There is something binding amosun and buhari. It's beyond politics at all. Despite what happened during the last election period, buhari still have to shunned other important engagements for this ogun visit. Remember he only sent osibanjo to imo state instead of him being on ground. Infact he should be in South Africa today at their president's inauguration but he sent osibanjo again to represent him. Amosun and buhari are too close to be separated by sentiments.
They have been together since the early ANPP days. Amosun had always believed in Buhari while some of the present APC members were fighting him.

How does this have anything to do with celebrating a HIV/aids free Nigeria ?

Does he think we have a cure for the disease now in Nigeria ? I am certain no one was planning on celebrating anything

Wait is he living in the real world ? The comment has no place with the function he went to inaugurate

The HIV/AIDS prevalence rate used to be 2.8% but the survey indicates a rate of 1.4% hence Mr President's comment.

With rigging also... Southern Kaduna gave about 45%
Kindly crosscheck the combined votes recorded by PDP in Southern Kaduna(chikum,Zangon Kataf,Sanga,Kaura,Jaba,Kajuru,Kachia,Jema'a, Kauru and Kagarko LGAs) was 464,911 representing 25% of the entire votes casted. El -Rufai took a calculated risk which eventually paid off for him but it was a tough one. The 349,257 votes for PDP from other parts of the state shows that PDP could have done better if they had a better candidate with the right capacity. PDP lost the election from their primary election as the ticket was sold to the highest bidder and not the person with the right capacity to challenge the incumbent. A lesson to all political parties in the future.

There is doubt thst the kwankwasiyya movement is very strong in the Kano metropolis LGAs but we have 44 LGAs in the state. Ganduje is stronger in the rural LGAs. The fact that PDP won in the metropolis doesn't mean that they are winning the election.

There seems to be a major shake-off in Kaduna and this has to affect the civil servants. In a memo which we obtained and circulated online, the state government has commenced the compulsory retirement of people who are 50yrs and above while others are to be converted to Casual Workers.

According to the memo dated 3rd January 2019 and signed by the Governor’s Principal Secretary, Salisu Suleiman, he directed that no Local Government should have more than 50 staff.

The memo said all categories of officers on Grade Level 01-06 are to be converted to Casual Engagement, officers on Grade Level 14 and above even if they are less than 50years old are to go on compulsory retirement while those over 50years are also to go on retirement.

See the memo letter below..

Retrenchment document in circulation is a forgery, says El-Rufai

The Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai has debunked a purported memo addressed to the Head of Service in his name as fake and forged document.

The Governor said it is a calculated mischief by the opposition meant for political gains ahead of Saturday governorship election.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Samuel Aruwan, the governor said:

“Our attention has been drawn to a document suggesting rationalization and conversation of civil servants to casual staff, by the Kaduna State Government. To set the record straight, the document in question is fake, forged and never emanated from the Governor.

“It emanated from the opposition who have no selling points instead outright resort to mundane and gutter politics ahead of Saturday election which they have certified failure.

“It is on this note, that we wish to disassociate the Governor and Government of Kaduna State from this criminally minded document by the drowning opposition.

“By this notice, we wish to inform our work force and citizens to disregard the entire contents of the fraudulent document. We also wish to alert members of the general public to be vigilant of this nefarious activity of a drowning political mongers .”

Politics / Re: Atiku Insists On Selling NNPC, Says ‘it Has Failed To Serve Its Purpose’ by Ark111: 6:59pm On Feb 20, 2019
Fellow countrymen and women prepare yourselves for fuel price increase when NNPC and the refineries were eventually sold to his friends. Don't say you were not warned. Atiku as for me, you will be Nigeria's president in your dreams.
ManirBK:
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday in Kaduna reiterated his plan to privatise the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC), if elected president on Feb 23.
Abubakar spoke at a town hall meeting with ward, local government and state party leaders in the state at the Kaduna Trade Fair Complex.

He said that the NNPC had failed to serve the purpose for which it was established in 1977.
According to him, selling-off the Corporation and all the three refineries is the best option for the country, likening it to the sale of Nigerian Telecommunication Limited (NITEL).

Abubakar said Nigeria is among the biggest producers of crude, but lamented that the country still imports refined products for local consumption at exorbitant prices to the detriment of the common man.
He said, if elected President, he would deregulate the NNPC and sell it to Nigerians. the way Obasanjo sold NITEL.
However, he forgot to mention that the sale of NITEL was disastrously done.
Under Obasanjo, NITEL went through several botched sales and management turnaround contracts. First, 51 per cent of the shares was sold to a group of investors under the trading name of Investors International London limited.
The sale was cancelled after the investors failed to pay. Then in 2003, , the government approved a management turnaround contract with a firm called Pentascope. The contract was cancelled in 2005 after it became clear Pentascope did not have the adequate resources to run NITEL.
In 2005, government again offered NITEL to Orascom. This failed again, leading the government to sell it to a subsidiary of Transcorp in 2007. The sale was revoked in 2009. In 2014, the firm was sold to NATCOM, a group of investors led by Tunde Ayeni. Ayeni since then has been running it as NTEL

Please check the website of the debt management office to confirm Nigeria's debt profile. This is brokendown into local and foreign debt including states debt profile.
Validated:
Osinbajo should stop confusing issues. The FG external debts should be separated from State Debts. A state like Lagos that have mounted billion of debts in Dollars was not under PDP.

The graph below shows who mounted what debts. It took PDP 16 years to wipe out Nigeria debts and only raised $10b. However, in just 3 years, APC doubled what took PDP 16 years

From the various comments made by nairalanders here, shows that the alot of the political crisis in this country are as a result of blind followership. Any objective reader will not come here and be accusing PMB or hailing Saraki.I pity our youths.
zakim:
The National Assembly Joint Committee on Electoral Matters on Monday rejected the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) proposed budget of N189 billion, urging the electoral body to revert to the initial N143 billion earlier submitted by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The lawmakers stated this after a closed-door meeting of the Joint Committee chaired by Senator Suleiman Nazif (APC, Bauchi).

Nazif, who read out the resolution of the Joint Committee to newsmen in Abuja, said, "As you are aware, our last meeting was held on August 17.

"We decided to resume today August 27, to consider the harmonised budget of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

"The Joint Committee has sat and we have deliberated a position to adopt the N143 billion earlier presented to us by President Muhammadu Buhari.

"It is the wish of this Committee that INEC present the N143 billion as requested by Mr. President.

"This Committee therefore adjourns and will reconvene tomorrow by 1 pm to consider the N143bn INEC budget."

Politics / Buhari Wants Defence Ministry To Produce Weapons by Ark111: 3:25pm On Aug 07, 2015
President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday directed the Ministry of Defence to produce a plan for the establishment of a military industrial complex for the local production of weapons for the use of the nation’s armed forces.

According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the President gave the directive at the graduation ceremony of the National Defence College, Abuja.

He said the location production of weapons was meant to end the current over-dependence on other countries for military equipment and logistics.

He said such a thing was not acceptable to his administration.

“We must evolve viable mechanisms for near-self-sufficiency in military equipment and logistics production complemented only by very advanced foreign technologies.

“The Ministry of Defence is being tasked to draw up clear and measurable outlines for development of a modest military industrial complex for Nigeria.

“In this regard, it is to liaise with other strategic MDAs and industries to re-engineer the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria to meet national military hardware and logistics requirements,” the President was quoted as saying.

Buhari was said to have also told the gathering that his administration had, since its assumption of office, reviewed the nature and character of Nigeria’s security threats and challenges.

“We recognised first and foremost, the external dimensions of these threats and the need for international cooperation and common security mechanisms to tackle them,” the President said.

Buhari added that in the light of this realisation, his administration was convinced that the best approach was to work within the framework of the Lake Chad Basin Commission to mobilise a collective regional effort in the fight against terrorism and insurgency.

He urged the graduates and officers and men of the Armed Forces to work harder to win the war against Boko Haram, terrorism and insurgency.

“We must apply a comprehensive strategy and coordinate all elements of national power against terrorism and insurgency; we must show result-oriented leadership at all levels of military Command; we must set up an optimal organisation to manage and sustain operational performance; and we must show confidence and winning mentality,” he added.

The President assured the people that the Federal Government under his leadership will strive to meet the operational, logistic, training and welfare requirements of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to ameliorating the hardships of people living in areas most affected by insurgency and terrorism.

“We have the will, resolve and conviction to apply a comprehensive strategy and coordinate all elements of national power against terrorism and insurgency,” the President reassured Nigerians and the international community.

Buhari said the National Defence College had fulfilled the vision of its founding fathers, by becoming a strategic human capacity-building institution, making credible contributions to Nigeria and other friendly countries.

The President urged graduates of the College’s Course 23 to resolve to make “a marked difference in your future deployments and contribute your quota to the evolution and implementation of national security, defence and military strategies.”

“You should be the source that lights up the environment wherever you find yourselves,” he told them. http://www.punchng.com/news/buhari-wants-defence-ministry-to-produce-weapons/

She has never given any financial help publicly that I know of, but all from the moon, she brings

This Greek gift is totally unacceptable, condemnable and not to be tolerated in our democracy. We should not encourage emergency donors who bring money during elections just to deceive the populace. She has her home state, where she could have made donations to, but she didn't, and went to faraway Adamawa to give.
