TV/MoviesRe: Only In Nigerian Movies Will You See These.. by Arosa(m): 6:36pm On Jan 20, 2013
There was this film I watched the other day. The wife called the husband at work and told him to come home urgently, because his brother had been kidnapped. The husband came home in a taxi, even though he had left for work in his own car. Moreover, he was dressed like a drag queen, including makeup. This was never explained, nor ever mentioned again in the film. huh

chinosxl: I think the actors just do what they are told to do. i will put the blame more on the Producers and directors.
True, I think Nigerian actors are some of the best in the world. Nobody plays sad, happy, angry or crazy better than Nollywood actors - and they are able to this without rehearsal. grin

abimart4ever: It's only d negative side of Nollywood y'all seeing. Anyway, I'm currently in a film location now and we'll try and correct those errors but you need to appreciate us the film makers because no be small thing oo. Let your criticism be a constructive one.
We do appreciate what you do - after all, we still watch these movies, don't we? The comments made here address more or less minor issues which could easily be fixed, and are in a way self-explanatory. What has not even been mentioned here are the major issues that need to be addressed in Nollywood - lack of a coherent PLOT, a script that makes sense, lack of directing, and poor editing.

When I grow up I would like to invest in Nollywood to revolutionise this industry - once I've made a couple million $$. grin

Only in Nollywood will someone be given small money (e.g. 200 Naira) and they will start dancing with joy and praying for that person.

Another popular scenario: someone travels to the village in a big car; his mother will call her neighbours, telling them that her son has arrived; and people will come up to the car and start romancing it.

Actually, this is what makes them so funny to watch. I like to watch them just to see how stoopid the production are. Same reason that I'm in this topic - for laughs.

Only in Nollywood will someone whose evil deeds have been exposed immediately go mad.

Another common thing: leaving the family pictures of the real house owners on the walls. It's always amusing to see children's pictures on the walls of a supposedly childless couple's home. grin

A quote from Eidowuo Arazaqi

Eidowuo Arazaqi

I don't support an ancestor simply because is popular, what interest me, doe is work profit black race, Islam of today is an Arabisied Islam and does not profit black race but profit present Arabs for their political mission in Africa, the Muslim of present Islamic Arabs is never same to prophet Mohamed Ideology of cal-iph-te, Arabs kill over 120 million blacks in the pass, the ideals of sherial of present Arabs Muslim then is to exterminate black race, they defend slavery in Islam as a means to defend their evil to black specs, they know that the real prophet Mohamed ideology is that of sufism in Timbuktu, that is why they destroy the Monsque, wicked people profit ignorant brothers fidelity to Arabisied Islam ideology to destroy black race,Islam and Christian are both anti existent of black specs, is only God that keep our existent up till now. i was born Muslim but today, i can never be a Mulism or Christian, i pray very well to God in the name of Eledumare, fools that their fellow human beings claimed their way is wrong, my ancestor know God before the Asian Arabs Muslim and European Christian.Go to hell stupidity mr ignorant.

A Timbuktu resident said:

We are now beginning to be free.

[All types of Islamists] were here, they brought chaos to Timbuktu.

We couldn't just go out if we wanted to.

They beat men, women, children. They cut people's hands. They killed people.

We were afraid.

We didn't have a choice.

They destroyed mausoleums, we were not happy about that.

But people are now able to go out.

People have freedom. People are happy. They can move about freely.

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Warplanes Head To Mali by Arosa(m): 2:48pm On Jan 17, 2013
Dede1: I wish all planes, civilian or military, Nigeria sent to Mali are destroyed by benevolent forces. If Mali rebels wish to truncate the 1884 partition of Africa by European powers, especially in Mali, I strongly believed Nigeria has no business siding with France to say otherwise.
You are a mad man and you know it.
