I remember so vivid then how ecstatic I was in God's presence. Full of life and joy, in fact led praises in youth gatherings. So it becomes quite unbelievable how vast things have changed over the course of three years, and how well I personally have changed.

The beginning of this I cannot pinpoint. However, the causes I can suggest. Over the years I have become an active thinker with logic dominating most of my reasonings. These registered quite a lot of dissonance in what I used to belief and what reality presents as same it has helped in understanding the universe and God purpose for humanity, and what he is doing to achieve this despite the human race being unappreciative. Also, my not so interested in many things and zero emotional level could have also contributed to the lack of Joy in God's presence, since Joy is positively heightened emotion. This then stands not the problem: "My inability to make use of my gift."

As a thinker I do so well in the line of writing, so the gift of writing which is intellectual I exhibit without restraint despite my personality, in fact it favours it. My other gift which propels this piece is the gift of worship: I am a songwriter and singer.

Unable, is the verb that relates to this gift. Of course I try my best going to church despite my so restrained spectrum of interest. That wouldn't be a problem, the problem is the joy is not so much there: the need to be part of what they do. I see choristers sing and every time I wish I can be part of that, sing with them to the God of my fathers. The gift is there, I have written hundreds of songs, taught couples in the past, still write, just I can't exhibit the will to sing or teach them any longer. I am approaching zero level of interest in spiritual activities. Conflicting is I still love God having understand his plan for humanity. So the author is not an, and can never be an atheist. This is evident in my coming novel "A Loveline" (I will like you read it).


So, if anyone knows how, and how and well, well and good, efficient practical not spiritually placed steps to exercise this music skills of mine in God's presence as I expressly do here with my writing skills, I will be glad to see it shared.

The clerics noted that the hardship in the country

administration for the current economic crisis in
the country.

The communiqué read, “It is difficult to deny that

say that we as government and people of Nigeria
do not seem to know how to confront our
challenges.

“After nearly two years of the current
administration, Nigerians should no longer hear
past administrations blamed for the woes of the
present.”

“Our present governments, especially at Federal
and State levels, have had enough time to
demonstrate the capability to bring about the
changes promised to Nigerians.

“It is no longer news that Nigerians are truly
suffering. Some of this can be understandable
under a recession, however, there ought to be
clear signs in national life by now that the
government and people of our country are truly
working to bring things under control.

“Regrettably there is not much evidence of this,
currently. Instead, there is a growing sense of
desperation in the general populace, that the much
expected change has been slowed down.

“This unfortunate situation provokes general
badwill manifested in the current proliferation of
false information, violent clashes, calls for the
break-up of Nigeria and pervasive criminality. It is
necessary and urgent to restore the confidence of
all Nigerians in the Nigerian nation.

“We call on the government at all levels in Nigeria
to continue to optimize strategies to bring about
positive change in the nation.

“As things stand, much of the government’s
strategies do not seem to be working well. The
campaign against corruption seems to be losing
steam as convictions are rare and the initial
recovery of stolen funds has slowed down.

“The reform of the power sector is at a standstill
with only some parts of Nigeria experiencing
better or constant supply of electricity; road
infrastructure is not improving much. Boko Haram
insurgency, which seemed to be the nation’s main
security concern, has been largely reduced, its
occasional attacks and the alleged Fulani
herdsmen clashes with local communities seem
to cancel out whatever gains can be celebrated in
security.

“The freefall of the naira is another force tightening
the noose around the neck of ordinary Nigerians,
reducing their purchasing power and complicating
their woes even further. So far, the effort of
government to shore up this major issue can only
be described as token and much more needs to
be done in these different sectors.”

The communiqué also stated, “We condemn the
needless loss of life in the Southern Kaduna crisis,
which has confirmed an impression that
government is lackadaisical in responding to the
needs of some sections of the nation. This
impression should not be allowed to take firm
root. Government exists for all and must never be
seen to favour any group or ignore the needs of
another. We admonish the government to be more
proactive in protecting the life and property of
Nigerians.

“We appeal to all men and women of goodwill to
help the needy and all those affected by the crisis.
We acknowledge the recent effort of the Federal
government in providing a number of jobs and
giving some welfare packages to some poor
citizens of Nigeria.

“We urge the government to do more in this
regard and ask State Governments to replicate this
programme in the States.”

are you sure you are a religion student ? The people in Deut. 12:29 - 32 , they were sacrificing their sons and daughter to other gods, but in christianity, it is the other way round. The only good work needed to be done has already been done and dusted by God himself, christ dying for sinful men.

Those were laws given to the children of the Nation of ISRAEL to serve as their constitution and was written by Moses.

Never do those verses apply to non-israelites, same way Nigerian laws do not apply to Americans. Neither do they apply to Christians, except if you don't know what Christianity is.

Quite true. Christians though, are more open to adapt the meaning of their scriptures to modern societal constructs. While Islam in the other hand, sets rather specific and unchangeable laws that admittedly aren't compatible with modern times. And one of those laws tells us that if a girl has reached puberty, then she is ready for marriage.

Is it OK we adjust bible to conform to our time/situation?

Is the Omniscience God and creator of mankind unaware of man ability and advancement in science?

Is all knowledgeable and powerful Lord unable to provide mankind with standard manual that can stand the test of times?
