On a lighter note; why do Igbo nominees attend the session in sharp tailored suits while most others from other ethnic groups wear native attires? At least Dr. Kachikwu of Delta; Enugu, Abia and Imo nominees wore suits.

Porous soil type, heavy rains and population pressure. Chino will not tell us the state of most roads barely constructed last 1 or 2 years in Awka which have degenerated greatly with erosion threats. The Southeast Governors should involve environmental experts in whatever new road they intend to construct to forestall erosion problems. Even the Onitsha-Owerri Road is about being cut off too.

Imo, FMB partner to build 2,000 housing
units

Signs deal on fertilizer plant

THE Imo State Government has concluded
arrangement with the Federal Mortgage Bank (FMB)
to build 2,000 housing units, comprising semi-
detached duplexes and blocks of flats, for its workers
in the three senatorial zones under the Imo Model
Scheme.

Governor Rochas Okorocha, who disclosed this to
journalists at the weekend in Owerri, after a meeting
with the officials of the bank, led by Executive
Director, Mr. Charles Ajifa, said the state government
would provide about N10 billion, adding that while
the state government would contribute 60 per cent,
the bank would commit 40 per cent. He also
disclosed that the authorities of the FMB would pay
the developers and recover the money on behalf of
the state government and itself.

The governor regretted that workers in the state did
not benefit from such despite huge contributions that
were made. He added that the state government
would provide land, good road network and
infrastructure in the areas. About N1 billion, he said,
had been contributed, just as he disclosed that the
project would begin with initial 1,000 housing units.
Executive Director of the FMB, Charles Ajifa, said
some housing units already constructed by the bank
would soon be handed over to the state government.
A committee was set up to carry the project.

Also, the Imo State Government has signed a
Memoranda of Understanding (MoU), with a foreign
firm to build a 500-tonne capacity of Fertilizer plant
in the Industrial Park of Ohaji/ Egbema Local Council
of the state, to serve the needs of farmers.

Secretary to the State Government, Jude Ejuogu, in
collaboration with the Permanent Secretary of the
Ministry of Agriculture, Mrs. Lilian Asuzu, signed the
deal on behalf of government a representative of the
firm, Mr. Nguyam Kim Tawo, signed for his company
I would have loved if they named the specific area those houses are going to be built...they should also not abandon or maintaining existing estates

YOU ARE THE ONLY FOOL HERE!
I have repeatedly said here in my other moniker that I want Niger Delta to join Biafra or form Niger Delta Republic.

I wouldn't want a Biafra where SS will remain in Nigeria.Because we need SS seaport, for we to have easy access to it;Niger Delta should either join Biafra or form Niger Delta Republic.

Why we are including SS in Biafra is because there is no secessionist movement going on in SS,once there is one;you wouldn't hear SS with Biafra.

For ur information,There is oil & gas in Abia,Imo and Anambra.Coal dey Enugu, the largest rice farmland in west Africa is in Ebonyi.

I can understand why yorubas don't want Nigeria to break, because you ppl will suffer. It is you yorubas that wan die ontop SS oil.Yorubas can't do without SS oil, what is happening in Osun State today is a typical example.

So go to hell!
and what if niger delta decides to remain in Nigeria?

My dear, if I must go by what Mazi Kanu has said and if I should believe that all he says is the undiluted truth (like his faithfuls claim), then it is now clear where TA Orji, Mbadinuju etc etc have come from. These men were planted by ndi awusa na ndi yoruba as leaders in igbo land to ensure we remain backwards, and the only solution to this dangerous cycle is to breakaway from Nigeria instantly. grin cheesy
well if kanu can be hailing nyesom wike as a real man for standing up to apc despite wike's shenanigans during his tenure as obi akpor LGA chairman towards biz men and property developers most of them of Igbo origin then I am not surprised if he said that
PoliticsRe: Second Biafra War: Radio Biafra Director Moves To Acquire Weapons (video) by asha80(m):
obailala:
I would try to summarise his statement:

"I do not want ndigbo to to accept that a change in name will make anything to be different. There are about 7 states in Nigeria today which are predominantly Igbos and never has it been heard that any of these states hasn't received federal allocation. Never has it also been heard that any major movement has ever agitated in the state levels to make things better for our people. But instead, we seem to be jumping straight to the federal level with these agitations. When shall we say Igbo people and Igbo states are doing extraordinarily well and will do even better if we stay on their own?... I am not seeing that but instead I keep hearing that if we separate, we will become great.

Let use the latest country created by the UN which is South Sudan as an example; at inception, it was all about excitement, but now, the people are doing what?.. the people are dying and killing themselves.

THE ISSUE IS NOT WHETHER WE ANSWER BIAFRA OR NIGERIA, THE ISSUE IS, WHAT ARE WE DOING FOR OURSELVES NDIGBO?

So my brothers, before we start talking about what the Hausa's are doing to us, have we talked about what we are doing to clean our house?"

In answering the question, Mazi Kanu claimed that Nigeria never loved Igbos and will never love Igbos and that it is Nigeria (presumably Hausas and Yorubas) that impose the bad leaders we have on the Igbo states too ensure we remain backwards. That any Igbo governorship aspirant who has a good plan/manifesto would be frustrated and removed by the Hausas; that even Ngige, when they saw he was doing very well, they quickly removed him. lipsrsealed undecided
So sad cry
well valid question

As for the ngige statement though huh undecided
So uba chris received instruction from hausa and yoruba to go to court and confess that he rigged election for ngige and that the true winner is obi right?
By the way that ngige is now with the 'islamic party' so what gives?

By the way a lot of anambrarians believe obi did well so why didn't Hausa remove him?

I guess too that it was the Hausa that put ta orji as governor of abia state instead of kalu orhi right?

At the Senatorial screening today, I observed that the question by Senator George sekibo from River State to the nominee, Onyeama on the state of Enugu-Onitsha expressway, the second Niger bridge and on the resean for the current agitation for Biafra was reserved by the nominee.
Could it be that the topic is too sensitive or that Nigeria is afriad to be čonfronted with that painful truth.
he answered the Onitsha Enugu rd issue

zimoni:
A stewpeed Senator just asked a ministerial candidate from Enugu State that is currently being screened "In your own opinion, what do you think is responsible for the agitation of Biafra Republic by IPOB".

That is a Stewpeed question to ask a ministerial nominee.

And the idiatu can't tell Biafrans what to do with their lives. It's their decision to remain Nigerians or seek for Biafra Republic.

People should stop advising Igbo's.

Lobatan.
funnily enough the nominee seems to have skilfully sidestepped the issue..i wonder what he wanted the nominee to say....
Though the question on Enugu Onitsha express even though funny is a bit pertinent

This is the typical Nigerian mentality and that's why we are not moving Foward. Remove the monthly peanut we get from FG and watch state owned factories spring up everywhere. That no state owned factory is working does not mean it's not feasible, it's because our brain and mindset has been programmed to be very lazy through the allocation of free oil money from FG every month.
enyi state no fit run industry and it has nothing to do with with laziness from oil..rather govts should do what they are supposed to do instead of embezzling money and sharing money to cronies

How will govt run factories? The way they run civil service or mdas which you know how inefficient they can be? You think industries in china is run by Chinese govt despite the so called communism they practice? Is it uk or usa? You think they are fools?

By the way govts in the past have set up factories and non is working now because of bureaucracy and corruption eg in Imo adapalm, avuru poulty, resin paints and many more

The FG shouldn't bother about IPOB nonsense, we here in Onitsha alone can deal with their madness.

They and Nnamdi kanu didn't know there are more MASSOB sympathizers in the SE than IPOB sympathizers, IPOB is far more popular abroad(Lagos, PH,Abuja, USA, UK, Asia, wherever) and that was why Onitsha and Aba were quiet after the arrest of that idiot while PH made some noise and the fools realizing their foolery in PH all packed up knowing that Ndi Onitsha and Aba ain't part of their bull crap.
I guess that is the reason that moniker easternleopard opened a thread about 'forgeting' ph ..i am sure he has seen or heard statements made about that with that ph and environs because i know he is one ipob guy based in Nigeria and east to be precise from his comments
