I know a Yoruba family and the couples are from different churches and they are in peace. But I remember having the argument with a group of Yoruba friends and they all said it's the Yoruba culture that a woman should follow her husband to his church or religion. Heard of this "following the man to his church" thing first in Yoruba land. And most say that's the "ideal". Don't be myopic to think what's obtainable in ur place is the ideal worldwide. Like a Yoruba man that went to Zambia and asked the students to lie down while greeting him because that's how "Africans" do. Since when "Yoruba" don become "Africa". As a CATHOLIC, i'll let you know that the laws of the Church doesn't allow a catholic to move to another church under the cover of marriage. Whether Man or Woman. If a non-catholic wants to marry a catholic, he/she MUST agree in front of the Priest to not interfere with the faith of the catholic partner. And the children must be raised in the catholic faith in the hands of the catholic partner. whether na man or woman. The non-catholic partner is free to go to his own church or religion. Before reading this post, I had made up my mind to live my short or long life here on earth WITHOUT MARRIAGE. For the simple reason of the work I do, which makes me travel around the world/Africa a lot, and never staying in a single location for more than 2 years. I can't have a family with that, even though I love women like any sane man. I agree with OP that life is sweet as a single person because of the ability to do anything. Yet, most of the reasons you gave are pro-immoralism, and you end up saying you hate girls equally. Like saying that if you want a child you could adopt (good) or get a baby mama (not call). Sex and/or Children are to be made ONLY under the umbrella of marriage. If you ain't gonna get married like me, then you should be chaste (celibate), or at least try to. How about this easy way. I've never been on the hotseat but I was almost there. I did their online who wants to be... and took 3rd. I was given 10k for it. Some days later they called me on phone and told me they'll ask me a question for taking 3rd online and if I answer i'll go for the live show. ISNT THAT EASY. I guess their are many ways it can happen, and not just the way it happened to OP. PS: I didn't go to the liveshow coz they asked me the year of independence of Hong Kong to be answered in 15secs.
