some people prefer the starters, them the chop start? remember everyone can start something, not all have the ability to finish it, which counts more.. |
some people just carry ever matter personal, as such they can't really see things objectively.... U think the National Assembly did justice to that bill and the president is just refusing to give assent? now for those of you who don't spend time gathering facts, let me give u a small example. section63(4) of the 2015 Act provides that " a presiding officer should count and ANNOUNCE the result at polling units" after elections are conducted... now the amended version of this section provides that the Returning officer Count the votes cast at the polling unit. while announcing is no longer included in the amended copy. so it means any figure they give, u take. sometimes there is more to a matter than what d eyes see. most people rush to condem this man even when he is doing the right thing because of personal feelings. Those men @ d National Assembly are out for themselves if u don't know... the 2015 Act stipulated that the Maximum amount for campaign for the president should be 1Billion The new bill puts it at 5Billion, for a Governor it was 250Million, it was raised to 1Billion. Now when the president signed the Not Too Young To Rule Bill people and youth where like its now time for us to take matters into our hands, Now tell me how can a youth who has nothing compete with politicians who already has an absy of funds stashed for election. Even common Councilorship at the Local Government Level it's no longer 150,000 but 750,000.... it pays to look at things base on their merits... |
Some of you just comment without knowing the facts... I am sure none of you have read d draft of the amended electoral act, if u did u wouldn't be asking the president to sign it, at least not the way d amendment is. |
I have one question for those mocking that man. Who amongst you can claim to be better than him? Is he not a human being nd a Nigerian, entitled to vote nd be voted for? At least he is bold enough to come out and contest, while d rest of you exhibit cowardice on social media. I pitty some ppl. |
When Fools speak.... Everything is political. They keep ignoring the real Questions. Did Innoson forge documents or not? Is GTB guilty of over charging Mr Innoson? I just pitty some Nigerians who leave men like Reno to do their thinking for them |
My name is Frank Benue State Benue State University |
When Sanusi drew the worlds attention to the unremitted billions of dollars during GEJ tenure who was fired? Sanusi. What happened to Madueke? Nothing. Someone would sit in the comfort of his home and write rubbish because he knows people without common sense will agree. PMB to sack the minister on what grounds? |
Atiku for president.. what a joke. Nigerians never learn anything, especially when elections are near. Thieves become saints. I don't hate Atiku, but he has no substance, he is an unstable fellow. Someone should please count nd tell how many political parties he has moved to since 2007. I will not even cast a Stone for this man, talk more of my Vote. |
Looking for votes, ask GEJ, 90% of their votes wouldn't lead u anywhere. For me, der is nothing to credit to kanu, I don't see where he clamored for restructuring. |
Follow kanu at ur own peril... Even if Biafra is ever going to be achieved, kanu wouldn't be the leader of the struggle nd IPOB would nt be d umbrella body. I IPOB members referring to him as "Moses of our time", but truth must be told, der is absolutely no similarity. My pitty is mainly with the youths that follow him up nd down, spend the little they have to move from state to state, nd subscription fees, trek all day and keep shouting in d Sun, all for nothing,. Some people are really blind, wait that is too good. Some people really have eyes but can't see, that's better |
Simple and clear to understand, I wish we all could just for once stop and think objectively. But it's quite unfortunate that some people already have their minds made up by some folks, that they themselves can't for once make decisions for themselves. |
Fools really exists in this world, real fools. What is genocide? I don't remember IPOB being a race, nor a tribe, nor an ethnic group. Fools... |
Someone just said igbo is seeking independence from Nigeria, question is are they a colony? No. The article up there is nice, its totally unforeseeable that Biafra will come anytime soon,. It's better IPOD sheath their swords and swallow their pride, come back to the table, their agitation can be understood, nd rightfully so, but what they are asking of is totally impossible. So I see no reason wasting time on a futile mission |
Standing5:Can u pick up the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and show the entire world where referendum is allowed for any secession? People are picking the wrong opponent, face ur senators and demand that a call for referendum be included in the constitution. Then ur call will hv a legal backing and the president, whether Buhari or not, who swore to uphold the constitution will have no choice but to grant it to u. But until such a time comes, no one will give referendum to u, not even an igbo president. And there is absolutely nothing anyone, USA, UN, Britain, Russia, or any other powerful country as some people call them can do about it. |
I hope this recall is successful, it will be a big lesson. To say the fact I see Bello's hand in this whole thing, but the truth is Dino is better off at home than in the hallowed chambers for Kogi people. |
Those calling Buhari are just trying to pin the whole thing on him. The reason the military is in the SE is because of the threat to the sovereignty of the nation, nt because of attacks on the muslim community there, if at all such ever happened. The agitation has been blown out of proportion and the police unfortunately can't do anything about it, even a station was burnt down. While I don't like d way d military has handled things down der, again I can't say IPOB are in anyway peaceful, at least nt all of them. The army I am sure are provoked into shooting, so don't provoke them. Their presence in d SE doesn't mean people there can't conduct their normal businesses. So guys chill. We all got one life, don't waste urs for nothing. |
Who spends time reading what this guy has to write these days? |
I could remember very well that Boko Haram controlled a good number of Local Government in Adamawa and Borno State, we could hear of bomb blast even in Abuja, Independence day celebration comes to mind. All these has greatly reduced, people are settling back in dis areas. Even if u kill shekau today, they are dozens of people lining up to take over. I am nt trying to say killing him is a bad idea, until his assets have been dismantled, killing him will be of no help. That is a military strategy. The US knew exactly where Osama was, as early, 2001: I remember the den president Bush saying they are targeting d middle men nd weak cells in the group because they are harder to replace, when this was done, Obama had a free shot at Osama. The powers of al-Qaida is now less than what it was, in fact they even depend on ISIS to conduct attacks. |
If I can remember well, the Niger Delta militants also issued a quit notice, y is there no call for their arrest. I think it should be both ways. |
navyseal2220:It's seems the only language some people understand is "separation" everything is always separation, what type of thing is dis... Pls before anyone start calling me Afonja, u should knw dat I am a Tiv person frm Benue... With a wheelbarrow Governor. |
Well sagay's words r harsh, in a nut shell, d area father feels she should answer for her sins, dat in it self is commendable. But the truth remains that its in the best interest of Nigeria as a country that she should face trial in the UK we all know how our justice system is here. They is no fair trial in Nigeria, especially when extremely rich people such as Deizain are involved. And at least it will save us the tribal war, nd d bias allegations of trial judges. |
PDP can't be claiming saint hood, not this fast, every decay in this democracy is on their shoulders. Nonsense, who are they trying to deceive? Well as for me I will not, be easily carried away, APC may hv fallen short of expectations, but the truth is Buhari has tried his best nd its far better than what I hv witness over d years. |
So na today e start? Nonsense, I used 5 naira to buy biscuits in 2009, I couldn't use d same when hero jona was done. U guys think inflation is a one year stuff. Tell me, when was d last time some of u ever used naira coins? Inflation is not just a phenomena dat springs up any day, a fertile ground was made by GEJ as far as I am concerned. No kudos to Buhari either. U are using GDP to blind illiterate, well I am not one of them. Oil has never been d largest component of our GDP in 2014 it was 9% and as of 2016 it stood at 8.3%, but the irony here is that oil has been d major source of revenue to the government. GDP has numerous component, d highest contributor been service industry, den we hv agriculture nd constriction, none which rakes in what oil does. Rather the service industry takes more from the coffers of the country, this is because of the unproductive nature of the Civil service, both state nd federal. What GEJ would hv compared was d amount of money oil brought in during his regime, nt GDP. U can fool all d people most of the time, but u can't fool all d people all the time. Pls before anyone starts insulting me, he or she should pick an economies text book nd read of GDP or go through d records on d National Bureau of Statistics site. |
[quote author=navyseal2220 post=59836579]By their response you shall know them....you can never reason with them...never[/quot I am a Tiv man from Benue State, every person that does nt share ur opinion is an Afonja.. haha some people need serious help |
Who prevented GEJ from constructing a rail road to his place? Or is Daura not part of Nigeria? Are they supposed to be cut off because they have the president? Were we not all here in Nigeria when Goodluck was busy awarding pipe line vigilant contracts worth billions to his own people, militants for that matter? All utilities in this country should be centred in Lagos nd oil producing States, no rural development. People like Reno makes me believe that Nigeria is lost. |
He can't stand d sight of some governors who are delivering in their states. He is constantly intimidated by people who are above him, dats y he tries to drag them down to his level at each given opportunity. He makes d whole thing personal, and that is never a good thing, it clouds ur judgement. There are times when political differences are supposed to take a back seat, nd national interest takes precedence. |
What's even special about the FEC meeting that it can't be cancelled? Trying to turn a butterfly to a bird wouldn't work. I am sure some of the attendees are just observers der. We should be worried about real issues nt imaginary ones. |
What's d big deal here? That people turned out to welcome kanu more than Buhari, so we should do what? Start calling him a god as some do? Or ascribe some kind of hero status to him? |
Human beings are in deed impossible to satisfy, most especially Nigerians. The president is away, they ask y he is away for such a long period, he comes back, they ask what he can do or change. For me I think it's a nice thing for him to be alive, we all need to support our leaders, nd pray for them, that's d only way God can intervene nd make sure they lead us well. |
victor8269:U r irritating, nd stupid, saying such a thing is a testament dat u didn't hv a proper up bringing, I will nt point accusing fingers at ur parents because I know neither of them, bt from ur words I knw u, clearly u hv refused to learn. Well having said dat I am nt even bothered abt what u said. Before u sleep today, take some few minutes nd think of how miserable ur life has been thus far. |
I smell something fishy about this so called witness. I was thinking it would be a live shouting. Anyone can do dis. As for me, I wouldn't just jump into conclusion, d pictures can be from an unrelated event entirely |
Hahaha, make I laugh, well I see no saint in politics. Having said that, at times we have to make a choice btw a bad choice and no choice at all. And at the moment PDP isn't a choice as far as I am concerned. See people gunning for the presidency, Fayose, I pray he get the ticket, then he would realize he is nothing outside Ekiti state. |
