Please I did my biometrics on the 6th of July with my 2kids.
I used priority for myself and standard for my kids.
I got a not straightforward mail on the 9th.

I got a mail for interview invite to hold 21st. Interview didn't hold and was rescheduled to 26th. (Lasted over 60mins)
I am yet to get a decision mail. I have also tracked application- Still @ DMC.

How long does it take for UKVI to take a decision after interview?

Am assuming it's not a personal account which will be a problem.

Personal account , they have him a loan of 3 million extra to add to his POF . So that’s why they made someone else a signatory . He’s about to submit his application tomorrow , but I want to confirm if it won’t be a problem or he should remove the person as co signatory to the account?

Pls my friend is using a POF where he made someone else a signatory to the account . But he’s the major account owner ( it is his name that shows on the account statement) . Will that be a problem?

Tier 4 visas are on the PBS. It should have nothing to do with your relationships. Technically, if you meet the points, you get your visa.

For someone who has a fiance ( a british National ) that lives in the UK , does it affect study visa ? We both have a physical relationship even if it’s LDR (not online ) . In a previous Uk visit visa , he was mentioned in the Cover letter so the UKVI knows about his existence . Will this affect the study visa ?

It does seem like the figures of the account were altered or errors in figures of the account . This is why they ask that you calculate your account statement yourself to make sure it tallies . Also if you use an agent , be careful that these people don’t falsify documents for you. It’s earned a lot of people bans because some of these agents want to use the Nigerian shortcut mentality thinking they can by pass the UKVI.

Secondly I'm being sponsored by my mother and she has enough funds to cover for both if us but it is in a fixed deposit account. Will that suffice for POF?

Thirdly I'm going to Ulster University Birmingham campus as I've been waiting for UCB to get back and I intend to pay deposit to Ulster this Friday, how's their pre CAS interview like and how long before they issue CAS.

I don’t think your mom can sponsor your wife . Better to have the money for the both of you transferred to your account. Only spouse or parents can sponsor as per POF

Essex but the CAS problem isn’t peculiar to just one school . Since it’s the Home Office that has an issue , it’s going to affect everyone .

School told us .. CAS is ready but no CAS number kos of the HO system .

If you haven’t received CAS , Home office system has a problem and that’s what they use to issue CAS numbers . CAS may have been ready from school but it remains the CAS number that must be issued from Home Office, though they said HO is working on it to fix it fast .

If you are unable to reach them , just fill her birth Cert number in the passport number space .. if her passport is ready before the test , you are allowed to change it . That’s what I did

Someone else can pay your tuition for you, but not from Nigeria through the Form A process.

What I know about the custody process comes from a situation where the parents got divorced and formal custody of the children was awarded as part of that process. However, to the best of my knowledge, if you and your child(ren)'s father were never married, then its a bit trickier as you will have to show that you have sole responsibility for the child(ren), which can be done through showing they live permanently at your address, you pay for their upkeep (even though she had a formal custody order my cousin sent in evidence of school fees payment from her account, got a letter from her HMO, things like that).

So the best I can say is to get the notarised consent letter and attach any paperwork of the above type that you have.

Did her children’s father have visitation rights ? I mean after she was granted custody ?

No but pls let the father give a consent letter that he’s okay with his child being born there and he’s allowing you have custody of the child . Whether the child has been born or not ,it’s expected that there is a dad and he’s to also give consent .

I did my biometrics on Friday June 18th June (priority) and got my visa within 4days. My dependents did their biometrics on Monday June 21 (standard) but application is still at DMC. Please has anyone experience delay in visa approval for dependent and how long did it take? I read most times dependent visa and primary applicant visa come at the same time.

Standard application has been taking time Because we are getting into the peak period so of course they are overwhelmed. I’m sure it will come through soon .

Ask your undergrad university to give you a letter of attestation. It will state the course , the year you graduated and also state that your certificate isn’t ready and under process and they should give you all the assistance they can pending the availability of your certificate. Hopefully this should work . I did this too kos my university made a mistake on my name so they had to take back the Cert .

Don’t mind them, absolutely not true . They have a birth certificate right ? And on their birth Cert , your passport name is the name on mother’s column right ? Get your marriage certificate and ask their dad to write a consent letter for them to get a passport from the office . Some men are misogynistic that they feel like the man must cover everything else it won’t work .

Tunde-Oni Patrick.

I am no more interested in John as a surname for my children because it is my great grand father name.
At the request of my father i attached Oni in their surname. Tunde is my name. It is now Tunde-Oni as surname. I still maintained John as surname. Their birth certificate bears Tunde-Oni. I have done their passports. I hope it won't be a problem. Thanks.

On their birth certificate, does it state your name as their father ? In that father's name column , does it state the name on your passport as father ? The name on your passport tallies with the name written as father’s name right ? If it does, legally, there is no problem .

To be on the safest side , a cover letter explaining all this would be better, but from the legal point of view , it won’t be a problem if the situation is as I have written above .

That’s what I would expect , to get it started. Divorce processes in Nigeria can be tedious . However, what she needs is a decree absolute. A Decree Nisi doesn’t end a marriage, it just shows that petitioner is entitled to divorce and court is satisfied because a Nisi can still be appealed within 3 months of issue . The Nisi is deemed absolute after 3 months if the judge won’t issue an absolute , they state It there.

I say this because I saw in a UK spouse visa group where a person was asked to provide their absolute after she submitted only the Nisi.
