Nothing much can be done about this rd even if repaired by a quality construction company it will not really last because of heavy duty foods and container pass through it in mins
The long lasting solutions are
Resoration of rail line to apapa/tincan port( I mean high capacity rail)
Diverting traffic away from tincan and apapa ports |

But mass production business is a whole different issue. Those dudes would start cutting corners, paying less and less attention to quality and details.
My first comment was made as a light hearted joke, but a lot of truth is said in jest. If quality control measures can be put in place, then I have no qualms with Aba producing military gears.
Remember that good military gear can mean the difference between life and death in combat. let us even wait and see if the present governor will still remain on seat |

Abagworo: http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/nbc-begins-work-on-n80bn-mega-plant-project-in-imo/217942/
Management of the Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Limited has disclosed that work would soon commence on its mega plant project at Okigwe in Imo State which is expected to cost the company N80 billion.
Also, the bottling company had paid over N33 billion electricity bills it consumed in five years period. This was disclosed by the Head of Public Affairs Communication, Mr. Uzo Odenigbo, during an interactive session with journalists in Owerri, the state capital.
According to him, work on the proposed site should have commenced earlier, stating that despite the delay, arrangement had been concluded to start work on the 30,000 hectares of land soon. He however denied the allegation of rift between the company and the state government over the said land, following the abandonment of the land after many years it was handed over to the NBC.
Odenigbo noted that when the plant becomes operational, it would create jobs for many Nigerians and reduce youth unemployment and restiveness in the country. The company image maker also disclosed that the management had within the period of 2008 to 2013 paid Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) now Enugu Electricity Development Commission (EEDC) the sum of N33 billion as electricity bills.
He stated that the company had always settled its electricity bills anywhere they have their operational plants to avoid distraction despite having other sources of electricity.
Answering questions from journalists during the interactive session, he explained that the NBC operates 12 bottling plants in Nigeria in addition to 50 distribution depots and a widespread network of distribution partners. that is quite huge..well nbc has taken over consolidated brewries..i wonder what part of okigwe this is going to be sited though...rugged terrain |

Flyoruboy: Poppycock! Context, please. Nigeria clearly did not have the resources of the U.S to have embarked on a similar "Marshall plan" to reconstruct your region. Gowon may not have satisfied you all with the amount of attention y'all expected, considering how many other states and underdeveloped parts of the country were and are still begging for attention at the sane time. After all, the SE region was fully reintegrated back into the fold politically as your kinsman became VP and used the influence of that office to divert some development to that region. Besides, your states also receive monthly federal allocation so what are we talking about? in 1973 gowon was quoted as saying 'money is not nigeria's problem but how to spend it'...google it...so much for there was no money..always fibd excuses for our leaders |

Flyoruboy: Yinmu. The guy I responded to was the one who mentioned me so calm the fvck down. So whose fault is it that the Igbos instigated a war they ended up losing? Are they the only group that has recovered from war? Japan and Germany suffered worse humiliation and defeat, South Korea also survived a civil war and they have all moved on and are thriving today so quit sulking. There's nothing special about Igbos condition since the war. Nigeria has tried to reintegrate them since the civil war ended. If Yorubas were in igbo shoes we would also have no choice than to rebuild and move on with life, so get off your high horses and quit spamming my mention. you can talk anything you want but don't compare Germany that was rebuilt by allied forces after the war to what happened to igbos after civil war in nigeria..south Korea was left on its own to develop with backing from usa..i am sure you were not talking about north korea |
