PoliticsRe: Between Igbo, Yoruba And Other Nigerian Women. What Is It With Igbo Women? by asorocker: 6:41am On Apr 08, 2011
Igbo ladies have been beaten the world in other areas too like sports , first nigerian gold medalist is chioma Ajunwa an igbo lady.

An igbo lady won gold for britain in olympic.

African female soccer champions the falcon is 99% igbo . Also world second best after german female team.
They are also good in entertainment nollywood, music industry, business.

They yoruba ladies aren't just a match for them , stop the comparism ,you can compare them with germans or japanes or chinese.
PoliticsRe: Do You Agree With Bbc's Analysis Of Nigeria's Health, Wealth And Population? by asorocker: 7:01am On Apr 05, 2011
Agbo ugiri nze was reputed to be this and that yet it didn't deliver or even hinder the northern army in the 60s .

Please this is 2011 and most NL are enlightened.
PoliticsRe: Do You Agree With Bbc's Analysis Of Nigeria's Health, Wealth And Population? by asorocker: 6:57am On Apr 05, 2011
The analysis by BBC seems good but how come OYO was rated higher than Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa in wealth, how come Aba and Onitsha couldn't raise the ratings of their bearer states.

The analysis also shows the GDP of abuja lower than Nassarawa , Edo, Ogun and Imo, we all know the truth.

Was BBC staff drunk or what or is this another ploy to unmake Nigeria again like they did in the 50s

Why not paraphrase this scripture with what is happening aroung nigeria , in ivory coast , lybia , egypt and sudan and gain a heart of wisdom.

Eventhough a breakup is not or might not be the best but unity with bloodshed, rising crime level, neptism e.t.c is defnitely not the way to go.
PoliticsRe: What Hasn't GEJ Done In 10 Months Of Being The President. by asorocker: 3:41pm On Apr 03, 2011
The power problem has been there since 1990 , so why blame GEJ for it. OBJ spent 8 years and couldn't solve it , Abacha 5 years , GEJ and Abdulsalmi 1 year plus , so the blame is not GEJ but OBJ's blame
PoliticsRe: What Hasn't GEJ Done In 10 Months Of Being The President. by asorocker: 3:35pm On Apr 03, 2011
why not contend with a weak leader whom you can control and who will listen to you than a strong leader whom you can't control and who can not listen to you.

 Scenari 1

In 1967 , Awolowo had 2 options of backing 1 nigeria and opting out of uniong , he chose the former for the immediate gains of the post of VeePee and finance minister, he used that post to enrich his people and himself through the indigenisation decree.
Today most of the compaines they invested in are comatose and unprofitable (vono, dunlop ,unilever).

Lesson 1 immediate gains might become losses in future.

    Scenario 2

In 1983 MKO Abiola , because of some differences he had with his party leadership sponsored a coup against an elected democratic government ,10 years later his own election was truncated and his dreams ended in his grave. Today the same person whom MKO used now(Buhari) wants to try what MKO could not do.

Lesson 2 what ever a man sows he will reap.

Whom would you vote a former police man whose only achievement was to humiliate the political opponents of his principal.
The police force is the most corrupt organisation.

Or a former soldier , who is so erratic that he ordered soldiers in 1982 to invade a soveriegn country , chad . Even Abacha , the worst dictator nigeria ever had could contemplate that. ( Buhari might not be controllable like Abacha)

Or a former University lecturer , who has been loyal to his bosses and has rode on the path of divine providence to where he is now, ( a minority of minorities ascending the throne)

A stitch in time saves 9, vote wisely.

Don't be carried away by the post of VeePee today . The VP of today might not be as lucky as the VP of yesterday. The presido is wiser today. Remember O.O Diya.
PoliticsRe: North Beware -The Un/West Would Back A Rebel/MEND/Biafra Unprising In The South by asorocker: 9:31pm On Mar 19, 2011
Really the ohaneze intelligentia must be light years of their contemporaries Ralph Uwaechue certainly deserves a nobel peace price for his fore sight.
And no igbo is running for either presido or Veepee

No wonder massob backed GEJ

Deal might have been concluded and we are waiting for the emergence of Africas super power.

As I am posting this libya is divided into 2 countries Tripoli under Ghadaffi and Benghazi under the rebels.

The southern sudan is divided between 2 countries

Little wonder GEJ shunned the debate

Time is running out on Nigerians and their old order.
PoliticsRe: Nairaland Will Be A Graveside After The Elections - True Or False by asorocker: 4:29pm On Mar 19, 2011
If nigeria will indeed fight another war after the election like some people are envisaging then nigerian people did not learn anythung from the first civil war.
Some people even wish for a full blown war , thinking it will be like the first war, where it was we against them igbos, and inspite of all the world did to support us , we spent 3 years with heavy casualties to stop them.

Some of us don't ever call to mind what has happened in Sudan, ivory coast and libya.
The 60s is not going to be like the 2011 , all who expect the world to keep thinking in 1 direction is deluded.

In the 60s it was arm the central government to stop the country from disintegrating against all odds and against human right violations , today it is impose no fly zones allow for free demonstrations n give room for referendum.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Pledges To Establish Airports In 36 States by asorocker: 9:52am On Mar 19, 2011
Gej intention to build an airport in all 36 states even though his intentions were good, can best be discribed as over zealousness. Even though some states need an air strip and not an airport some states like bayelsa , aba , anambra need full fledged airports while states like benue , oyo , ondo , kaduna need their airports downgraded to air strips .

some other state like zamfara , taraba , kebbi need new air strips.

Concerning the universities some
state don't need universities while some state like imo, anambra, delta ( high literacy states ) need new universities or rapid expansion of old varsities.

GEJ is still the best option for now.
I wonder what new thing buhari or ribadu can actually do for a country that has moved from high risk to failing.

For those who chose Obj over buhari in 2003 and yaradua over buhari, una good morning for waking up in march 2011 .

Why not rather ask GEJ to step down for his vice than ask some whom you rejected all this while to be elected.

PoliticsRe: Will Yorubas support Buhari/Ribadu without Bakare/Adeola? by asorocker: 10:04pm On Mar 12, 2011
GEJ. Must win the 2011 polls , this is the closest the nigerdeltan has come to power and if anybody for any reason brings the egypt and libyan factor then the south sudan counter factor will be played. Let no body decieve him self that he can eat his cake and still have it.

If somebody benefits from zoning and after benefitting from zoning now wants to destroy zoning , then the person must be the biggest joker .
If zoning dies then rigging , census inflation and removing ethnicity and religion from census ( stealing other tribes population ) must die too. Not when it favors anybody some people choose to believe in zoning.
PoliticsRe: Will Yorubas support Buhari/Ribadu without Bakare/Adeola? by asorocker: 8:00pm On Mar 12, 2011
This same Buhari was rejected by the SW media in 2003 and 2007 , he was labelled a bygot and a fanatic, today 2011 he has been accepted and even has a SW running mate , Bakare.

I really do not think a chameleon stands any chance of becoming a croc so soon.

For those who ask igbos and south south to leave the SW and migrate back to their zone. Why not rather suggest a referendum more over since when did being in lagos become being in SW .

Make no mistakes about this, until lagos ceases to be the commercial capital of nigeria igbos/Nigerdeltans will not cease to transact business in lagos.

If you have a problem with the above then push for a referendum.
PoliticsRe: Will Yorubas support Buhari/Ribadu without Bakare/Adeola? by asorocker: 6:31pm On Mar 12, 2011
Why use operation totality to lure GEJ to contest only to turn around and abandon him when he has declared on the funny reason that he called AC N leaders rascals

Why use if by ommission or commission to lure Ojukwu to seccede and turn around to abandon him when he has declared on the funny reason that he invaded ore on route to lagos

The same pattern the same game but different players . I am hoping the niger deltans will learn from this and that their oil will not turn to abandoned oil wells.

The complexity of Nigerias food chain is getting more complex each day , the hausa/fulani's crocodile attitude has enabled them to remain on top of the food chain, while the yorubas with a vulture / hyena attitude has pulled along the north scavenging any thing the predator leaves behind for them.

Can the igbos and the nigerdeltan continue with their cheetah mentality of working extra hard for their prey and living to hunt forr another day or do they need to change their food chain attitude and move up the food chain.

Let him who has eyes see.
PoliticsRe: N/west, S/west’s Voting Population Worries Jonathan by asorocker: 11:02am On Mar 12, 2011
Plz what happened to operation Totality could it be that operation Totality was to Lure Gej to contest and after he has declared then betray him by fielding VPs to Buhari and Ribadu.

We hope the operation totality will not end up as abandoned oil wells ( abandoned property)
PoliticsRe: Eastern Nigeria Should Not Vote For Jonathan by asorocker: 1:08am On Mar 11, 2011
As long as there is no better alternative to GEJ , I think GEJ should be voted. Nobody is perfect.

Buhari would have done worse remember putting shagari under house arrest and living Ekwueme to rot in jail.

Ribadu would have done worst , remember his anti corruption war where he specialised only in terrorising SE , middle belt and SS Governors leaveing SW and NW and NE to enjoy their loot and what do we have today , the master looter is his political godfather.

My greatest fear about nigeria , is not that nigeria will go down or is going down but that a lot of innocent people who didn't want to have anything with nigeria's planlessness and lack of direction will go down with nigeria even though they wanted to opt out at the beginning.

Sending militants to study abroad is more like a reward for defeating nigerian army in the last militancy battle in niger delta
PoliticsRe: Libyan Rebel Flag Looks Similar To The Biafran Flag by asorocker: 11:32pm On Mar 10, 2011
50 years after Biafra, how come the western powers are backing the libyan rebels and imposing a no fly zone in the region even when nothing much is happening there but in the case of Biafra rather than remain neutral supported Nigeria 100% against the Biafran rebels even when civilians were targets and hunger was used by inept and ineffective Nigerians to torment women and children.
BusinessRe: 2011 Forbes Rating: Aliko Dangote Ups Wealth To 14 Billion Dollars by asorocker: 7:57am On Mar 10, 2011
How come an igbo man is not on the list ?

Very good question !!!

Let's look clinically at how Nigerian billionaires are made .

Dangote ; he was an ordinary cement and rice importer until 1987 when the head of state - ibrahim Babangida banned the importation of rice in the country and after several months he allowed Dangote to import ships loads of cement .

Ever since then Dangote has been an AGIP = any govt in power ,he was so close to abacha that his younger brother died with Abachas son in a plane crash. He was part of the people who bankrolled OBJ first term, second term , the aborted third term and yaraduas term.

OBJ rewarded him and Otedola with PH refineries at give away prices.

Mike Adenuga; he is not as rich as people think he is , he is a front man for IBB and Atiku. CIL which later metamorphosed to GLo was started with some wrongly sindicated Govt fund from PTDF running into some millions of dollars , which was ordered to be deposited in. TIB ( a failed south west bank) by Atiku , later the same money was syndicated to Glo as loan by TIB, the EFCC upon hearing this looked the other way and today TIB is a failed bank.

Ever wondered why the PHCN and refineries don't work in nigeria, then you might be in for the biggest shock of your lives.
The Nigerian Billionaires bought over all the downstream petroleum companies Con oil, MRS, AP, these companies to stay afloat must import fuel in to the country and for the fuel to sell people must use generators and for people to use generators then the PHCN must not work.

Questions I have Nigerians

1 how come during OBJ's reign no serious attempt was made to put PHCN into good operation despite the fact that the Bola Ige (who died mysteriously planned as far back as 2001 to put NEPA in shape.

2 how come the refineries never worked in OBJ's tenure instead the petrol pump price increased from 70k to =N= 55

3 how come all the overnite billionaires: Dangote, Otedola,Jimoh ibrahim,Adenuga made their billions during OBJ's tenure

Is someone still reading ?
PoliticsRe: Kanu Asks Fg To Absorb Biafran Scientists by asorocker: 11:43pm On Mar 09, 2011
The civil war was a battle between 3 rivals , the reasons for the civil war are still here with us today.

The igbos  recovered in the face of enmity , intimdiation , tribal hatred ( remember the 20 pounds issues, abandoned property and indigenisation decree)
The middle belters who were at the giving end in the 60s are now at the receiving end.

The igbos don't seem to have moved on and have partly recovered their lost heritage eventhough individualism is not favouring them The hausas and yorubas who obviously won the battle but not the war aren't better off than the people they claim to have won.

A brief analysis of the the north and south west

The north simply have not been able to get anything right , from tribal / religous crises on a monthly basis to the Almajiri syndrone,it seems to me that the violence and deprivation which the north wrecked on the east has finally found a home in the north.

The south west despite not having suffered any human disaster like erosion , sunami , religous / ethnic crisis , genocide, militancy, even kidnapping, has not not been able to excel in any thing.
The industries which they commandered like the banking , entertainment , education, sports
Media has been overtaken by the SS and SE.
It also seems to me that the backwardness which they intended for their fellow southerners have found a home in their region.
PoliticsRe: Kanu Asks Fg To Absorb Biafran Scientists by asorocker: 10:40pm On Mar 09, 2011
Sometimes I really wish I could understand Nigerians.

It was because of Tribal hatred that the first and second coup was carried out .

The same tribal hatred led to the massacre and killing of igbos all over the non eastern part of Nigeria.

The same tribal hatred led to the civil war and the wicked 20 pounds policies .

Tribal hatred is also responsible for 99% of all the riots , crises and killings going on.

And 50 years you still believe in living together in a united Nigeria and resist any and every  attempt for the people you hate to opt out.

Are you people not tired yet , the people you hate have come from their devastated status more than 50 years ago  and have caught up and overtaken you and you are still hating them.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Ohanaeze Lists Conditions For Fashola’s Endorsement by asorocker: 3:08pm On Mar 05, 2011
Yorubas got lagos on a platter as the northerners moved the capital to Abuja

Lagos seems to be the last hope of the yorubas instead of ibadan , they can't be proud of ibadan because ibadan is nothing more than a slump ( the dirtiest capital in nigeria), the other south west states are glorified LGAs

If this present fear of yorubas losing lagos to igbos who are just 46% of lagos degenerates to schism and cold war and possibly a real war , the yorubas risk losing lagos. And you will not likely match igbos in a war where other tribes in Nigeria remain neutral.

Because lagos based businesses like oil companies, banks , telecommunication companies , insurance, embassies will relocate to abuja at the slightest signs of unrest .

The north having lost political power will encourage the companies to remain in abuja and remain neutral in the event of war between the igbos and yorubas because they are eperiencing the same thing in jos.
And it will give them opportunity to leverage economically.

Also the yorubas are risking their port monopoly to Nigerdelta the slightest miscalculation by yorubas will have Niger delta ports being dredged and made useable by the FG

What then will the south west have when they lose their port monopoly to Nigerdelta and the few multinationals to Abuja when they could have gained all by allowing lagos state to evolve from a yoruba city to a world metropolis.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria To Buy Buses From China, When We Have 2 Bus Manufacturing Company by asorocker: 12:00am On Feb 27, 2011
The chinese products is not cheap in the long run more money will be spent in spares and servicing.

The Igbos will have to do some economic integration to sell their cars locally among ibos first and next with their neigbhours in south south and north central , then next all over the country
PoliticsRe: Effiong's Thoughts On The Civil War by asorocker: 7:51pm On Feb 24, 2011
The unwarranted killings that drove Ojukwu to declare the state of Biafra is still going on in the jos / benue region, however they are yet to seccede and the FG is still standing aloof not able to save the situation,

Ojukwu rather than seccede had 4 possible options
1.  either fought off the hausa fulani mutinous soldiers or
2. have with drawn all the igbos in the north to the east or
3. have simply kept quiet and allowed igbos in the north to face what jos/benue people are facing to day or
4. even have abandoned his duty post and fled like Ogundipe.

Any of the options taken would have resulted to him being replaced by another officer probably a Nigerdeltan or middle belter and either being sacked or retired.

Probably that was what led him to seccede . For those blaming him, I know ojukwu wasn't perfect but what more could he have done to save that dicey situation.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria To Buy Buses From China, When We Have 2 Bus Manufacturing Company by asorocker: 5:58pm On Feb 22, 2011
This is economic warfare in progress, the combatants are no longer fighting with guns and miltary hardware but with economic policies skewed against their victims and other scorched earth policies.

The victims should channel their cries towards smarter business concepts and models .

The east should forget nigeria for now and work towards an intgrated economy . The chinese and the indians and germans use this policies.

If all easterner can buy and use products made locally and the rest of nigeria to keep importing made in china and india that will be fine . The east does not need Nigeria to survive as examplified between 1967 and 1970 rather Nigeria needs the east to survive.
