Maybe she asked not to be served grin
They don't joke with food as taking in something is part of the healing process they look out for.

CFCfan: True. I've never been admitted in an American hospital. When my eldest sister gave birth to her child last yr, I didn't recall seeing any formal menu.
Health › Re: Babymama In The Hospital Recovering by armyofone(m):
I guess you have not been to an hosp here....it is the same all over.
I like the fact that they will give you list to pick your breakfast, lunch and dinner grin ahead. Come see choice of food for sick person grin Eat good food and lick sundae ice cream finish and come shout pain o grin
Hosp cream of potatoes soup is nice. Even cream of mushroom.
If you are too sick to pick, they will still serve you. If you are too sick to eat, they will come pick up and trash it.

God bless America.

CFCfan: Lekwa O
I would have thought that was a restaurant menu. That hospital must be catering to only upper middle class folks

Leave the place completely. Tell her you have paid for two months in advance for her and that she can continue from there or go back home.
You both need a life of your own.

sheniqua: Close your eyes, line up the pictures of all your suitors,do tum bom tum bom and pick one
They are all the same
Like country music,if you hear one, you've heard them all
No need to fear at all
Unless you are looking to marry your fellow woman
If it is a man you want,I say just close eye and pick one and get on with it before you develop wrinkles thinking about the right or wrong one
Pick any one of them and mold him to your taste as time goes on wink

But orange will make him hungry. To me, he looks like someone who is highly starved waking up grin
Just look at his breakfast table, haha. I wonder how many eggs dey there.

EfemenaXY: ^^ Or better still, let him grill them to get the fat out of them.

Brown, wholemeal bread is good, but he should also consider having some orange juice, or better still, an orange fruit itself for breakfast. He can never go wrong with lots of fresh fruits in the mornings.
Food › Re: Bachelor's Breakfast. by armyofone(m): 12:17am On Jul 29, 2014
Hint Mr. Bachelor

Make sure your brown bread is whole grain (not multi grain)
Remove that baked bean
Get old fashion oat meal and cook yourself (5-10mins to cook but healthy)
Bread, peanut butter and milk are enough for your breakfast.
A bowl of Kellogg cereal is enough also
Add cucumbers to your breakfast and banana as snack.

Your sausage is shinning (don't ever fry sausage in oil) just put is in a pot with water and let it cook and dries up.

I think the secret my mom used was making sure it was chucked...sort of just open the fish in the middle, remove the mid and side bones that was it. We are left with eating with care...those tit bit bones are no fun but bonga is tasty fish. Really nice in ogbono and okra soup.
Do you know who does the smoking or if Bonga fish was imported like that from somewhere?

Chillisauce: Burning real life sausage? That one is suicide cheesy

As for the bonga, fish etc. How does she manage the fish bones. bonga fish is one fish I can never put in my soup. Tiny bones that will hook your throat and you forget the whole meal.

Family › Re: Man Guns Down Pregnant Burglar After She Told Him 'i'm Going To Have A Baby' by armyofone(m):
You are right, the old man was already stiffed with panic. They jumped on him and that frightened him.

He was afraid for his life... he doesn't trust her after attacking him (she may turn round and attack me, i better shoot).

I wonder if he had protection alarm in his house. People should set up alarm, it helps.

They took silly risk and unfortunately, she paid the price.
RIP

EnlightenedSoul: Burglars can't be trusted PERIOD. Many of them tell tales and appeal to your humanity so you could loose your guard, only to pull a gun on you NEXT MINUTE. It's a textbook tactic that most gun owners know about. They've also been known to double back to the house, and cause death or damage to avoid being reported etc.
These are people that surveyed a home, realized a "vulnerable" old man was living there, and planned to steal anything they could, possibly do away with his life while they were at it. It's terribly sad, but I don't blame the man. Absolutely not.
Let's lay the blame where it belongs: the accomplice, and an incredibly irresponsible and stewpid woman! It could have gone south for her in a 1001 different ways.

I really love your garden. I want one but time.
My goal is to plant scent leaf, Ugwu and Nigeria spinach.

Did you plant into the ground? Share your planting idea.

If you give me your plate, i will eat only the stew and meat grin. The only time i eat ewedu is when my mom once in blue moon used it for Ogbono.

SewaGRITS: Tonight's dinner for the hubby...he's growing ewedu (as well as tete, okra, and corn) in our backyard garden. Mumsy sent the seeds over for him. So here's me trying my best to make fresh ewedu, gbegiri (shelling the beans - - not fun for an OCD person like me; have to pick each and every single hull I find; needless to say it takes me forever which is why I love it when I find them already peeled), and chicken stew :-)

If done by ones personal choice, no problem...their choice/personal decision undecided

But when parents start lashing out painful marks on a kids' face/body cry, that's a big no no.

Ndipe: I bet you if this child scarification was practised in the west and endorsed, Nigerians will have followed through by now.
Do I support it? No. Now, let me ask, what about tatoos that are now adopted by some of our youths all because it's done by certain people in America?
