Whynotthetruth: Kindly note this...
The truth is that work has commenced on the Second Niger Bridge and is progressing. The project, which is divided into three phases, will bypass Onitsha and Asaba to connect the Owerri-Onitsha Expressway at Nkwerre Ezunaka, and then cross Atani to the Asaba-Benin Expressway at Okpanam with a total length of 44 kilometres.
With the above...I believe the possibility of the 44km...And the author can't write this knowing fully BPE, Mins of Works, & except Julius Berger are all under buhari now...hence can easily be verified...
Those towns mentioned are very long distance part plzzz... something does not sound right here though..nkwelle ezunaka is oyi local govt..owerri Onitsha express does not cut through there unless they are talking about Onitsha Enugu express |

obailala: In the 60's, innocent Igbos were dragged out into the streets and murdered in mass numbers in different parts of the country; the aftermath of that led Ojukwu to call for a secession.
45 years after the war, a probably drunk ex-olokpa says Igbos would drown in the lagoon if they dont vote his candidate in lagos and someone thinks this empty statement from one man is a sensible justifications for secession and the imminent breakdown of law and order?... I think this is an insult to the memories of those who died in the war and also an insult to the sensibilities of reasonable Igbos. I am actually against nnamdi kanu and his rhetoric as I dont listen to him broadcast anymore but I just wanted to treat that Oba issue in isolation |

obailala: From what you have just written, it is very clear you have been brainwashed and now lack the ability to reason objectively. I would try to address the misconceptions you have raised but I am very sure your brain would not still assimilate my explanations.
Not only Igbos were killed, even amongst the Corpers who died, there were several Yorubas and people of other tribes. Only a mischievous and paranoid mind would interpret that as an attack against Igbos in other to justify the imminent breakdown of law and order which IPOB youths are brewing. I dont expect you to assimilate this though.
A drunk retired policeman claims Igbos would drown in the lagoon (probably spiritually) if they don't vote his choice in an election, and you flare up claiming it is an attack on Igbos which warrants Igbos running away to a new country. Is that how petty you are?... the empty words of one man, is that what you want to compare with the massacre Igbos suffered in the 60's to warrant the recent call for war?
Fashola also deported destitute Yorubas to Oyo and all the other south-west states. In like manner, Peter Obi and even Amaechi and Akpabio's governments were also involved in some cases of deporting destitute people. Once again, I still cannot understand why some mischievously paranoid minds have interpreted fashola's action as a YORUBA ATTACK AGAINST IGBOS.
Northerners have always been blood thirsty vampires especially under the guise of their religion. That your mind has also interpreted this as a direct attack specifically against Igbos, this is beyond my comprehension.
Now a group of misguided jobless youths are on the streets in the SE hatching plans to unleash havoc all in the name of secession and some comfortable thoughtless people like yourself are behind their computers urging our youths to go kill themselves by fighting with the police. May i remind you that this is exactly how bokoharam started. I disagree on that Oba own..it was not as 'harmless' as you want to portray it.it I just that the sw are laid back because not much difference btw what akiolu said and what kind of Zulu said that triggered of the crises in sa |

Nollywood City underway in Imo
From George Onyejiuwa, Owerri
The Micro Small, Medium Enterprises (MSME) Business School, Okuku, Owerri in Imo State, has initiated a massive project akin to America’s famous Hollywood town, designed for accelerated development of performing arts in the country.
The proposed Nollywood village, located at Okuku in Owerri West Council Area, is a 100,000 square meters expanse of land, with a viable palm plantation, is an integrated scheme with the entire property mapped out in plots and now on sale to the general public to build residential houses, commercial developments, hostels, tourist gardens, epic movie locations and other facilities for the film industry and educational purposes.
Announcing this to newsmen yesterday, in Owerri, the initiator of the project, Ndukwe O. Ndukwe, a lawyer, said critical in the planned infrastructure development in the area, is the construction of an international film studio, an African village square setting, art gallery, artificial lake and fish pond to attract tourists and film enthusiasts. He pointed out that a small portion of the property, which is known as the Nollywood City and Palm Resort, Owerri, would serve as the permanent site of the MSME Business School.
He said: “We believe it is time to forge a concerted and structured development template. “As conceived, we plan to commence our academic programmes with the Faculty of Performing Arts, with a variety of disciplines like Theatre, Make-up Artistry, Directing, Cinematography, Dance, Music and the likes, by opening the window for entrepreneurs to key into the Nollywood phenomenon.” how come I have never heard about these people or project before?already on sale? |

Who sigh..the north you are talking about still has the highest negative cases of hdi in the whole Nigeria..but if you are so passionate about how to get igbo presidency it is simply by bringing a candidate the other ethnicities are ready to vote for and align with them or not even if the guy has question marks about his competence and integrity |

Abagworo: If we must tell ourselves the truth, a lot has happened within the past 3 months in terms of investment in Imo State. We are not in a position to verify just like in other ones quoted in every other State. "Potential" investment in the State has gone past 10billion Dollar mark. I used potential because none has been completed. Shoprite will soon open store in their 500million Dollar investment. Lots of solid retail outlets have moved to Imo and we all know of the 3.5 billion gas plant as well as the largest bottling company in Okigwe. God bless Imo and let the investments keep pouring.
To me, I view these investments pouring in as evidence of good 1st tenure. Agbacha oso agua mile. funny how you skipped the the part is Said I thought you said that market was not viable..well until the investment are completed |

Its no use yabbing me cos I won't change the situation or solve the problem. You don't have to agree with me just to let u know from my own opinion that. Once this problem is solved within us, there will be at least a head way then may be in the next 12 yrs we may come up with a president finally. I am not the one who complained guy you did and I simply faulted the eg you gave simple..if you want an Igboman to be president then that man is who other ethnicities would want to vote in or are comfortable with irrespective of what the Igbo nation might feel about the man..if all igbomen decide to vote one man and others don't it will still not get the igboman president since that I your utmost concern here....by the way if you know the socio-cultural make up of the Igbo society right from time immemorial and behavioural pattern you would know why on the average Igbo people dont really have a herd mentality..there are advantages and disadvantages...this is one of the disadvantages |

Abagworo: http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/papda-takes-up-over-2000-shops-at-mgbidi-international-market/219035/
The Phones and Allied Product Dealers Association (PAPDA), Computer Village Business People in Ikeja, Lagos, have purchased a total of 2500 shops at the Heartland Gateway International Market under construction in Mgbidi, Imo State. The signing of the purchase agreement was done recently at the office of M.I. Okoro & Associates, the marketing firm to the project, in Ikoyi, Lagos State. Present at the signing were the President, Phones & Allied Products Dealers Association (PAPDA), Chief Godfrey Iyke Nwosu; the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Graceland Channels Ltd, the developers, Pastor Nat Omoruyi; Special Assistant to the Governor of Imo State and Liaison Officer in Lagos, Mr. Alfred O. Ononugbo; and the Principal Consultant M.I. Okoro & Associates, Dr. M.I. Okoro; President, Imo State Town Union, Lagos, Pastor Okey Anorue; Lawyers, among others. By this, the Computer Village Business People, Ikeja, have shown interest in the re-energizing of Imo state economic activities in Eastern Nigeria. The re-energizing of Imo state economic activities is to be achieved through the development of 10,000 lock up shops, warehouses, housing estates and other facilities. Mr. Ononugbo, who represented Governor Rochas Okorocha advised the business people to have “an integrity-driven market. If our people buy a product for N30,000 then give them a product that is worth N30,000.”ties in Igbo land.”
On completion, the International Market will be the biggest, most modern type of market in Nigeria and Africa. This International Market is expected to play host to over two million people doing business in the market city. This teaming population coming from all parts of Nigeria and the world would demand for land for various developmental projects like- housing estates, Warehousing complexes, Hotels, Industrial and allied activities, schools and colleges and any other activities that may require the use of land.
The increase in the demand for land purchase is expected to increase the value of land in the area. He said Governor Anayo Rochas Okorocha earmarked about 200hectres of land to Graceland Channels Ltd for the development of over three thousand housing units for both residential and commercial occupations in Mgbidi and immediate environment.
The land supply will help accommodate the expected teaming population as a preliminary measure to tackle the demand for housing, and also to complement the Heartland Gateway International Market. In a bid to open up the Eastern region of Nigeria for effective economic emancipation and to position it to compete with the world economically, Okorocha launched the development of an Industrial Park with some foreign partnership.
The foreign partnership with the Imo State Government is expected to cost over five billion US Dollars and is already sited at Egbema, Imo state. The Industrial Park shares immediate neighbourhood with the Heartland Gateway International Market and Rivers State of Nigeria.
“This will aid the ease of movement of goods via the Imo, Port Harcourt and Asaba Airports plus the Governor’s intention to also open up water ways for the transportation of goods and materials via the Port Harcourt Seaport. “The choice of Graceland Channels Ltd for the development of the market City at Mgbidi is an evidence of Imo State government’s pursuit for excellence, because this construction firm has developed a lot of Estates in the past that competes with International standard.” thought you said that market was not good . I guess those computer village guys are seeing something we are not seeing..maybe that is why they are business men and we are not...about this market being the most modern market is it going to be more modern that aba mall...by the way who they keep quoting 5b dollars for that egbema industrial park?
