Diploma TRV and Coop work permit This is indeed a fabulous news for many people cause the diploma has been a barrier for some time now. (there head done dey correct). Please answer the following question ~What is your travel history? ~Who's your sponsor (parents), or self-sponsored? ~Tell us the range of amount in your sponsor’s account. If you don't want to say the exact amount, just the range will do eg 15-17 million ~How did you convince the VO in your SOP? What did you do differently? ~Did you change your program? Or the same program with your BSC? ~ where do you work in Nigeria? And How's the pay like? My post was referring to your comment that information sharing between US and Canada is a must while other countries is random...that is what I'm questioning.
Why do I have to pm you or apologise?

The only instance you can apply for visa from a foreign country is if : you have a residence permit. Or work permit. Other than that. They will reject you based on immigration status in country of residence. neverlosehope: Also, if you have a study visa which is a just a temporary visa, you can apply from that country.

GCMS Note is here. I laughed so hard after going through it. All I can say is the VOs are humans and fatigue truly set it at times. From my note,I saw where 2 VOs forwarded my application to other VOs for review because of workload and fatigue. Finally the VO that treated my application in Kenya said my application is Vague and not well documented. Well,it’s understandable because I submitted too many docs simply because these were the same docs I submitted 2 years ago when I applied for visiting visa. In order not to be accused of hiding any info, I resubmitted all the docs I gave them in the past. As it is now,how can I tackle this issue.
Austacus, sleekysoft,adebayo2296,frankrobbn1 please help ooo. Admission deferred to September already Please if you can see this, kindly screenshot the primary/lead VO remarks so that I can help you further and maybe attract more people to see into this case For the workload and fatigue, I don't know where you got that from cause Canadian visa application is mostly handled by TWO VOs or more (though the lead/primary VO is the main thing). They do work sharing with VOs. No one can tell how they work but they do work. Nonetheless, they forwarded your application to their colleagues (it's not because of fatigue or workload) They were assigned for it by IRCC you can check it in your gcms assessment details Your current/next application may suffer adversely if the previous information and documents related to your background contradict your next visa application. |

sillysassysally: TRV processing time update 26/03/2019
Congratulations to all those who got their approvals this month!
We now have a sample of 18 hopefuls. Please i would encourage those that have applied this year to please share their timeline (which should include; the application date, application route, biometrics request date, date biometrics was done, medical request date, date medicals was done, date medicals was passed, and the current status). If you don't have all this information, you can just share the ones that you have and update the rest as you receive it.
This information would help us study or attempt to establish a pattern to how CIC operates.
We have made attempts to "calculate" processing times. (Please note that this is just an average based on the little sample we have. Your processing time may be faster or slower than the average). As we get more samples, I want to believe our calculations would be more "accurate".
Finally, If there is anything you think i should add to the data or calculate from the data, please share with me. I must commend on you, you're doing an amazing job. This is so sooo solid. God bless you. |

Abbeyme: Hello Gentlemen and ladies.
Can a Banker's reference letter showing available balance be used instead of a Statement of Account?
Information urgently needed pls.. Does reference letter show account balance? It does not. Which one is banker’s reference letter? Does that one show account balance? (Please educate me) Cause the bank reference letter or letter of recommendation, I know, is a document contain information about your history and relationship with your bank. The letter speak to your financial responsibility and stability and demonstrate your ability to maintain a healthy, working relationship with a financial institution Hence banks only provide reference letters if you are a client in good standing if a bank maintains a contentious or unprofitable relationship with you eg lien amount, overstay unpaid loan, fraud or whatsoever... no incentive for providing such a letter exists. I don’t know what you mean by banker’s reference letters but I am certainly sure you don’t need it all you need is your sponsor’s reference letter and 6 months account statement from the bank or your personal account statements and reference letter. PS: if you’re using a third party sponsor eg aunty, uncle, etc please make sure you submit reference letter not just account statement. To avoid VO suspicion on fraudulent account statement even before they start venting the documents. First impression matters a lot. (I’ve seen a case like this before, it was like a battle). Reference letter is also important even if you’re using your parents/pa as sponsor. |

Frankrobbn1: Hello gr8full2God,
I noticed you have asked this question countless times on this thread and no one attempted to answer you. Sorry about that!.
First and foremost, I'll start by congratulating you on your admission into the university. In respect to your questions, Age has never pose to be a point at issue to a study visa to Canada so long as you can carefully account for your study gaps and explain reasonably what you've been up-to until this date, What made you not to further your education until now?, What makes you think that you can cope with the stringent Canadian system of education if paradventure you're been extended the privilege to study in Canada? All of these must be well substantiated in a logical modus operandi in your SOP. Taking into account the fact that you're going for a computer science program which is reasonable in light with your OND certificate in computer engineering, your chances are halfway. For this reason, I would suggest you say after your OND, you had too many options for studies but was not sure which one to choose. You never wanted to settle for something less just for the sake of earning a degree. You made so many efforts to further your undergraduate studies here in Nigeria but all attempts proved abortive as you were been offered a program you had no interest in. Ever since then, you've been working in the IT department as a programmer in your father's company. Your sole intention of doing this, is to spend some time in the business to understand what area that needs improvement and focus. Having worked there since 2011 till date, you discovered that the IT sector is the area that needs more improvement. With this discovery, you now made up your mind to further your studies abroad (Canada) so as to continue with your passion in the ever growing and unprecedented field of IT and potentially enhance your capabilities towards managing your father's business by applying new technologies in order to yield a remarkable result in the business and for her clients. Additionally, include professional certifications like C++, Java, Data Structure, and other programming languages... this will satisfy the visa officer that you're truly a bonafide applicant and have been following your passion since you last left school.
Attached is a screenshot from an applicant who is 51 years of age, going for a Post secondary diploma and got his study permit approved earlier last year 2018 and also an applicant on this reputable thread whose wife got approved in October, 2018 with huge study gaps. So it's very possible you can get yours as well only with a convincing letter.
On the other hand, you need to provide a notarized affidavit explaining the discrepancy between your dad's name and yours. Perhaps, you could put the blame on the typist while processing your dad's document.
Please note that the information on how you can cover up for your study gaps as drafted by me is a guide and musn't be plagiarized. . You may wish to add more/remove some points to what I have written.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to reach out here, should you require further guidance. Man like super Frankie! Man has been good since 1901 I take my hat off to you. |

95seun: The answer to this question is school dependent.
I would give the example for University of Alberta.
The amount of tuition pay is dependent on the amount of classes you enrol in and other other services you choose and you enrol in these classes manually in the sense that you’re not automatically put in a class, you enroll in the class if the space is available in addition to fulfilling all other prerequisites.
Likewise, there are numerous deadlines. There’s a deadline for fee payment after which you incur a cost for late payment, there’s also a deadline for when you can register/drop a class/classes without fee or grade penalty and there are other deadlines as the semester progresses with varying fees and grade penalties for dropping classes, these range from refund of half the fees and a grade of W (Withdrawal grade), quarter of the fees and W, to no refund and W.
Point is once it’s past the deadline for registering/dropping a class yiou are no longer entitled to a full fee refund for that class as it’s assumed you are officially enrolled in class and if you miss other subsequent deadlines for withdrawal the amount of fees that you are refunded decreases. Each school has different policies so once more for the specific amount you should contact the school.
Summary is the information is probably on the schools website but if you can’t find it you should contact the admission / international department for your school regarding their policy on refunds. However, the only way you would be able to get a FULL/TOTAL refund on your fees is if you have withdrawn from all classes you were enrolled in before the deadline to withdraw from classes. And the refund itself is usually midway through the semester or at the end of the school semester / fiscal year ... if I remember right the U of A refunds in November, March and in the summer months June / July.
Hope this helps. Very correct and insightful #salute |

Franksuka: Another question i have is this:
I graduated in 2015, started working with a construction company and was posted to the same company for my NYSC until i pass out in April 2017, i left the company and co-found my own construction company(with CAC and Tax registration) in May 2017.. I have been working as a Project Manager in my Company since that time till now...Although i have a company's account (sole signatory) but i never used it in running the company because i try to avert tax from FIRS, so i use my personal accout in during all the transactions with clients...The account has a total of 7.1m...
My question is how do i present this my personal account instead of my company's account during my application.
P.S: My maternal uncle(without the same surname) is my sponsor and is willing to give out $30k on my behalf as my Dad is dead.
What documents does my uncle need to provide to show he is willing to sponsor me?
Please my good people .... I need your advice You mustn't show your company's account even if you're the main sponsor. Your uncle should show some commitment by paying your tuition fee or transferring living expenses to you. He should submit an affidavit of support, sponsorship letter, Account statement and letter of reference and his CAC or any document that shows his source of income Your finance is very good as you stand to co-sponsor yourself make sure you submit your CAC and other relevant documents that suffix your earn of living. Make sure you show a very strong relationship between you and your uncle Work more on your home tie, I will have to redirect you to this page cause the work is already done in the page. credit to frankrobbn1 https://www.nairaland.com/3948393/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/391#63425662Bless up |

Type into Google -"list of DLI Universities in Canada ",it should direct you to Canada Immigration Website.... You can check your intended school... Colleges that are attached to a university share the same DLI number. Cheers Very impressive write up. Lots of schools shares DLI lemme give some example of the schools... campion college, first nations University of Canada and Luther college are all sharing same DLI with university of Regina (meaning they are all under UR). I wouldn't want to mention DLI that ain't eligible for PGWP to avoid fear from people. Please, it's always advisable to apply for schools that are common in this thread or online. Bless you |

geofortress: Good evening gurus in the biulding.. Ive been a silent reader here but Ive learnt a lot from this thread. I pray all TRV hopeful get thier TRV with joy asap.. Going by what ive read here and learnt, I have come to realize that many ppl here were denied due to similar reasons or so.. Infact a lilttle differences from others. But I havr this questions bordering me. What is the role of career progression and the quality of DLI plays in securing the TRV. Although, most people got their TRV with entirely different background to what they are going to study. But on the issue of DLI, its like most TRV applicants from here are either going for PGD, PDC pr diploma in colleges in which only few will secure funding either half or ful while majority have to pay tuition fee upfront or deposit before they apply for TRV. I rarely see ppl with admissions in to top schools in canada like UBC, Montreal, Alberta, Quebec, Calgary and co here nut ppl going to colleges or advanced high schools.. O stand to be corrected tho.. But i guess those top school will either admit you with respect to your background and funding either partial or full for thesis based and most of them dont have much Pgd or so.. I stand to be corrected too. There are limited funding for course based in those school and if you want to pay your fee, you will be very rich.
So my point is this.. Is the quality of DLI play a role in the TRV processes or not. Because those school meant business and thier research is topnotch with funding if you merit it.. They mostly admit with funding if im correct for thesis but cant say much on course based.
Also, is there anyone here that got admiited to those top schools with funding still finding it difficult with TRV?.. Im just curious about the career progression and quality of DLI coupled with the fact that they consider other things like hometies, available funds, travel history and purpose of visit.
Any guru here should please shed more light on this... Thanks.. Im still a learner here biko.. I will answer your question in a nutshell. Some of the top-notch schools in canada requires financial capability (sponsors account statement, investment, etc) before they could grant admission to the applicant and again, the chances of admission are kinda slim, and tight that's why you hardly see Nigerians applying to the schools So surely, once you get those top-notch schools, you have a better chance than someone that picked unknown or random DLI (designated learning institute). PS: NOT ALL DLI ARE ALLOWED FOR PGWP (y’all be careful with the school you choose). I hope I answered your question Bless you |

Frank274: When this medical of a thing needed in? And what kind of sickness or infection that can Lead to visa refusal? It’s either you do an upfront medical or The visa office will ask you to complete the medical tests within 30 days of receiving information from them. Once the tests are complete, you would be required to submit the test results or medical slip along with the application form to CIC (though the hospital will also submit the result to CIC). Depending on the results of the medical exam, the immigration officials will decide which candidates are inadmissible and those who must get the chance of immigrating to Canada. The CIC medical examination usually includes: ~Physical examination like eye, nose, height &weight, heart, lungs, and other organ check-ups (you’ll be asked to lie on your back and the doctor will just press the abdomen area in 2–3 places to check if they find tenderness or anything abnormal) And also the doctor will Listen to your breathing using a stethoscope ~Blood pressure ~Chest X-rays ~Blood tests for HIV and Syphilis ~Urine tests IRCC would approve the application if the applicant doesn’t meet those medical conditions mention by the Canadian public health department. Hence, it would be better if the applicant clearly mention their medical condition to the CIC medical panel physician. The physician will carry out the necessary medical tests for the applicants. It would be better if an applicant follows the instruction of the physician. For instance, issues like high blood pressure or cholesterol should be under control before going for an examination. Similarly, one shouldn’t drink alcohol 72 hours before the test. PS: tell the physician to send your medical result to your email address. I hope I answered your question Bless you. |
