff Roe said in a statement the Texas senator will focus on the May 3 Indiana primary. He called Trump at top of the GOP ticket "a sure disaster."

He added: "To ensure that we nominate a Republican who can unify the Republican Party and win in November, our campaign will focus its time and resources in Indiana and in turn clear the path for Gov. Kasich to compete in Oregon and New Mexico."
Kasich's chief strategist, John Weaver, said in a separate statement: "Due to the fact that the Indiana primary is winner-take-all statewide and by congressional district, keeping Trump from winning a plurality in Indiana is critical to keeping him under 1,237 bound delegates before Cleveland. We are very comfortable with our delegate position in Indiana already, and given the current dynamics of the primary there, we will shift our campaign's resources West and give the Cruz campaign a clear path in Indiana."

READ: Resetting Red and Blue in the Rust Belt

Trump blasted the arrangement on Twitter.

"Wow, just announced that Lyin' Ted and Kasich are going to collude in order to keep me from getting the Republican nomination. DESPERATION!" Trump wrote Sunday night.

Trump social media director Dan Scavino also blasted the deal on Twitter. "Two losing politicians-mathematically eliminated from receiving the nomination-trying something NEW! They will FAIL!" he tweeted.

Talks started after Ohio

Kasich's camp has been working for weeks to get Cruz on board with a divide-and-conquer strategy against Trump.

Initial overtures started about a week after Kasich won the Ohio primary but were initially met with silence, according to a senior Kasich official. But talks -- primarily between Weaver and Roe -- started in earnest during the following weeks, as both campaigns saw a need to work something out, even before Trump's big win in the New York primary, the source said.

The two top strategists met to hash out the details during last week's Republican National Committee meeting in Hollywood, Florida, according to a source. In fact, even as Cruz publicly called Kasich a "spoiler" and the two campaigns were literally a few rooms apart holding private meetings to woo individual and state delegates, the advisers were negotiating their plan. The deal wasn't finalized until Sunday, when they hammered out the last of the specifics.

READ: Trump campaign holds organizing call with Pennsylvania delegate candidates

Sunday's move is what many in the GOP have urged on for a while -- a combined "Never Trump" strategy. Both campaigns have each sought to be the one that denies Trump a first-ballot win at the Republican convention. Each has offered their own rationales for why GOP delegates would then turn to them as the party standard-bearer.

But these strategies by Kasich and Cruz have fallen short as Trump has proved a nearly unstoppable force in the Republican primary season. Kasich has won only his home state of Ohio, more than a month ago, and is far back in the delegate chase

Cruz has remained a steady second behind Trump, but his victories have been sporadic. His initial strategy to sweep the South with heavy support for evangelical voters fell flat. Cruz has in recent contests focused more on the delegate game, picking off support in individual congressional districts even as he lost statewide in several places.

Republican Party braces ahead of critical 'Acela primary'

Campaigns in trouble

The two statements were the only public comments Sunday night from the campaigns, and notably only refer to three states -- Indiana, New Mexico and Oregon. California, with its treasure trove of delegates, Nebraska and West Virginia are among the states not included.

Weaver, in a tweet, indicated the campaign still plans to compete in other states besides Oregon and New Mexico, but declined to elaborate beyond the statement.

For Kasich, this arrangement also makes financial sense. The campaign finished March with only $1.2 million in the bank, and limiting its focus to two states in cooperation with Cruz is good cover to essentially shrink its footprint to a more manageable level. The cash Kasich expected after his Ohio victory never came. A big California donor presentation swing in California a few weeks ago was received positively, according to a senior official, but with limited big bundling commitments.

As Trump continues to lead, and especially following his romp in New York last week and expected victories in northeastern states this week, tensions have been mounting, especially for Cruz. According to CNN estimates, Cruz would have to win every available delegate to reach 1,237 on the first ballot, a virtual impossibility.

Cruz has consistently called for Kasich to move aside, touting the fact that only he and Trump have won multiple states and have a way to secure the delegates needed.

The pro-Cruz Trusted Leadership PAC has continued to hit Kasich. Friday, it announced it was planning to spend $1.6 million against Kasich in Indiana. The advertisement airing in Indiana features President Barack Obama praising the Ohio governor for expanding Medicaid, which is anathema to the GOP's conservative base. A version of the ad also aired before the New York primary.

"The primary has done the job it's supposed to do, it has narrowed the field. As we stand here today, there are two people with any plausible path whatsoever to the nomination, me and Donald Trump," Cruz said Sunday in Terre Haute, Indiana.

An audience member then shouted out, "John Kasich."

Cruz's response: "As I said, plausible path."

PoliticsSaudi Arabia Racing To Raise Tons Of Cash by arinzest(op): 9:57pm On Apr 25, 2016
Saudi Arabia is pulling out all the stops to raise cash and fill the hole in its budget created by cheap oil.

It's a huge reversal of fortunes for the Saudis. For years, the kingdom relied on hauling in gobs of oil money to support generous perks to citizens and the kingdom's massive military.

But all that oil money is quickly drying in a world where oil prices have plunged to $40 a barrel from $108 less than two years ago. Saudi oil revenue -- which makes up nearly three-quarters of its total -- plunged 23% last year. The Saudi budget deficit soared to $98 billion last year.

Now the Saudis are desperately trying to replace that oil money with methods that were unthinkable just years ago.

"Saudi Arabia is contending with major economic problems and financial pressure during this era of cheap oil," said Giorgio Cafiero, CEO of Gulf State Analytics

Saudis need a big loan: For the first time in 25 years, Saudi Arabia is in the market for a big foreign loan. The kingdom plans to raise $10 billion from a group of banks that include JPMorgan Chase (JPM) and HSBC (HSBC), according to the Financial Times.

The five-year loan could pave the way for the country to launch its first international bond sale. Last year the Saudis tapped the local bond market for the first time in eight years, raising at least $4 billion.

There is additional pressure on the Saudis given the failure last weekend to reach an agreement to "freeze" oil production at the big summit in Doha. Freezing production would have helped the global oil glut from worsening.

"With the Doha meeting ending in a bust, the pain is set to deepen for the vast majority of sovereign producers," Helima Croft, global head of commodity strategy at Royal Bank of Canada, wrote in a research report.

News of the Saudi loan comes just as President Obama is visiting Saudi Arabia amid rising tensions between the two countries. The Saudis recently threatened to sell off American assets if Congress passes a bill that would allow 9/11 victims to sue foreign governments.

Selling a piece of the crown jewel: Saudi Arabia is even willing to give up a slice of its crown jewel Saudi Aramco. The massive state-owned oil company produces 12% of the world's oil. Aramco is estimated to be worth trillions so even just a small stake sold through an IPO could raise a ton of cash.

Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman wants to list Aramco in Saudi Arabia, possibly as early as next year, in a bid to raise cash.

Related: Saudis to take control of largest U.S. refinery

Burning through cash: The vast treasure of cash amassed at the Saudi central bank during the boom years is fast dwindling. The Saudis burned through about $140 billion between the end of 2014 and February. The central bank is still sitting on $592 billion, but the IMF recently warned that even the Saudis could eventually run out of cash.

That's because the Saudi government, which supports a population of nearly 30 million, is still budgeting for far higher oil prices. The Saudi fiscal breakeven oil price is estimated at just over $100 a barrel, according to RBC. That's the second-highest among all OPEC nations, behind only Venezuela and Libya, two countries in deep turmoil.

By comparison, neighboring countries with far smaller populations like Qatar and Kuwait need oil prices in the $45 to $55 range, according to RBC.

"Saudi Arabia has the most at risk" compared with its Gulf peers, Croft wrote.

Related: Saudi Arabia faces 'economic bomb'

Painful spending cuts: Financial stress caused the Saudis to order a 14% spending cut for 2016. That included a 3.6% decline in military spending, a tough pill to swallow given the enormous security challenges in the Middle East.

The Saudis are also cutting back on some of the lavish government subsidies provided to citizens. That resulted in a 50% hike in gas prices and higher prices for water and electricity.

Croft said the Saudi government "increasingly stands alone" in its conviction that there won't be a public backlash to these austerity moves.

"Once the government starts rescinding benefits...the populace in turn may demand a greater say in how they are governed," she wrote.

Harriet Tubman will be face of the $20



Alexander Hamilton will stay on the front of the $10 bill, and Harriet Tubman will boot Andrew Jackson from the face of the $20.

After months of debate and controversy over how to incorporate a woman's portrait onto the $10 bill, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew announced plans to redesign the $10, $20 and $5 bill. All three denominations will have a female presence.

The updated bills will also be the first in U.S. history to include a tactile feature to aid the blind.

The $10 bill

The redesigned $10 bill is expected to enter circulation by 2020, in time for the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote. It will also mark the first time a woman's portrait has appeared on U.S. paper currency in more than a century.

A montage of women involved in the American suffrage movement -- Lucretia Mott, Sojourner Truth, Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Alice Paul -- will be on the back of the $10.

The ten was the bill that started it all. When Lew first announced his plan to put a woman on a U.S. banknote in June last year, the ten was the next bill that anti-counterfeit officials had slated for redesign so that its security features could be updated.

10 dollar bill 5 women
American suffrage movement leaders Lucretia Mott, Sojourner Truth, Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Alice Paul will be on the back of the $10.

The $20 bill

Lew also announced Wednesday that Andrew Jackson will move from the front of the $20 to the back, making way for Tubman. She'll become the first black woman ever to front a U.S. banknote.

Tubman, who died in 1913 at the age of 91, escaped slavery in the south and eventually led hundreds of escaped slaves to freedom as a "conductor" of the Underground Railroad. After the slaves were freed, Tubman was a staunch supporter of a woman's right to vote.

"What she did to free people on an individual basis and what she did afterward," Lew said. "That's a legacy of what an individual can do in a democracy."

The $5 bill

Lew said the $5 bill will keep Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president, on the front. The back of the bill will depict the Lincoln Memorial along with portraits of individuals involved in historic events that took place there.

That includes Marian Anderson and Eleanor Roosevelt. The African-American opera singer and former first lady held a concert at the memorial in 1939 in an effort to move the civil rights movement forward. Martin Luther King Jr. will be added the back of the bill. The Lincoln Memorial was the site of his famous "I Have a Dream" speech in 1963.

It's not clear when the $20 or $5 will enter circulation, though they're likely to be years behind the $10. Lew said Wednesday that he's instructed the Bureau of Engraving to "accelerate the process," but updating currency can take more than a decade.

The debate

Nearly a year ago, when Lew first announced his plans for redesigning the $10 bill, he said it would feature a woman alongside Hamilton.

He promised to spend time collecting public opinion, and it turned out that Americans had plenty to say about the matter. The question of which woman should receive this honor was hardly the only point of contention.

Some argued that a woman shouldn't have to share her bill with a man.

Others argued Hamilton shouldn't have to share top billing with anyone else. He was the nation's first treasury secretary, a key figure in the history of the American banking system, and Lew himself even called Hamilton a personal hero.

There has also been a chorus of voices calling to replace Andrew Jackson on the $20. His legacy includes the "Trail of Tears," in which he forcibly relocated Native Americans, leading to the death of thousands.

if she is obese, her weight gain shld be 6kg or less depending on her pre-pregnancy wt. Please she can TAKE ANY MILO she wants.

Vaginal delivery has a lot of factors. the baby (passenger), her hips (passage) and how strong d uterus contracts in labour (powers). i have sectioned babies less than 3 kg for cases of malposition, fetal distress or any other cause of abnormal labour.

Pls STOP PREGNARE CARE. its d biggest scam in ObGyn. a black woman needs 3.5-4grms of elemental iron supplementatn per day. We also use high dose folic acid (5mg) in our region to prevent malformations. A caucasian woman req 1.7mg of elemental irpn per day.

our body absorbs 10% of iron intake. if u take pregnare care, you will be getting 1.7mg of elemental iron and 400mcg of folic acid. this is INADEQUATE

your wife shld take her ferrous sulphate (red), folic acid (tiny yellow) and vitamin c. if she has a problem due to d many drugs n smell, use Ferrobin plus by fidson

it will give you 100mg of elemental iron ie 10mg delivered to your system, double d requirement. it also comes wt 5mg folic acid. That what most of us here recommend.
