Pls what was the initial level

The first test was 7.1, 8.8, as time goes on it rose up to 12.1, we did phototherapy and it came down to 9.1, we were discharged. We came back after 3 days then she was like 12 days old and we repeated the test it was 11.1 and they told me not to worry that the jaundice is at the defensive stage now and asked me if i was not discharged home with drug I said no and they prescribed Zinnat for me. We started the Zinnat last week Tuesday and by Friday it came down to 4.7
Although my baby is preterm Sha, term babies have their own value. The woman with me that had term baby was discharged with SB of 10.

Baby after the phototherapy, it came down to 4.7 after 3 days of taking it.

Please put me in your prayers, I started leaking water this afternoon and went to the hospital, after scan they said my water is reduced and they will carry out elective CS for me and afterwards put my baby in the incubator. Am just 31 weeks today

I went to another hospital(Fmc) they said I will be on bedrest till 34 weeks before I will put to bed. Please has anyone experience this?

If you can pack your baby's bag now, beautiful, cos you will be amazed at how tired you'd get when you decide to wait till around that time. Don't be the mommy that will be rushing to pack amidst labour pain, my mom is a culprit of that .

I saw a hot water flask in the market "mega", heard its super dope.
Don't forget to pray, pray, pray. Even all the medical instruments that will be used on you, pray for them.

Please those that haven't updated their EDD and sex should do so, so I can add it.

Now this explains why you not always hungry na. Baby is busy sucking his fingers so not disturbing you for food. Just joking ooo, Babycenter app said at this stage, scan can catch your baby sucking his finger and also swallowing amionic fluid as they try to practice how to suck bobby when they are born (abi you no dey wonder how some baby suck brweest like a pro from birth? Na from belle dem learn am o,) so i don't think you should be worried.

On a lighter mood, if baby 1 came out sucking his lips and baby 2 eventually come out sucking his fingers, that means them take after their mama ooo [s]she must be a pro in sucking something [/s] Which one you dey suck But what do I know sef, lemme come and be going

My beautiful princess arrived on the 21st at 3:07am weighing 8 pounds.
Shortly after i posted about my fear and frustration of hitting the 40 weeks mark yet no labour sign, my contractions started hours after at about say 3pm that same day . I noticed bloody discharge more like spotting so i rushed to wear my disposable pant/pad, showered and cleaned up and packed my bag for essentials and toiletries. Thereafter i laid on the bed and started timing, when it was about 8 minutes apart i headed for the hospital because the hospital is about an hour away. Got to the hospital and was checked,dilation was measured as 4cm as at around 7:30pm. I was admitted and sent to labour and delivery unit, at about 9pm or so i was checked again and still measured 4cm all this while with unbearable contraction pains. At about past 10pm I begged to be checked again but progress was little just btw 4 and 5cm. I requested for epidural which is the greatest regret of my life, my spine was poked at severally and at one point i felt a shocking sensation my right side despite maintaining the arch position and still enduring contractions. I let out a scream and told the anaestician i was no longer interested, he then paged for his other colleague who i guess was his superior she came in and calmed me down and took over and in just one attempt she got it right. i immediately requested the nurse in the room with me that i only want doctors attending to me because the dilation checks and all were by midwives as i had seen no doctor at all.

I dont know if it's the epidural or not but baby became distressed as her heart rate started dropping a team of doctors about 5 rushed into the room broke my water immediately and saw meconium in the water. Dilation was checked again yet no progress and baby was becoming more and more distressed.

At about 3am of the 21st , eventually the head doctor convinced me to get a CS done asap instead of induction cos induction would further cos baby's heart rate to decline with more intense contractions. That she prefers to hand me over a healthy baby than a lifeless one. Theatre was prepared immediately and i was wheeled into the theatre for surgery, another anestesia was administered to numb my lower part and baby was brought out.
She didnt cry at first but after alll they did she let out a cry and she was rushed to NICU for further checks and treatment, they sucked out the contents in her stomach and all she swallowed and monitored her in the nursery for hours.
In all i thank God it ended in praise even though it wasn't as i expected however i have a healthy beautiful calm girl to call my own and that's all that maters.

Its your choice afterall, but note that palmwwine has alcohol which will get to your baby through the placenta. Stage of preganacy and alcohol history( if you drink alcohol on a regular) are factors to consider.


Then the quantity you take and at what interval matters too.

My advice wait till your baby is out if you need it to boost bm ( as many claim it does for them)plus other little benefits which you can get from safer sources.


But!! If it's a nagging crave that won't let you sleep at night... Just dip your finger into it and lick and tell it get thee behind me.



Note when it comes to alcoholic drinks I'm not the best to give a good advice cos I'm a ...

She is lucky. My husband almost killed me with bitter leaves in soup and that was I started cooking my food. He will even say bitter leaves cure malaria, yet I have been treating malaria almost every month.
I don't wish to be in a condition that someone else will cook for me.

A good flask is supposed to be able to close well, making it airtight. U should return it. Dragon flask is the best in the market now and not so pricey.

Maam's abeg help me put mouth, what normally makes someone body shake sometimes if you don't eat on time during pregnancy. I don't always feel hungry but after eating the shaking will stop. Did anyone experience the same?

Mama let me share my experience with you, last week Tuesday I woke up not feeling hungry at all, I managed to take very little pap with nothing, in the afternoon I wasn't hungry and I was feeling less concerned about it and going about my normal chores. All of a sudden I started feeling hot and stared sweating, I went to the bathroom took some cold shower and came out but I was still sweating profusely, thank God hubby was around and he said he doesnt understand this type of sweat. He went and put the generator for me and directed the standing fan to me and advised me to lie down, I couldn't even stay up to a minute I got up and started walking about the whole house cos I was so restless and I didn't know what was happening to me. He started asking me what's the problem and I told him am hungry and I want to eat eba, how the young man managed to defrost the soup so quick and make eba before 5 minutes I dont know but before he finished making the eba I saw myself almost finishing 350 naira bread with two cups of milk and one small bottle water. Immediately he brought the eba I jumped on it and within 2 minutes I finished a whole plate of eba, he was just standing looking at me, I washed my hands thereafter and slept till God knows when. My dear since then I don't let myself go hungry again instead I snack in between meals.
