The speculation part I was referring to LadyExcellency......
After that my response to you in the post was whatever market forces are, there is a regulated pump price, which needs to be abided by,
If you are not comfortable with that, close shop and wait till normalcy returns.
well probably why no one is selling fuel in owerri now both major and minor petrol stations
PoliticsRe: Why Is Fuel #87 In The North And #120 - #130 In The East? by asha80(m): 11:00am On Jan 13, 2016
Proudlyngwa:
That is speculation.
What we have is artificial scarcity, and to an extent logistical problems due to bad roads. Pump price is 87naira for all DPR approved fuel stations, if you source from the black market, sell in the black market, not through your pumps.
We must never encourage illegality
what is speculation in what I wrote?

Marketers in the east will rather settle DPR with a million than sell at regulated pump price, even after adjusting their meter.
Instead of them to hold the marketers accountable, they will blame the government and by the time such marketers are arrested..the victimised people will come out and shout victimisation.
before the distortion in fuel availability countrywide because of that talk owing of subsidies to marketers around October fuel was selling that the approved 87 naira in all filling stations in the east

Hope you can stop spamming my mentions now.

hypocrisy builds up in someone and does not build up one

Of course you can mask it but inference shows you hate all by this statement you made in another thread ' this is the reason I have more respect for other regions of the country' because of a demonstration of obviously sponsored touts that also occur in other places

So every Igbo person you know displays hostility towards others? And you think yourself enlightened? Like I said take it easy before it eats you up

Before election, we saw this crap as they tried to use it to taint Baba's image.

After the election, they brought it forward again.

When the corruption fight started yielding fruits, they brought it up.

Now, they are still bringing it up.

Na una go tire. cheesy

Useless Ekpas. Instead of them joining their brothers to protest using banners in the streets of Aba, they come on the forum spreading very dull stories that we've read over a million times.
you really have a thing against igbos otherwise I dont see the reason why you just had to use aba.take it easy because it is really eating you up

PoliticsRe: Customs Impounds 3 Trailers In Katsina, Conveying Contraband Goods by asha80(m): 9:50am On Jan 12, 2016
uchlukez:
This has nothing to do with 'Igbo man business'. Anybody that knows katsina knows that these trailers belong to DAHIRU MANGAL. He is a well known business man there and ferrying contraband is all he does. He has been untouchable because of his close friendship with the former NCS boss Dikko Inde. He has more than a thousand trailers that ferry these goods. His problem started with this change of Costoms boss.
so in essence dahiru is being clamped finally??

Of the 3 major ethnic areas only Igbo area is where native, Pidgin and English are mixed in communication. Delta, Edo and Rivers are the only places where communication is done in mostly Pidgin. Even in Lagos, people often talk to you in Yoruba.
I did not even want to infuse that in my argurement with that guy...kind of childish the excuse he gave

hogwash if you have not lived in the core north where 'ba turanchi' is the order of the day when you speak English yet it did not stop igbos from living there

Now u don't need to be harsh with words to pass a point. I only spoke from the experience I had while living in the east. If I might draw from your assertion, it might simply buttress the reason why you find more of the Igbos and the Hausas living more amongst themselves because they are guilty of such occurrences.
if you believe that the reason why it seems igbos and Hausa live amongst themselves more is because they supposedly share a trait of speaking their native languages to strangers then I am sorry but your reasoning ability is below average
PoliticsRe: Why Are Most Igbos Towns Made Up Of 90-98% Igbos Or Native? by asha80(m): 2:08pm On Jan 10, 2016
Festy4u:
@Op, I think your point is valid but unfortunately, many especially the indigenes of that region may not see the point you are trying to make. If I may say this, although it might appear a little weird but true. The mode of communication between the indigenes and non-indigenes within the eastern states might be one of the reasons. I say this because I happened to school in the east and each time I approached a potential indigene be it at school, the market place or the bank and asked a simple question expressing myself in English, I got a reply from them in their native language! This got me worried most of the time. Now, I'm not saying you don't speak your native languages to your folks but most definitely not to people you don't know or those you are meeting for the first time. I actually replied a guy once in my native language once he had a conversation with me in his Igbo language and he later replied that he doesn't understand what I was saying and I said to him neither do I understand what he was saying. So as minute as this argument might seem, it might be one of the reason non-indigenes shy away from settling in the eastern states. I stand to be corrected though!
hogwash if you have not lived in the core north where 'ba turanchi' is the order of the day when you speak English yet it did not stop igbos from living there

PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by asha80(m): 9:58am On Jan 10, 2016
Afam4eva:
That is because those are the largest local governments in Imo state. They are 3, 4 or 5 times larger than other local governments. So, the population tends to look scanty and most of the lands are used for farming. Mmahu which is the capital of Ohaji/Egbema for example, despite having basic infrastructure such as roads etc, the population is very low. Most streets there look empty unlike other local government centers in Imo state.
I doubt if it has anything to do with large size of lga..it has to do with the settlement pattern of our forefathers..from owerri upwards to orlu and ideato/okigwe especially orlu/nkwerre/ideato axis(with mbaise outside this axis) form part of an area where colonialist saw and said that igboland was made up of thickly populated villages...if you read up history of Nigeria or books that dealt with relationships between colonialists and what they met in different parts of the country I am sure you would come across those perceptions the colonialists had about population density in igboland..we are even lucky that Igbos are migratory in nature otherwise it would have been worse by now...also lga is a recent creation..in 1930 those local govts did not exists but the villages in them did

It is equally same from Owerri to Mbaise, Umuahia to Obowo, Orlu to Ihiala and Orlu to Mgbidi. There is population pressure in Northern Imo State as opposed to South.
I dont think mbaise can be categorized as northern Imo..i think it is only oguta lga, ohaji egbema lga and ngor okpala lga that we dont have population pressure

like I said ignorance is bliss..you can believe everything you want but also tell your trash to the thousands on northerners living in Igbo cities and towns...same way I should be termed ignorant if I should use the the number of senseless religious crisis and riots over the years in the north were in the process Igbo men lose their lives to conclude that northerners are savages even without going to live there

It has nothing to do with fear of competition as the ibos on this thread are trying to imply. It is more to do with the fact that the ibos are not really hospitable people couple with the fact that they are very hostile with nasty arrogant attitude to go with. I mean even here on this thread they are already displaying their arrogance by implying no one can compete with them.
Nigerians will rather live in Jigawa than live in Anambra; FACT.
ignorance is bliss..go and tell the nonsense above to your fellow northerners living in se cities and surburbs

yes you are correct , that's one thing I can't understand. Billions are in the north but it seems as if those money are fixed deposit for thousands years. What's their problem. Many NGO's are own by south west but I can't see a serious one own by a norther. Why the money? Why can't they use the money to lift up their people from hardship? Why the 100% suffering in the north? Why why that's what I can't get the answer. The norther youth need to stand up and fight those elites seriously. What's the way forward ? What's the way fporward for norther youth and global development?
you have to understand that traditional system of government in the north to know why it is difficult to do so - feudalism
