AtlanticBreeze: And you expected GEJ to fix every igbo problem in 6 years, you can't deny he was best igbo friendly president. Why did your buhari suspend the construction of Niger Bridge of which construction was already in top gear? I will still tell you that it's the height of foolishness to justify the killing of an unarmed protester for any reason. tell me which federal road that Jonathan fixed in the se in his six yrs?just one?and why did Jonathan start the fixing of that bridge about yr to to 2015? Why did he not start it in 2011 for a very critical infrastructure? I will also tell you it is height of foolishness to block major highway for 10hrs without expecting a major confrontation..go and tell Onitsha traders that it was not a big deal in this December that a major route that their customers operate from or through was blocked for nearly half a day ..may the souls of those killed rip...however next time ipob should use brain and not brawn |

AtlanticBreeze: Now it's a major highway but this same highway and bridge has been abandoned by FG for donkey years.. Do you know how many businesses being stifled by FG in SE by their anti igbo policies? Our people are getting enlightened especially by Radio Biafra and FG is doing all it can to stop that.. Again there is no reason to justify the killing of unarmed protesters By the govt no matter how you spin it.. and why didn't fg for six yrs manned by Jonathan whom you hold in high esteem fix that all important road for that long period Huh? At least if other Igbo hating presidents did not do anything on the road why didn't an Igbo Loving ' Jonathan do anything on that major road for fucccking six yrs despite the amount of revenue we were getting So Jonathan was also involved in stifling Igbo business too? |

AtlanticBreeze: No apologies for the traffic, it was for serious business and not for jamboree. It's not worse than the anti igbo policies of the FG. There can never be any reason to justify the killing of unarmed protesters especially in a democratic setting.. Never... You are either with us or against us. your last line I laughable..i am supposed to be cowed right? Of course no apologies because I doubt you had anybody or business along that route...hey ipob can shut Onitsha or aba down for one week no issue after all it happens in other climes as well..but a major highway being shut down is an invitation to fracas simple |

warrior01: Does that justify using live bullets on unarmed protesters? What happen to rubber bullets, tear gas or water cannons? The fact remains that there is a deep seated hatred of the Igbos in this country. The lives of any Igbo girl or boy matters and can't be wished away. look my friend it is high time we start telling ourselves the truth..the military and police as usual as animals for using live bullets like the always do but dont go inviting them ..there has been rallies in most se towns and cities with little or no casualty...even the rally in owerri the police were just escorting them...but blocking a major highway for fucccking 10hrs When I heard about that I knew it was going to be inevitable that would be fracas...do you know there was traffic from asaba all the way to aggor? |

Again, why would Army, Police and navy open fire on unarmed protesters with live ammunition if not for deep seated hatred? blocking a major highway for up to 10 hrs was also stupid and courting trouble |

cnario: I was chilling at the very coded garden of Ben Enweonwu Gallery in Ikoyi, when I overheard two guys discussing. What caught my attention was that one is an Awka guy, while the other one is from 'ikwu nne m', Alor. Apparently, the Awka guy has just built a massive house somewhere on the island, cos the Alor guy wanted to know if the Awka guy would build a 'basillica' in Awka, since he built a 'cathedral' in Lagos. But the Awka guy's response broke my heart to pieces. To cut the long story short, the last time the Awka guy stepped foot in the east was almost 10yrs ago, when his dad was buried, and his elder brother was kidnapped at his father's burial. He thinks Awka, and by extension the entire east, is a primitive village full of savages. He said a lot of silly things that got me boiling on the inside, since this was coming from a supoosed 'Nwa afo', and not 'Onye ofe'.
Anyway, I politely introduced myself, and within minutes we were all chatting like old friends. I tried to make him understand that things are not what they used to be, but he just wasn't buying any of it. In other to convince him, I remebered this thread, and got him to open it on his iPad, but this guy hates the word 'Nairaland'; said it's full of jobless bigoted kids. When this thread finally loaded, the few pages at the beginning weren't too impressive, so we had to jump several pages. But sadly, he landed on a page where my man chino and his sworn enemy from our sister state were doing their thing, which left a very bad taste in the mouth.
This encounter reminded me of the fact that the good things that have been happening in Anambra has no serious media coverage. Yes, that issue has been over-flogged here on this thread. But what if Ibeto doesn't invest in the media? what if Chief Mike Nonso Ajegbo continues to allow MINAJ rot away? Are we just going to keep wishing that someone will rise and do it? The guys on this thread have really been doing a wonderful job, but is it really enough? Is it giving Amabra the necessary Media coverage?
I've heard several/different people talk about developing websites that focus on showcasing the developments and good things happening in Anambra, but I'm yet to see any of them. So I've finally decided to take the bull by the horn. I don't just want to talk, but instead act and contribute my own quota.
I wish to develop a website that will focus on the beautiful things and developmental projects going on in Anambra. I have a lot of ideas on how I'd like it to function, like properly tagging pictures, grouping projects according to location, showing industries, schools, showing the wholistic developments going on in Anambra. We'll have a dedicated ideas/suggesion page where 'umu omambala', from across the world, can contribute their ideas. There's a whole lot I can't type here now.
I'm not talking about a project that'll be forgotten after this post, rather a project that should be fully live in about 2weeks time. I know that with the support of all the guys on this thread we can make it happen. Frank's pictures will definitely go a very long way.
What do you guys think? there are actually some igbos like that especially in Lagos..not really sure why some of our educated rich men have not embraced the media especially the tv..dies not make sense..some Igbos outside igboland stil hold on too that description of of igboland as crime ridden region when funnily enough some statistics show otherwise....apart from all the above the amout of money circulating in an environment determines how much individuals are retained or attracted to that environment |

Cjrane2: That Bishop42 guy truly has a way to mislead folks on issues. That dude is a very dangerously dishonest fellow. he can convince you water is wine, if you don't have your guards on.I remember when he did his skyscrapers crusade for Igboland, and conveniently based all his argument on mindset while he tactfully ignored all the realities of funding, technical know how etc.
I really don't trust that Bishop42 guy.
Just wondering aloud on what he claimed, he said northerners were investing in Asaba,Enugu, Anambra, Port harcourt etc, can he name those northern investments? This is a guy that tells whatever fantastic lie he likes without a shred of truth nor reality. Again he conveniently ignored that Igbo businesses and properties have been constant target of almajiri riots in the north. Yet Igbos own countless businesses, massive sprawling estates in the north and west. I will be glad if he can point to one decent duplex or even bungalow owned by a northerner or yoruba anywhere in Igboland.
He will not confront such hard facts, but he will come around to post some crappy, unrelated logic how Chinese invested or America or how America invested in Japan. The question is, has American or Chinese investment been looted and burned in Nigeria or elsewhere as Igbo properties in the north?......, and the Americans or Chinese stubbornly go back to the same places to rebuild them just for the same arson to be repeated over and over? The answer is NO, because they are wise. Foolish isn't Igbo. For the avoidance of doubt, nobody says Igbo should not invest outside Igboland such as in Cameroon, Kenya, Senegal or Ghana. We are only telling our people to learn from history and chiefly avoid northern nigeria and to an extent, western Nigeria.
I have seen our people in the north argue against igbo interest because they think they are northerners, simply because they were born there.if you check closely, that guy probably lives in Sokoto or katsina as one of those Igbos that speak hausa and would have gleefully sold out their kith & kin, but for their misfortune that the north bluntly refused to accept them. Even though they were born and bred there.
I typically view their opinions with massive spoons of salt. My problem is really how his previous posts is at variance with his post I quoted...he also has a habit of posting high conspiracy theories against Igbo and some other inane stuffs too but fails to see how those his posts is at parallel with this his post |

Bishop42: This kind of comment is why I detest many democracies or even few people dictating for millions. Igboland should be run like Chinese democracy by hundreds of brilliant Patriots gathering to brain storm before dishing comments and never allow emotions cloud their judgement otherwise..we will be at the mercy of too many emotional patriots, puppets or moles churning out policies that will never stand the taste of time.
Don't you guys ever wonder what the impact of not investing in North,SW or Middlebelt for the next 100yrs will have in Igboland? This was thesame careless emotional excuse that made America and other Western societies to avoid Africa, now China is investing heavingly all over Africa and they are panicking.
If you guys really have the best interest of Ndiigbo at heart you will naturally balance the whole thing by aswell asking Northerners to stop investing in Portharcourt,Asaba,Enugu,Anambra,Southern Benue and other part of Igboland. Ignoring this part gives us reasons to view this comment with suspicion. I recall when I read about Dokubo and Uwazurike doing a rally in SouthEast I ask someone never to trust these people... I still have the record.. and one of my reason was the desperate tactis he used in forcing home ndiigbo who could have voted for Jonathan this year... while ACF made it a point of duty to see that Northern in refuge camps voted for their own...thw dude "who have the interest of ndiigbo at heart" was busy scream "lata wanu nu no,okwa otuwa ka ojukwu siri kwu,ndi igbo anagi anu ihe". The quickiest way to know if these traitors are loyal or for their selfish interest is to disgise as the enemy and treat them like king, you can break them in a short time.
If I have my way I will lauch a 3billion dollar fund for for innoson, cortix wire, other indiginous company to spread to to Northern , South West Nigeria and Worldwide. I bet innoson and local compnies is already thinking toward this direction but narrowminded people(both igbo and non igbos) could be frustrating. The time to encourage or force Igbo companies to spread and conquer other lands is now. Lest We Forget: NO TRIBE IN NIGERIA INVEST HOME MORE THAN THE IGBOS,I STAND TO BE CORRECTED you type like someone that speaks from both sides of the mouth |

Cjrane2: I think Oremi22 is 100% right.
It doesn't have to be yorubaland, even though it is indeed part of the alien territories our people have continued to bury their life savings.
I read the use of the name "Dangote" as a metaphor. I understand it to mean even the wealthiest blackman on planet earth, known for investing every where else in the world has wisely kept his investments out of Igboland that he considers enemy territory. I doubt there are any hausa or Yoruba man that has a hut in Igboland, yet Igbos are "wisely" exposing all their wealth in hausa and yorubaland for their enemies to easily target, convert or destroy.
Any Igbo person even a tenth as rich as Dangote, would have bought all the land in Kano,Kaduna,Sokoto, Abuja, lagos and Osogbo. The baffling stupidity of our people with the continued investment of all their treasures in the enemy's territory has become untenable and truly embarrassing. Therefore now, we must clearly tell those that have continued with that foolish behavior to know that "they are on their own" I understand the metaphor not investing in igboland but the statement 'dangote investing within his territory ' as oremi wrote is false unless hausas and yorubas are considered to be within the same territory or are now chummies because apart from obajana in Benue and one other tomato processing plant said to be built in Kano all other dangote investments are in Lagos and ogun A good example of an igboman that fits into this investing outside territory thing is erisco foods..just google him |

Our people are typically more English than the English in their stubborn opinion and deafness to continue investing their life savings in the land of their avowed enemy. I truly feel sorry for those Igbos that will consider putting ALL their life savings and investment in Hausa or Yorubaland. Some will even openly deride you as being "local or not exposed" for investing in Enugu, Anambra, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi or Anioma. Yet they rush to invest in Katsina, Kano, Damaturu, Akure or Gusau. As if they are wiser nor richer than Aliko Dangote that has kept his investments within his own region.

There's no way a team comprising 16 year old boys with their usual frame and strength, can play top quality football consistently at that level for 90 minutes in a standard pitch. now they are shouting MRI scan, as if its 100% sensitive. I remember in 2007, when the likes of sani Emmanuel and Macaulay christantus brought home the cup, and some of us raised doubts. it was this same incoherent abusive aspersions we received. I cant recall anybody from that team playing meaningful football anywhere. yet that tournament produced the likes of christian benteke, david de gea, eden hazard, toni kroos, illaramendi, james Rodriguez, and mamadou sakho.
players like mario gotze, isco, neymar, ike muinan were in nigeria for the 2009 edition. the only player in that team still relevant today is ogenya onazi.
