PoliticsRe: I Think I Am Getting Impressed With Buhari... Ride On Sir! #frombiafra by asha80(m): 6:59pm On Aug 29, 2015
exxell:
Well to be honest, I am getting impressed with the appointments done so far by Buhari. Coming from a hard core Igbo man and a partial supporter of Jonathan (Based on sentiments), I know a lot of my followers and fellow Igbo men will be surprised. But there is nothing I can do about it. I am beginning to have this feeling that a new sheriff is in town.

Last week, I wanted to write a very damning article about Buhari. But the spirit of integrity inside me was asking me "Are you sure"? As the case maybe, I went beside my house to do clean up and saw something that made me shiver.... There lying on the floor was my 25 liters Jerry can with fuel filled to the brim..... Unused for the last 3 months. It dawned on me that since may 29, I have never visited any filling station to buy fuel for my generator. My generator was already getting rusty... I swear down.

To my fellow Igbos, go within your spirit right now and see if am not saying the truth. I remember vividly that during the past administration, I spent nothing less than 250,000 naira on fuel yearly because I buy on daily basis. Then why am I still annoyed that Jonathan was removed? Even though Jonathan may be innocent as people try to say, I feel the evil forces in Nigeria holding him down are plenty. Believe you me when I tell you that Buhari is not one of them! Don't ask me how I discovered.

For now, my agitations and support for Biafra will be pending. My support for Biafra has always been hinged on the belief that the Igbo tribe has always been marginalised since independence. My agitations for Biafra is not on personal gains as you see some greedy Igbo politicians do. Personally, I believe that other tribes see us as undue threath and that is why a job that a man can do, he will be denied it because he is Igbo. If you are doubting me, go to the Wikipedia page of Ahmadu Bello. You can see where he vividly said that "He do rather give a job to a foreigner to do than give an Igbo man the job because if you employ an Igbo man at a factory as a labourer, he will turn to a supervisor by the year's end".

Nnamdi Kanu as the case maybe, spills the truth most times. But Igbos tell yourself the truth. Anytime you hear Nnamdi kanu talking on radio, does he sound like someone with his sanity? Can't you perceive a man who may eventually order for the cleansing of Igbo land to remove mixed bloods? Or say that the Catholic church is the only church authorized in Biafra? Even though I am a catholic too, I believe in the religious freedom of everybody and freedom of association. I hate denying people their god given freedom. Like I said before, I love some of the things he says but if we are to tell ourselves the truth, the way he goes about them or the way he plans to go about them is nothing but evil. I feel he is using the media to take over the psychologies and mind sets of those frustrated by previous administrations.

Another question I would like to ask my fellow Igbos is this, if we are to get Biafra today, name one Igbo politician you think can become president and give you the Biafra of your dreams. Is it Rochas grin grin grin grin? Is it Nnamdi Kanu shocked shocked shocked shocked? Is it Theodore orji undecided undecided undecided? Is it Uwazurike sad sad sad? The only manageable ones I know that can make us feel the dividends of democracy are Peter Obi, Willie Obiano, Chris Ngige and Sullivan Chime of Enugu state! Am judging them based on their performances in their respective states. If not for anything, I have travelled the length and width of Igboland. But even these three are not strong heads for the presidency. You and I know that. Again aside these three, every other known politician in Igboland are thieves! Yes... I said. Even the Yorubas are have their own huge portion of thieves e.g Fani Kayode, Tinubu and others. Same goes with the Hausas.... A whole lot of them are thieves too.

But I think am beginning to see a light in Buhari.... I am thrilled by his appointments. At least, he is remembering the minorities of Nigeria which are largely spread across the Northern part of the country. If not for anything, let them still have a sense of belonging. Again, those that Buhari appointed are still unknown people who have had no previous political portfolio. So, I support him on that. It shouldn't always be about the likes of FFK who will never remember the poor when they steal. But when they are caught and removed, they quickly resort to facebook to sow seeds of discord to promote evil.

Left for me, I will even say let the Igbo go back to the drawing board and breed good, young politicians that will compete favorably among the top. All these nonsense of Igbo presidency 2019 should stop. No current Igbo politician can handle Nigeria with all the demons in it. Maybe in the future but not now.... we are still to get there yet. ON THAT NOTE, ALL THOSE SHOUTING FOR ROCHAS PRESIDENCY SHOULD BE CAREFUL. ROCHAS IS NOT AN IGBO MAN THAT SHOULD TAKE OUR SLOT. RATHER THAN HAVE ROCHAS AS PRESIDENT, ITS BETTER WE HAVE ASARI DOKUBO OR SHEKAU... YES... ITS THAT BAD. AT LEAST WITH THESE TWO, WE KNOW FROM ON SET THAT WE ARE DOOMED. grin grin grin. BUT WITH ROCHAS, YOU WONT EVEN KNOW IF YOU ARE GOING BACKWARDS OR FORWARDS. ALL THE SAME, I AM CERTAIN ROCHAS CAN'T EVEN WIN IGBOLAND IN PRESIDENCY NOT TO TALK OF NIGERIA.

Finally, I would like to stop here. I wouldn't want to stress much on what I have said. My duty is now to watch those Buhari is appointing and their performance. Their performance is what matters most. If he can appoint Satan to fix this country, I support him. I will only judge him after four years if those he appointed fails. Then I will now start my agitation again with full force. In essence, I am going to give Buhari a breathing space to work. My spirit tells me he is out to better Nigeria and Nigerians as a whole.

Because the political jobbers can manipulate your thought process. Same people manipulate what you read in the papers and watch on TV. Same people brought Nigeria to the extent that government will need to borrow money in order to pay salaries. Same people will want you to clap for them for rehabilitating roads that were built by the military without noise. You can think for yourself if they haven't stolen your ability to reason. We need complete deviation from the ethnic, religious and political norms.
hey hold it there.

Absolutely true. I had to advice one of them the other day to spend more time on the jobs and careers section of the forum rather than spend all day cursing Buhari in the politics board. I put it to him somehow someway, his unemployment isn't unconnected to the misrule of PDP over the years.

I just don't understand why an unemployed youth would support such a party.

Not Anambra government. All of us Igbos in Southeast can build it without Government. I personally have decided thst I will contribute 10million Naira whenever Igbos face reality and decide building that bridge. Buhari might eventually build it but he cannot continue to ridicule us when we can do it ourselves.
a substantial amount of work on that bridge is going to go on in asaba delta state so why say se igbos and count out delta state?..have you ever seen where a state does a substantial amt of job on another state without the later state contributing?what if the state(delta state here) refuses to give permision what then happens?..by the way why are you now advocating that Igbo should do it themselves?where you not the one that always insisted that it should be done by FG?why the about turn now?

You dont beat a child and expect the child not to cry abi......let me also add one for you...it is the way you make your bed that you will lie on it,you are shouting marginalisation of the southeast now that it has come to appointments, when it was the time to vote why did you not cry the same marginalisation when the whole south east were voting him?...you really expect PMB to leave those who gave him majority votes to win the election and start appointing people from the south east who completely abandoned himhuh...you must be high on weeds
When the leaders of Ohaneze Ndigbo were busy collecting bribes to vote PDP,they didnt think it will have reparcurrsions abi?
Let me ask you a question....if GEJ had won and then abandon the SS and SE to start appointing majority from the North, would that have been okay forr youhuh
My advice for the SS anf SE especially is that they should go and learn how to play politics from the SW,they should shun tribalistic politics and play more of collective/group politics
sorry but nothing to learn from sw in this issue..if you say north then I agree

What I expect us to critique is the appointment of credible persons irrespective of ethnicity or religion. If we insist on appointment by geography, we also invariably promote admission by quota rather than merit. It has to start from somewhere. It shouldn't matter as long as performance is good. Would you choose your doctor based on ethnicity or on excellence? If not, why do you want to choose people to fix the country, which we all accept needs fixing, based on ethnicity or religion or other sectarian consideration?
I believe we should allow PMB to choose people he is comfortable to work with as long as they deliver. Please, fellow Nigerians, let us dispense with the era of sectarian alignments so we can make good progress as a nation. God bless Nigeria. Long live Nigeria!
maybe we can now abolish the educationally disadvantage nonsense of entering unity schools and jamb entry variations

You see, you are just embarrassing yourself, what is the meaning of Ignorance? When you lack knowledge. What is the meaning of illiterate? when you cannot read and write. I have clearly shown that I am knowledgeable and that I can articulate myself with proper reasoning and evidence.

Stating the obvious such as that population density is less in Kano as the have bigger land mass is unbelievable, speaking like a kid will in no way make you you sound any smarter.

Those states: Anambra and Imo are under massive pressure due to there overpopulation, is Kano or Oyo?

Kano and Oyo can overpopulate themselves to the extent that they can become as densely populated and as crowded as Anambra and Imo but as of right now they are not. So stop arguing foolishly. You are saying the Hausas and Yorubas should stop overpopulating yet there states are as of right now ( listen this is coming from a Geography expert) are not under pressure in terms of resources or infrastructure due to overpopulation but those other states (Anambra and Imo) are.

I am informing you of information that may be hard for you to comprehend but I have explained in the most easiest of terms possible.
