Dec. 2010 - I met Pastor Kumuyi in Air France plane; Paris-Lagos. I still beat myself till date why I did not take a pic with him. He is an epitome of humility and carries that aura of peace around him. He bent forward a little as he replied to my greeting with 'How are you? God bless you'.

Met Donald Duke and Jerry Gana in domestic flights.

HOTWATER:
at times i wonder what kind of peopel Nigerians are . the only people in the world that wants enjoyment without sacrifice . How come the Plane left Abuja around 2:45 to lagos and somebody is here opening his wild mouth to say that the plane hovered around for One Hour in lagos and crashed around 3:45 . that means the Journey from Abuja to Lagos took less than one minute . It is very easy to blame the government for all our problems . what has happend during GEJ time that has not happened before . Since the coming of GEJ , this country has never witnessed Fuel scarcity , the popular ORE road has been fixed , Electricity has improved compared to what we use to have before inspite of the fact that KAMJI DAM is down . At least we all are hoping that if GEJ does not do well , we will vote him out . in the past we did not have such hopes as (S)election were concluded long before they are started . some airports are currently undergoing reconstruction . GEJ may have his peculiar problems , but remember he is a Nigerian politician and not an Angel sent from heaven . We all sit in our different homes comitting all manner of crimes ranging from , Short changing PHCN , Offering and taking bribes , cutting corners and expect miracle to happen . I know of a woman who could not allow a particular guy marry her daughter , but the boy left for abroad and came back after six months with so much money , the woman was spotted opening the gate for the same guy she refused six moths ago . Our value system is really messed up . and until this little things are corrected in our societies , we may not move forward as a nation . Our Leaders come from within us , Imagine what you have told that your uncle that served the Govt and came back with nothing, just because he refused to Loot the nation . Until we begin to take care of small things , they big ones will never get fixed . All i hear is complain without any suggestion of moving forward. Imagine what could have happend to this Nation if not because of GEJ calculated response to Aondoaka and co when Yar'dua was sick . A power drunk Politician would have thrown this nation into civil war . I leave you guys with Just one question . Who is the saint that will take over from GEJ ? long live Nigeria , Long Live GEJ

Very sensible post even while doing the hardest job on this forum - defending GEJ. Bros, the cronies like BEAF, LeoMax and their ilk will do well to learn from you.
Religion / Re: Stop It! No One Spoke In Unknown Tongues In The Bible! by Aryyor: 11:42am On Feb 23, 2012
cold:

The op is very right, today's Pentecostals  have completely lost the plot. What with all that yelling, gibberish talking, head banging, fist pumping, body quivering, rolling on the floor & feet stomping just to mention a few. What tha heck!Is your God deaf?Stop acting like prophets of Baal.

"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance , Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language." -Acts 2:4,6

I am totally bewildered at the ignorance of Pentecostals today concerning this issue of speaking in tongues.  There is clear Scriptural evidence condemning the mumbo-jumbo, nonsense, which Charismatics call "speaking in tongues" today.  First, on the Day of Pentecost Peter spoke in Greek, no other language.  The Bible says that the people from other nations HEARD (Acts 2:6-cool in their own native tongue (i.e., language).  What they actually experienced that day was HEARING IN TONGUES.  Peter never spoke any language other than the Greek he normally spoke.  It is IMPOSSIBLE to reconcile the demonic jibber-jabber of Pentecostals today with the miracle of tongues in the Bible.  Acts 2:9-11 mentions sixteen different nations which were present on the Day of Pentecost.  Acts 2:8 plainly states that each man HEARD the Gospel in his own native tongue in which he was born.  How does this compare with the Charismatic speaking in tongues today that makes NO SENSE TO ANYONE

I'm bewildered also, first at your ignorance of the Word of God and secondly; that even if you didn't know before, you have not learnt anything from what people have posted so far, even quoting the scripture. If you want to be a wise christian, do yourself a favour and go back to the Bible; specifically 1 Cor. 14. Unless, of course, if you wish to stand in the seat of scoffers and pleasure yourself in following the crowd and the ignorant in condemning the truth of God's Word.

Gadols:

I place curse over your life. You shall see misery and confusion from now on. You will eat the bread of sorrow and your miserable brain will emit darkness on your life. I mean it and so shall it be. I invoke the curse of deut 28 to be your potion. Favour shall be far away from you. I declare it so in Jesus Name Amen.

Gadols:

The curse stays except if God is not on His throne.
Nimshi is cursed and shall remain so. I mean it.
I will print his post and take it to the altar next sunday
and lets see if he will escape.
Nimshi will never know peace

Hmmm,  Is that what your Bible teaches you to do? Na wah for these zealots sef. Who are you following, man or the Lord? What are you actually defending? the Gospel or your corrupted ego? You people posting 'curses' all over the place, can you tell me that your life is straight? What you have posted here gives a serious indication of hearts that is filled with bitterness, pride and hatred. And what manner of spirit was in you when you wrote those 'curses' of yours - the Holy Spirit or a vengeful and bitter spirit? Have you not read what the Lord told the disciples when they wanted to call fire to destroy some people who resisted the ministry of Jesus:

Read below:
Luk 9:51  And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,
Luk 9:52  And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
Luk 9:53  And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.
Luk 9:54  And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?
Luk 9:55  But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
Luk 9:56  For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

This is what the Gospel is for. To save men! The Gospel is about the truth and not sentiments. Is it too hard for you to follow the word of God that you should bless and curse not? (Rom 12:14  Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not).

And you Nimshi, why are you allowing Satan to fill your heart with evil thoughts and foolish imaginations? This post is to ridicule a man of God isn't it? Are you that idle and jobless? I advise you to repent and ask God to forgive you and that you also recant this post. There are so many meaningful topics to post, not this!
Politics / Re: Jonathan And Sambo To Buy 2 Bullet Proof Cars @ 280 Million Naira!. by Aryyor: 9:21am On Dec 22, 2011
If that's how much it costs to get the best of such vehicle for the President's safety, I think there is nothing wrong with that. We cannot estimate the damage that awaits the country should presidency's security be breached. Many of you here spend fortunes buying the latest gadgets and cars while some of your own blood relative is in want of some basic stuff!

I think the main issue here is that our President, in the little time of his government, has not proved to be a prudent manager of the scarce national resource.
First, we hear the unprecedented depletion of our foreign reserves (we are yet to see where all that has been spent on). Then his $7k or so 'transport fare' envelope he attempted to give SNG. What of the bloated figures on fuel subsidy? So many instances of profligacy and clueless wastage. Then recently, N993 million for feeding. Haba!
Tell me, how can we believe that this man is serious about making transformational changes. A man who has not sacrificed a thing to alleviate our sufferings yet will want to take away the little relief we've got. Somebody posted a link of Tam David's West on Buhari and I weep for my country. Can't our president take a cue from good and sacrificial leadership we've had in the past?

May God give us the right leader. If Mr. Jonathan has been distracted and become insensitive to the plight of the common man, may God wake him up to right thinking and the right judgement. If he refuses, his demise is closer than he can imagine. God knows how to remove leaders who forget the pain of the poor.

ekpey:

Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord. Never believe its one year already.

^^^ Bawomolo declared he was an atheist and would probably give you a 'lol' if you wished him that while he was here with us.

BTW, he was a very intelligent young man. He commented on some controversial issues yet he argued brilliantly; neither rude, insultive nor proud. He was indeed a gentleman.

Now that he's dead, what if he came to find out that there is indeed God. God, whom he brilliantly argued and reasoned out of his life,
I wonder where Bawomolo is now. Is he in hell? Is he in heaven? Or is he nowhere; in a state of nothingness? I really wonder,

O God help our president to wake up to his duty and give him the wisdom and boldness to rise up to this challenge.

Proverbs 7:21-27 KJV

With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.

He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.

Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.

Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.

Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

Oga Femmy2010, please help me with this enquiry: Because of time constraint, it looks like the fastest way for me to get a car is Cotonou - as in, waiting for 2 months or more to get a pre-ordered car will not work for me at this time. I was actually skeptical about Cotonou as per the quality of the vehicle I can get to buy there. Please advise me:
- What is the BIG difference in getting a car from Cotonou and pre-ordering from US, quality wise? Pics of pre-order cars seem to look cleaner than their counterparts from Cotonou .
- How can I trust the car you could bring is not a lemon? Do you do a VIN check, etc (at least some basic crucial checks) for the vehicles you bring in from Cotonou as it is done for Pre-ordered vehicles?
Your track experience, of course, is written all over NL but I just want some doubts cleared. Thanks.

If you are in PHC, Lagos, Abuja, Calabar, Aba or Kano, make enquiries about MTN HyConnect which is DSL internet connection - it's very reliable and far better and less expensive than VSAT. MTN is also rolling our HyNet - WiMAX Internet services in Warri, Lagos, Ilorin. These services are pretty reliable and cost effective.
