Well, you are right. The Ezzas feed on crisis and war.

Whenever there’s land dispute between two ethnic groups, they would meet one side and promise to help them in the war in exchange for some portion of land to settle when the war is over.

I give it to them that they are great warriors.

But when the war is over, they settle and before hand they start to outnumber you and begin to demand leadership positions and all. If now try to question them, then your name is sorry.

How is that attitude different with what Fulanis did to Afonja in Kwara? Answer that sincerely and you see that me likening them to the Fulanis was a valid assertion.

Which of the dialect is the most difficult. I heard Ezza is... I know the Ngbo dialect... although I think they all sound the same.

I have heard people say, Ezza-mgbo, and Ezza with a combination of other groups..

Is it that Ezzas are found in everywhere in Ebonyi state? Where is their original home? or base Location.

The Effium people are Orring/Korring. They have two languages but I know one of them who will behead you if you say he is not Igbo.
How can there be a lasting peace in these communities? What can other Igbo communities do to resolve this issues... these clashes are always a point of shame for the bigger Igbo nation.

I pray that there is peace between Ezzas and these communities.

First, there’s no much difference between Izzi, Ezza, Ngbo/Mgbo and Ikwo. Legend has it they are four brothers of the same parents but Ezza is the eldest ( according to legend). There’s also need to note that Ezzamgbo is Ngbo/Mgbo land and has nothing to do with Ezza people.

About the dialects, there are some not-so-hardline differences between the dialects. But these differences might not easily be noticed by non Ebonyians. But natives know who is who when we speak. That is the four tribes have their unique dialects.

Where is really Ezza land? The only aboriginal land of Ezza people are Ezza North and Ezza South Local Governments. But because they give birth to many children and marry a lot of wives, their land couldn’t contain them anymore so they started moving to other people’s territories where they see empty space.

That’s how they moved to Ezillo.
Same way they moved to Effium.
Same way they also moved to Akpoga and Nkomoro nike in Enugu state.

In each of these places, when they come, they pose as harmless visitors and beg you to allow them settle. Once you let them settle, like the Fulanis, they would tell their brothers elsewhere of a new found settlement and they will troop in droves. When you who is their landlord now tries to question their population explosion, they turn around start waging war against you and claim they own the land with you.

Like the first statement you made on you comment about knowing an Ngbo person who is scared of Ezza people, that’s same is are the Izzi and Ikwo scared of them. Well not scared of them but we dread them. This is also true of other ethnic groups in Ebonyi.

To tell you how bad it is, while growing up as children, we are consistently warned of the dangers of Ezza people. To always keep them at arms length and never to give them an inch of our land. These words are not out of sheer hatred but the product of bad experiences that ours fathers have had with their fathers long before we were born. All those who have ignored these warnings have always regretted it. ALWAYS!!!

Like you said, you just have Ezza friends. And it’s pretty clear they haven’t stung you yet.

All I can tell you is be careful with those friends because they will one day show you who they are.

I've always known Effium people aren't Igbos or even indigenous to any part of Ebonyi state, they don't even speak an intelligible Igbo sub-lingua... they migrated somewhere from Cross river I believe, then settled among the indigenous Ezza people... now years later they are trying to claim the lands of these Ezza indigenes which has been the precursor to this endless crisis... Ezza people are among the most war-like Igbo clans you will see around, probably next to the Abriba and Ohafia people and these Ezza folks don't joke with their lands. Essentially, the prognosis to Effium-Ezza crisis is the land owners and true Igbo indigenes (Ezza) ferociously fighting against the land grabbing non-indigenous migrants from border communities in Cross river (Effium)... naturally I'll support my Ezza brothers to defend their ancestral lands against the usurpers as an Igbo man.

Ezza people are the ones always causing trouble.

They always go to another Man’s land and start to claim it. And that’s what brings conflict.

They are not indigenous to Ezillo but they migrated to the place and after some years they started laying claim to land of indigenous Ezillo people.

Same thing is playing out in Effium.

They are not indigenous to Effium either. But look at the conflict they’ve been causing there since early this year.

They come as visitors and after some years they want to dominate you in your own domain.

You forgot to mention Ezza in Ebonyi state. Cow wey near that place no dey come out alive. They even repelled funani attacks on many occasions but it never made it to the news
