yacha77: Thanks you boss, that's exactly how I wrote my SOP, I want to forward it to you so u can see where I might have gone wrong. Another sponsor can be a third party?. I didnt mention the investment in my Sop but only added proof. Should I have money in my account instead of paying tuition because flight schools have crazy refund policies so even them do not encourage payments before visa( I'm going to a flight school and not a regular uni). Pay your tuition fee cause it’s clearly stated in your refusal grounds (Half or 1 year). clear that ground real quick And again, if you have a family picture Take a clean sheet of paper and gum it on top of the picture then you draw a line and name each of everyone of you in the picture (including your late parents) Yes co sponsor can be a third party. The commitment is the main thing here. Pay your half tuition fee or send your living expenses to your account |

sashaa: Congratulations! And thanks for all the details you have provided.
My question is on proof of funds as I'm also planning to apply as a self sponsored applicant. Is it okay to leave your funds in fixed deposit instead of liquidating it? I noticed you did that. I was planning to liquidate my money market investment and move the funds to my savings account. Also, what's RSA? Please if you can liquidate it please do. If you have good amount in your personal closing balance then don’t liquidate it. And make sure you do the justice in your SOP |

Qudkom: Your denial is simple and also complicated. Using an estate account signifies funds that are available for general upkeep for you and your family. The fact that the funds is also been accessed by third parties aside from you means anything can happen and you might not be able to fund yourself in canada. My advice would be this: 1. You have to pay your 1st semester school fees. 2. Have a substantial amount transferred into a savings account to show the money is readily available. 3. I'll suggest your mum write a compelling letter of sponsor; something emotional probably your late dad (May his soul rest in peace) always wanted you to get the best of education and if he was alive he'd be proud to sponsor you..... I hope you get the drift, this people are human beings like us. 4. Attach a Family picture showing your late dad and his death certificate 5. If you have a family business that's registered you can use it as part of your home ties. If you are going for a management/business or any innovative program then you can add it to your SOP that you want to add innovative ideas to the family business and lift the pressure of your mum etc... and that your dad would be proud.
I hope you get more advice from this forum. Good luck. P.S: It is left to you to proove to the VO that there woll not be pressure on your family to sponsor an expensive educational program in Canada. You have to attach proof that your siblings and all are doing well financially and gainfully employed because the VO is skeptical that the pressure might be too much. It is also advisable to have funds in traditional banks that can be easily verified than investment companies. You’ve nailed it sir@yacha77 Liquid cash is more important to the eyes of these VOs If you’re submitting any investments Make sure you do the justice in Your SOP Calculate everything with Oanda in your SOP For example my full tuition is C$ blah blah blah and the living cost estimate is C$ blah blah blah bring the total amount required for the programme to C$ blah blah blah out of which C$ blah blah blah has already been paid to my school bringing the balance of my tuition to C$ blah blah blah and the living cost remains C$ blah blah blah bringing the outstanding tuition fee and living cost to C$ blah blah blah. In support of my application i submitted brothers account, my account and, please add a co sponsor. (State the closing balance of each of the account using Oanda in Cad) A estate investment account Valued at N 15 already matured and convert it to Cad using Oanda Saving account with (Mention the bank name) N 3 million naira as at the date of my application (also put the amount in CAD using Oanda exchange) (Your personal account) Saving account with Keystone Bank Plc with closing balance of N 300k as at the date of my application. Also in Oanda. “Now this is the work, sum everything together” Therefore, the total amount of money in my sponsors account was eg 19 million as at the date of my application which is equivalent of C$ 70,288.2 using oanda exchange rate as at April 6th 2019 which is C$ 1 = N 269.20 Please get a co sponsor, pay your tuition fee (first term or 1 year) 1 year preferably Try and be emotional in your SOP about your late parents, tell the VO the promise and fulfillment you made to them by attaining your aviation dream) (Sorry for your lost) Your brother should write constructive sponsorship later (He should state the amount he’s committing to your education). If he has plenty dependent he shouldn’t list all of them in the affidavit (just 1 will do). If your brother is earning like 7 million yearly..., in your affidavits make it 15 million yearly. Then he should mention the real estate and any Auxiliary business or job with proof). Please try and get a co sponsor. Your co sponsor doesn’t need to have fortune. He should just show some commitment to your account. These are the thing I can think of right now... if there’s more, I will let you know. And again, if you have a family picture Take a clean sheet of paper and gum it on top of the picture then you draw a line and name each of everyone of you in the picture (including your late parents) |

ILoveDLord: Please don't mind the typo errors. If any thing is not clear let me know.
NOTE I had to give all these details in order to answer as many questions that people could have with respect to
Application for Admission and follow up Medicals Police certificate Biometrics Documents required. ----------------------------------
Please if you have any questions kindly ask them here, I may be able to answer your or someone else could answer. Sorry I may not be able to respond to private messages for personal reasons.
Just a few more notes
---------------------------------------
English language test is not usually required form Nigerians by most Canadian schools. Your degree or transcripts should state that English language was the language used during your studies in Nigeria. If not, your academic reference letter from your lecturer or HOD should state it clearly. That was what I did. Even though I had wrote IELTS for different reason. Or you get a letter from your registrar confirming that English language was the language of instruction during your study in Nigeria.
When. I was filling the cic form that asked if had taken English language test, I said yes, but did not attach my IELTS test result. ---------------------------
For the CIC IMM family information form, I filled the birth dates and addresses and other information of my parents and siblings but I did not attach the birth certificates, Id cards, intl passports or pictures.
---------------------------
Landed properties : I did not submit any land document, my documents were not ready and for my parents land, the only document available is just a receipt. I did think it was necessary. ----------------------------
Police cert in Abuja was 10k Naira
----------------------------- Let me thank everyone here who has been helping to provide information and guidance. I found some the information helpful. Congratulations man |

A P P R O V A L - A L E R T.
Chineke azawerem epere Otito dili chukwu
From Saturday June 9th 2018 to friday 05 April 2019 300 days 42 weeks 6 days 9 months 26 days This visa is nothing but God and it’s a intellectual war between me and the VO that handled my application.
I want to use this measure to thank honorable justwise without you, this thread wouldn’t be possible. Thank you sir for the opportunity. I feel you don’t like me but I love you.
I also want to thank the man I value and treasure sir Frankrobben. Bro you be angel (no too much talk)

I want to thank anita and deborah thanks for your prayers, I will do everything within my power to congratulate you girls in Canada.
Mcobex bbcue, Mr j, justmellow (English man) and the rest..., thank you for your selfless contribution.
The one and only Naijaforeigner, this guy is Phenomenal thank you for your selfless service I’ve leaned a lot from you.
Bracha thank you so much for your selfless service. Thank you. Fine girl with the good heart.
To every hopefuls don’t give up on your dreams.
To all May June and July applicant slide in my pm, I have a hint for you guys.
I actually went to anifowoshe on Wednesday. The person I met just like me at first sight and he told me the hint then he prayed for me and wish me good luck. I may go back there and tell him thank you.
This visa suffered me. The day I did my biometrics, VAC was still working till 8 pm that day, I left home around 7 and left VAC 7 pm. I was sleeping on steering... I almost had an accident that very day but God came through for me. So whenever I remember that day and imagine why my visa is still pending, tears will drop from my eyes and I will look up to God.
I contacted more than 150 MPs (senators) in Canada then on Wednesday I gathered mind and drive straight to Anifowoshe.
I was in the movies watching “Hotel Mumbai” as soon as they finished the movie, I saw the alert in my email address.
I will recommend you guys to watch that movie and thank me later.
God is indeed faithful Nara ekele chineke. May June July, don’t lose hope, your visa is sooner. Don’t forget to hit my pm. “God answers prayers”
God bless everyone that is reading this my success story. Whatever you ask from God, don’t give up, he knows your worries. He will answer your prayer.
“When God wants you to grow, he makes you uncomfortable”
Please don’t mind my typo error. I am so eegxited. |

makano: Hello This is to my fellow May/June/ July applicants. What can really be done for this people to actually attend to our applications.. When I applied last year July, I was thinking this Canadian student permit was a first come first serve procedure, but its obvious I was totally wrong.. Peeps applying 2 months ago are already getting approvals, while ours is still being ignored.. What can really be done to make changes, cos its really tiring and frustrating for ur application to be 8-10 months without any response form them.. And please no one should get me wrong when i said peeps that apply 2 months ago are getting approvals, am not envious of them(at all, its actually giving me hope of my approval) but if they were in our shoes, they will feel same.. So my fellow comrades what can really be done for us to see changes.. Does any one have direct social contacts of the immigration minister or prime minister for us to vent our complains, or what can really be done... Please lets come up with a suggestion and follow suit.. Cos the truth be told, this wait is getting annoying to be honest.. Peace My chairman, I will humbly suggest all May/June and July hopefuls should come together and go straight to the office of the consulate in VI (VAC may not work out) At these stage of Distress and knowingly frustration from London VOs, no security/police will stop May/June and July from seeing any VO in the consulate. Then the VO should explain why London VOs are keeping the applications up till date... Or if they are too busy for Nigerians they should send the applications to Nairobi office or rather collect the application details of people that came for it. This is my 2kobo suggestion |
