For some of us, it's Naija for life

Jokes EtcRe: Are Nigerians The Most Humorous People On Earth? by Arsenate(m): 3:32pm On Jan 29, 2013
Sisi_Kill: Rotflmao! Humorous??!!!

Nah. ....we have just perfected the fine art of sublimation as a defense mechanism against the hardship of everyday life in that country.

Sublimation can be done with humor or fantasy. Humor, when used as a defense mechanism, is the channeling of unacceptable impulses or thoughts into a light-hearted story or joke.

Humor reduces the intensity of a situation, and places a cushion of laughter between the person and the impulses.

Fantasy, when used as a defense mechanism, is the channeling of unacceptable or unattainable desires into imagination. For example, imagining one’s ultimate career goals can be helpful when one experiences temporary setbacks in academic achievement.

Both can help a person look at a situation in a different way, or focus on aspects of the situation not previously explored. (this is classic amongst those who think every bad thing that happens to them is a lead in to something really really great and those who believe the longer the distance and the grievous the journey to a particular place of worship the sooner they will receive a big blessing)

The E go better and it could have been worse phenomenon you find in many Nigerians also falls under this.

When people say the entire country needs psychiatric evaluation. ...they ain't lying.

Psychological Abuse is the worst sad
na wa ooo...see epistle.

CelebritiesRe: Beyoncé Buys $5.9 Million Mansion For Mother by Arsenate(m): 9:17am On Jan 28, 2013
Afam4eva: That does not take away the fact that he's still her father and he contributed a great deal to what she became...It's not just about beyoncee, i've noticed that people do this all the time. Chika Ike buys car for her mother. Genevieve buys house for her mother. Mike Ezuronye buys suya for his mother. What about their fathers.
mothers spend more time with their children than fathers and children erroneously think fathers care-less about them, which is not true. In most cases, the man is just out there hustling to make ends meet. Furthermore, women are in the habit of turning children against their fathers out of vengeance for whatever wrong the men might have done them.
SportsRe: South Africa, Angola, Morroco, Cape Verde - AFCON 2013 Group A by Arsenate(m):
Steezz: Guy chillax, negative words like dat wont do any help...afterall countries like China, India, Pakistan, Usa and Indonesia are very populous(more populated than Naija) and yet they are crap in football...lets stop all these negativity it doesn't do any good.
I think it makes them feel cool or something. Here on this thread u can see Ghanaians swarming all over insulting they Eagles as if their team played any better (against the malians their Goalkeeper deserved a red card and it would have been a different story). Instead of these unpatriotic dumbos to attack them, it makes them feel cooler if they attack the Eagles. They are just a bunch of coward, unpatriotic sellouts.

drexx: Seeing a debutant Cape Verde (estimated 500,000
population) cruising to the next round in the
ongoing 2013 AFCON baffles me. A country
parading herself as the giant of Africa with over
150million people can't even do us proud... We're
busy doing the final group game calculations. It's
usual in every competition Super Eagles gonna
play,,,Mstchew! Naija n Miracles, can't see
anything fascinating about that so-called Super
Eagles. They better get eliminated sef
oh STFU already, u ingrate. U talk as if the Super Eagles have been eliminated. They played 2 matches and drew both, largely due to dubious calls by the referees. Instead of u to rally round and support your team when they need u most, it's much easier for u to sit somewhere and criticise. Just look at the Algerian fans yesterday, they supported their team all through even when they knew they were heading home. That's what true fans do: support their teams through thick and thin. Supporting just in good times is called GLORY HUNTING. U are a terrible fan. U therefore have no right to criticise the Eagles.

if we draw and the Zambians draw, it will be goal scored that will decide.

eagle_eye007: What model is it. The problem is likely from your network selection mode. You might've set it to manual instead of automatic. Depending on your model, go to options > mobile network and set it correctly. If u still having issues, go to http://.com , u'l get solutions to all your device / gadget issues via step by step guides
the model is 9810. It has been on Automatic all the while. I'll visit the site u provided though. Thanks a lot.

PoliticsRe: Amanpour Calls Lagos The Third Most Unlivable City In The World by Arsenate(m): 10:21am On Jan 25, 2013
Not surprised at all...in fact the only surprise here is that there are 2 other cities that are worse than lagos (those places have to be hell). If u feel otherwise, then u are just among the very few that live places like Lekki, VI and the likes. A huge percentage of lagos residents do live in very very terrible conditions: they probably have the worst standard of living in the country.
The noise, the congestion, the traffic, the unnecessarily expensive rent, the rude agberos; just nothing pleasant about that place.
A very very terrible place Lagos is; by far the worst in the country, especially if u are a low to middle income earner. U can argue all day, all night it still won't change that fact.

Sagamite: You mean the same Ahmed Musa that has played 29 games and scored 9 goals this season vs Ideye Brown that has played 29 games and scored 18 goals this season?
well Musa needs to be in there somewhere (not necessarily for Brown). His pace will certainly come in handy and he'll definitely create space for others to do damage...
