hey Guys,
please I would love to know if there are universities that offer free Daycare for single moms
Apply for preschool (daycare, childcare or nursery) for your child in the province or territory where your school is located.

Good luck

Greetings to everyone,
Thanks so much for your prompt responses.

I have issues here.

In my first application, I did Biometric and I was also called for medicals in June which i did and I passes it.. was eventually refused visa on the long run.
Here is my Question, I'm ready to re-apply now and i want to know:
- will i do Biometric again (my first biometric was done less than a year ago)
- will i also do another medical ( my last medical was done less than 10 months ago)

Please i need answers to these two as i need to start my Online application today. Please help!!!
Canada new biometrics rules (fingerprints & photo) started from 31st of July 2018.
In your case, you would need to provide another biometrics. your medicals is still valid (expiration for medical is 1 year).

Good luck in your next application

Do you also know of any University that accepts 2:2 for direct Masters of Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)?
Thanks
In most universities, there are no official requirements for a masters degree. This means it is technically possible to study for a masters with a lower class degree. However, most universities prolly won’t be overly impressed by a third class degree (in particular).
Unless you have extenuating circumstances, it's possible this grade will be viewed as a reflection of your effort and dedication.
But if you are determined masters study is for you, and that you want to do it for the right reasons, there are several things you can do to give yourself the best possible chance of getting into a master's degree with second class lower
~Letter of intent (should be topnotch)
~Resume
~Your last two-semester results
~Job experience in the field of study
~previous Project work
~Letter of reference from your Hod, supervisor or lecturer
~ your presentation
(these are some of the criteria I can think of right now).
This means you may need to work harder to convince admissions or supervisor that you deserve a place on their course. So make sure you sell yourself well.

PS: I know of MUN but please consider different universities (do your research with the hints you've gotten from this thread).

While shooting your shots in universities for masters degree consider applying for PGD/C too.

Bless up

Thanks a lot. I also heard most universities in Canada don’t offer Post Graduate Diploma. It is colleges that do PGD. How true is this? Thanks
They do, and it depends on your field of study. lemme help you with some of the universities that offers pgd

Trent university
University of the Fraser valley
University of Alberta
University of Waterloo
Dalhousie university
University of Guelph
University of Saskatchewan
Kwantlen polytechnic university

Do your research about the schools and for more schools.

Hello Everyone. I came back here to encourage someone especially May/June/July 2018 applicants. I'm of the opinion that all these applicants should have patient with the London Visa Office provided your application is confirmed to be treated there.

My reasons; I also submitted SOWP and TRV application for my wife and daughter respectively on the 15th of May, 2018 precisely. Because I'm here in Canada, I was able to use 2 MP's office to make enquiries for our application after 7 months of no update nor replies from CIC both in Lagos and London. Applied for 2 GCMS note in October and December last year and no updates of any sort on the note except many emails and enquiries sent to them.

Our Findings: London Visa office is overwhelmed with so much applications especially from Nigerian, because as @ 2018 Jan - July thereabout, most of the online route application were all transmitted to London office, coupled with PR applications, study permits, visitor visa and many other things angry Dont be surprise, This was the information given to us after 9 months in Feb 2019. Many applications from last year are still on queue for eligibility review either primary or secondary review.

My Message: Last week after 10 months of waiting, we got PPr for my wife and Daughter. a friend also got SP approved after 10 months. so, TRV hopeful as the name sound so you should be. please if London have not updated you, I bet you it will be approval. if they are gonna deny you, it will have happened before now.

Just to encourage you guys from last year MAY/JUNE/JULY 2018.

A big thanks to Frankrobbn1. God bless you bro.
Congratulations to you and your family!

Please kindly share with us the email address of Immigration minister Ahmed Hussen, (when I called them, they promised to call me back but they never did)
And again email address to the office of the Prime minister Justin Trudeau,
Is there a way one could contact the local MP Without going through fax?

Thanks

Guy, how did u know wat I have been thinking...I have tot about this, prayed over it..came to this exact conclusion..if they want to deny you, they would have done it since but yet it's still running..i just told myself to calm down and watch God do HIS work..this visa is yours...My sisters have told me bro, this visa will show...it's already obvious they can't deny u, just delaying the inevitable which is an approval...to me I just see this as a test from God to make me show more commitment to HIM and I will... My advice to my fellow comrades is, be strong, think less about it..do wat u feel u can do and leave the rest to God Almighty..
You guys are amazing grin grin grin

Thanks.. today is the fourth day tho.
You did an upfront medical therefore they will update it when it's time for them to do it.

Had it been they instructed you for a medical, it would take 3-4 business days to be updated in your MyCIC account.

You have nothing to worry about.

Keep faith

No changes has been made in documents requested..its we Nigerians that actually do submit those documents out of desperation and to be frank we cant tell if people are often accepted or reject on the account of those documents.I have read on this forum about a study permit granted with just 6.5mil SOA wit no asset ,No tuition payment or transfer of money into anyones account. On the Cic website I watched a video on directions on how to applied for a Study permit. On the video it was well instructed that no document which is unavailable on the document checklist should be submitted. But we do go on submitting uneccessary nd document uncalled for , probably these are the things that cause suspicions and delay. Its even on the website that tuition should not be paid before visa decision is made but we often neglect these things.
Nah Nah Nah!
What you saw on the CIC website is applicable to the whole wide world. Huh!
Every country has its measurement of how they handle their visa.
:
Someone from the UK or US or other developed countries can follow what they saw on the website and it would work just fine for them.
They can even have up to $2000 in their account and still get the visa without submitting any properties, affidavits etc. Besides some schools make it compulsory to pay tuition fee which is contrary to what CIC is saying in the official website.
:
Sorry, your claim is not kosher*

Online is better and faster
Common, it doesn't matter which route is faster anymore cause Nairobi office has started handling the two routes for a study permit.

Moreover, My answer to this question is above... @justmellow latest post.
He/she said it all.

PS: unless they've changed it back to London, accra or Lagos... Then you comparison can continue

Use the webform and choose Kenya Nairobi as your visa office.

You can also use email route but in this case, I would advise you to go through both route.

This link would direct you straight to Where you will choose the visa office

Good luck

Feb 5th, online. Though I had applied sometime in 2017 for a visitor visa due to work related travel but was denied. I did gave my UCI hence biometrics was not required at this instance
Okay then
Your application is being handled in Kenya (Whatever route you went through in).

Don't be scared... Your approval is very close to you, be ready to grab it.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Austacus: 11:15am On Mar 07, 2019
DMerciful:
Thanks
But why will they ask you to spend more money on medicals if they have not fully checked your application?
That's why medical comes last and it's very rare to be refused a visa after medical request pops out.

This bullshit started late last year cause before, once you're called for medical then its a sure bet for approval.

In your case don't panic just keep praying, you have a higher chance of approval.

If I may ask, when did you apply for your visa?

Cause Nairobi office are now in charge of both online and paper route for a student visa.

I am just waiting for the date of the interview... my resumption date is September 2019)

Have they called you for the interview?
Have they made the final decision in your application?

I Am looking forward to hearing from you sir. But if it's privy or confidential, never mind to write back.

thanks, with this statement the vo made,if I pay half or maybe 10k(full tuition is about 17k) does it prove that the vo's statement is true...that I can't pay tuition without working.
Or z it now compulsory I pay the full tuition to prove VO wrong.
U understand my question right?
If you want to go with first term tuition fee, make sure you have reasonable liquid cash in your sponsor's personal account statement.

Thence, If you want to kill it, open a dom account or tell your sponsor to send some money to your account and submit your account statement, then you address it in the SOP that your sponsor sent you the money for your second term tuition fee.

You can't do that (you only have 20 hrs to work per week as a student)

Get your visa first.

hey, how long does Gcms note usually take before it arrives via Email
It takes an average of 35 days to 40 days before you can start sending them an email.
But just hope on 1 month or less.

You asked a question yesterday concerning paying of tuition fee.

Inasmuch as paying of tuition fee is not prerequisite to visa approval.

Just to let you know all cases ain't the same.

If you check your refusal letter, it's clearly stated. the Visa officer that handled your application want you to pay your tuition fee.

So the choice is yours. (I would advise you to pay your tuition fee, then you have only two refusal ground to tackle in your next application cause travel history is not a problem).

For a better understanding, wait till you get your Gcms note.

Bless you

Try and have some patience interpreting context. I was referring to the IRCC honouring the NDDC scholarship since you implied they wouldn't honour LGA sponsorship
quote author=Austacus post=76374038]
I am talking about IRCC not school
they are two different things entirely.
Thank you, sir!

I hope you know some schools in Canada do require sponsorship?
They want to know your sponsors' capability (eg account statement, supporting documents, paying tuition fee etc) before they could approve the admission.
Anyways, bye!

Need to be bombarding emails and webforms like every week to those people
It's not about bombarding emails to them or webforms.
It's about giving them what they want or help them to haste it up.

Sending those email in act of sentiments is a waste of time cause they will ignore you or you will get the generic response.

Give them what they want and reorder for your gcms to know the progress of the application, after that, they will adjust, then you give it to them again and reorder for gcms note.

Any May / June still in the house ?
I am June 21 Still
Those applications have been sent to secondary review.
Generally, if you check your Gcms note you will see review is required that’s when the primary VO is not very clear and let's his senior decide on the matter who is more experienced and knowledgeable than him.

So if you haven’t seen your Gcms note, omo you get mind oooo. By now May/june/july hopefuls should know what they are expecting from them or what they are trying to find out.

A secondary review doesn’t take more than 6 months.
Though there's no specific processing time for secondary review.
