Thanks Feddy.
I'm not a Montessori teacher. I just began to learn it.
If your chid is age 4 below, I'd advise you to put him in a Preschool rather than a school that has nursery section. This because all the staff will be trained and expected to know how to teach/ interact with the kids.
When you scout for schools, the class structure will let you know whatsup....

In my classroom for example, you'll find shelves filled with hands-on things the kids can work with to develop fine motor skills and stimulate their senses.. Our board is mainly filled with notes we stuck on it with only a little space beneath where the kids can scribble and write. There is a reading corner filled with books.
The class is also grouped according to their capabilities.
For example in my school,.there are 4 classes only.
Class 1 has kids older than 1 but not yet 2. They dont write at all. They play a lot to develop gross motor skills.
Class 2 has kids that just clocked 2 or about to clock 2 but are more matured than their counterparts in Class 1. These kids are undergoing potty training and improve on fine motor skills. Their pencil grip will be improved upon with the help of a lot of montessori activities. They also learn to count and identify numbers, sound and identify single letters. At this stage, some are ready to write and are encouraged to.
Class 3( my class) has kids between 2-3. The 2 year olds are like 2years and 6 months to 3 years and 6 months. These kids are ready to write and encouraged too. Althou some get it faster than others. Now within the class, there are still subgroups; the exceeding, required and emerging groups. The exceeding groups are high flyers and we dont hold them back. At age 2, some are writing to 30 and blending 2 letter words. The required groups do what is the norm for their age range. The emerging group are the ones that really need us. At age 3, they can barely hold pencil the right way. They go at a slow pace and we understand that. The funny thing is most of the kids in.the emerging group are really smart when it.comes to audio-visual learning.
Class 4 has kids between 3-4. They have started reading proper and can write well except for the emerging group. Occasionally we throw our really high exceeder over there.
The structure of the school and class will hive an insight to what they say they offer.
Ask questions.
Tanx for these. U just gave me a better understanding of my 2nd son(4yrs): so smart(smarter than his elder bro(7yrs), who is academically brilliant), yet u wonder why he cant write or identify numbers or alphabets easily?!

I have tried to look for explanation regarding these two Bible verses after coming across them in one of Hussein Mabera's books (I think) on Christianity, but I couldn't find any. Since Nairaland is one of the most vibrant religious debate forums, I believe posting this dare is in order.
Kindly any Christian with a TRUE FAITH IN YAHWEH AS SMALL AS MUSTARD SEED COMMAND ZUMA ROCK OR ANY MOUNTAIN OF YOUR CHOICE TO ANY LOCATION as declared by Jesus himself in the two verses. If your faith is smaller than that kindly forward it to your Pastors and Daddy G.Os we will be waiting before new year.
Mathew 17:20
New International Version
He replied, "Because you have so little faith.
Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a
mustard seed, you can say to this mountain,
'Move from here to there,' and it will move.
Nothing will be impossible for you."
ALSO
Luke 17:6
New International Version
He replied, "If you have faith as small as a
mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry
tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it
will obey you.
The reality is, u dont av to practice any religion to move mountains!

Very possible, much like the religious God.
But, whereas the religious God is credited with creating everything from nothing, this supreme neural network that we hypothesize about has to be a product of evolution itself, because it feeds and grows and evolves through the feedbacks from its dispersed neural units.
In other words, if God is our minds and in our minds, then God is growing and evolving through our experiences.
Yeah. A Supreme Consciousness.

I am inclined to say that it is part of a whole.
Going back to quantum mechanics, it is theorized by some that there exist only one electron in the universe, which , through quantum processes, happens to be everywhere at the same time.

If this is true, then likewise, we can surmise that there is only one mind that just happens to be everywhere at the same time.

In other words, we are all part of a giant, infinite neural network.
We can, with proper tuning of our minds, TAP into this infinite reservoir of information, knowledge, and I suppose, wisdom.

This is the original basis of meditation and Prayer. Both are supposed to be practices for mental sanitation, and ultimately, self-communion.
If we are part of a giant, infinite neural network, and with possible ability to tap into this infinite reservoir of info, knowledge n wisdom, isnt it logical then, that this infinite neural network stands apart, sharing info to diverse parts of its reach. In essence, a supreme network, motherlode, from which lesser networks can tap from?
Christianity Etc › Re: The Human Mind Is The True GOD by ashjay001(m): 1:59pm On Nov 22, 2016

Thanks for the comment.

I have always had a curious mind and have passed through the toughest of religion from a younger age. I question everything into details. I read everything and will not condemn any theory without my personal investigation. I found out that religious teaching is made of encoded mysteries that only a level of human understanding can detect.

Basically I read the bible as a kid, youth and and Adult. I read books by philosophers like Kahlil Gibran,Alan Watts and many more. These guys were once like us caught up in the world of religion but had their own minds

A guy like Gandhi saying to the Christians,"I like your Christ but not Christians" showed he saw the bigger picture. All the guys tried to reform their people, and they did this by teaching them a different ways of thinking. Jesus spoke about the Kingdom of God being inside the human, same as other philosophers. The output can only be determined by what is inside,so this is why I focus on the Mind of an individual.

As for the higher Consciousness you mention, I will say you can be that high consciousness if you wish to. The fact that you think their is one means that is the level you need to be. We are called Human-Beings because our main attribute is to "be" and we can be anything we want as long as the mind is right.
How do u think, our consciousness came about?
Christianity Etc › Re: The Human Mind Is The True GOD by ashjay001(m): 1:46pm On Nov 22, 2016
plaetton:
Your mind is, under proper tuning, capable of higher consciousness.
We exhibit higher consciousness from time, but we are often too distracted to recognize it.

The human brain has been shown to possess quantum mechanical properties.
This means that your mind extends beyond its physicality, into infinity. It here and also everywhere at the same time, just like quantum particles. It transmits and received both physically measurable energy ( electrical impulses) and non-physically measurable energy( cosmic impulses from corners of the universe) .
Makes a lot of sense, yet, is my consciousness part of a whole? Or just one of d numerous available?

This will probably be my last post on nairaland. But before I leave for good,I will leave a parting gift.

Everyone is busy disusing, arguing, name calling all because of one thing,God. But what really is God? According to the christians,God is the creator of all things in the Universe and I do agree with them. What is what God is,but who is God? This is where the Christians fall flat!

God is the Mind of Individuals. Some people think the mind is as a result of the brain, which isn't true. The mind is the human meaning of the brain.

Just as mind is the human meaning of the brain, so God is the theological meaning of mind. That is what the fighting is all about. This is what religious folks call "God". Christians, your holy book said....“The Kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21). I wonder if you guys every came across that. That's your mind not elsewhere.

I would love to go a bit into observed science we have today(although just a fraction of how the mind works)

The brain’s left half proceeds item-by-item and step-by-step. I call it the Atheist-Mind. It observes, organizes, explains things systematically, It is always "on alert," constantly vigilant, isolating and mastering and takes things into account. It observes and explains things in a rational way. The right side is imagination, creation of illusion and beliefs without questions, pays little attention to details.I will call it the religious mind.

To the Christians, your bible contains everything about your mind and how it is indeed God. I will give a verse for you to remember me with.

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

The guy Jesus...what about him? The guy worshiped worshiped by some(Christians) and hung on the tree by the others(Atheists) but both did not get his message. "His message" is an embodiment of truth that you all are Gods(Powerful Minds) Which was a metaphor. And again,Jesus did not really exist. Jesus is the amalgamation of the left and right brain which would become a powerful force when united.

That's it for me. Goodbye nairaland.
If I might ask, how did u arrive at this? I've been finding my way towards this point, though, I still believe in a higher consciousness.

Yeah there are thousands of people with different sort of unique abilities..most as a result of some sort of genetic disorder. I bet the types you have encountered has already been studied & documented, if other wise, kindly state them ...we learn everyday.

Science, technology & art has been able to explain to a reasonable extent, most of the feats performed by humans that we thought were supernaturally inclined.

But it's good that you've dropped your specificity claim of knowing about witches to a generic standpoint of encountering people doing things you can't do & can't explain...now that's more like it cool
I am more informed, as such may not label pple with who do things I cant explain as witches. But, really, what would u expert d common man to call them? If not witches!?

My Grandfather, died in 1993, walked into a room with a comatose kid, who had d misfortune of having hot cooking oil poured on him, during d festive period. The boy walked out, some hours later with no sign of d incident.

Recently, due to a conversation, with an atheist, I questioned my mum(a supposedly born again xtian), on that incidence. She replied that he actually removed d venom(oro) of d attack. He did something called 'ogede', and that it was something he does regularly, as d village head(Baale) n a spiritualist.

How do u think science would explain that?

Personally, I av come to realise, d mind can do amazing things, if u can harness it. I believe, those with ds amazing abilities, have accessed d part of their psychic that allows them to do such, and that every individual can access it, if they so wish.

Some pple are born, with such abilities at their fingertips, some have to learn it and others might never be able to access it.

Science has not begun to understand it! Why? Probably because, its intangible!

Its presence, is why humans turn to religion.

That I dont refer to it as witchcraft, doesnt take anytin away from it. It is there, just that, man is yet to comprehend what it encompasses!

That intangible substance, is why men have created all manner of religions to access it!

Death, is just the removal of that substance/consciousness. What happens to it, when it leaves d body? How can u use it to d fullest, when u're alive? Thats my quest.

But, that its a figment of gullible imaginations, thats ur prerogative!
