Boss I mean I’ve done biometrics on 3rd sept but my cic page still says we haven’t received your biometrics

Let them do their job, don't panic. it would reflect in your application.
If you want, You can send your biometric confirmation just to remind IRCC.

Tonyodg:
haha you sabi English grin this is good news he said I am satisfied you would depart Canada you know what this means just keep believing the visa is yours

Asides from his main VO, the secondary VO has seen something. if he go for the interview and he pass it, his Visa would be stamped immediately same day with his passport.

Boss, since biometrics on 3rd sept still no update from IRCC. Is it too early to think of sending a webform? Please I need to advise

You paid for it, you're entitled to ask why you haven't received a biometric request prior to 24hr of submitting your application.

Send a webform to IRCC, you will get it in no time.

It is from the GCMS notes he ordered that he got that info about interview na.. I'm just surprised at why the notes didn't explain why he needs interview

He didn't say his note doesn't explain why he needs an interview.
Eligibility: interview required.
(it's a different thing entirely on page 2).besides if his note doesn't say anything in the VOs comment.
GCMS contains more than 20 pages.
He has to trace how his application is being transferred to VOs. he will find the VO that is requesting for an interview and the document.
Then the rest is up to him. If he addresses the issue, wait till one week and apply for another gcms.

He can as well, request for an interview date.

Good day guys, gurus in the house help me decipher my gcmsnotes o, just got it today after applying since April, on the eligibility part, I saw recommend interview and I don't think Nigeria does interview for visa application. Guys pls kindly explain what does that means ?

IRCC would call you or send you an email for your interview date. There's something confusing in your application. You would be interviewed in Lagos, the interview is straightforward, go with any supporting documents. They would ask you some quick random questions in your application, answer it correctly, and be bold. Your eyes contact and body movement matters a lot. Make sure you go with your passport cause if you pass it, they would stamp your counterfoil at that spot of time. That's if you've done your medical or upfront. Sometimes, they might just refuse your visa without going for the interview or going further, sometimes they may ask you to submit some documentation to support your claims.

All these can be avoided if you apply for GCMS and tackle the concern being raised in your application.

Good luck

It's a pity in this generation, when you tell people the truth and being straightforward, they term you to be rude.

Bro, it cringes me how some of y’all use God's names.

I know ”God is the greatest above all”, he gave us the wisdom to see the foresight and avoid mistake, if you fail to do it and you call Gods name, it's a waste of time and abuse of his name.

Chief, with all due respect, this isn’t a nice thing to say at all
Truly,Everyone knows that he would most likely be denied because of lack of progression of studies. But for you to just outrightly clear him like this is a very unfair thing to do.He innocently came here for help and advice but instead of you to help him or ignore him if you’re unable to help, you decided that telling him straightforward that he’d be denied is the best thing to do.
There’s honestly no reason to be rude,If you’re unable to help him just ignore.I’m sure others would gladly help him

At least if you told him the reason why he’d ne denied,It’d be better.

Not fair to just tell someone off like that.We could all do better as regards how we treat each other on here.

I’m sorry if this comes as disrespectful.

This has absolutely nothing to do with career progression or anything related to his previous course of study.

I don't know how to spice it up to him but I will repeat it 1 million times, HE WILL NOT GET HIS VISA with PSW.

I wanted him to ask me ’why’ not YOU! Hitherto, it's not necessary anymore.

And if am given admission in the school, am I likely to get visa approval because my aunty knows the owner of the school. I don't just understand anything concerning visa stuff and all that. Thank you

Please we have to change this idea that CANADA is using your fees to save their economy. This is a big insult to Canada.

For Christ sake CANADA is a developed country. They have many ways of of making money and the number one is taxation. Any country that do taxes like Canada and England can never go broke. They have so many natural resources that they don't even touch. If you go to a territory as a tourist in YUKON you are allowed to pick gold for free. Canada makes bombardier and electric train, they have beautiful tourist attraction like honeymoon capital of the world, they have wonderland etc those places bring serious money to the country. Cause tourist comes and spends heavily then leave the country Unlike students.

The money they dish out to their citizens and refugees monthly asides from CERB is way more than the total amount that are coming From international students.

It's an insult if anyone feels Canada is using international students to save their economy. It's just like saying this to the states.

Before I sign out real quick, has anyone in NL have their application refused after receiving the AIP?
We don't do hearsay. And if you guys are using Pakistani application to debate on this issue, it's just a waste of time cause they are known to submit fake documents.

AIP might not be a sure approval but it's a whole lotta step away from being approved.

If your documents are clean and you have no criminal records or medical issue, no issue with your school. Just relax and pick your teeth with a toothpick.

Hi everyone, pls I have a question and am so sorry, my story is long.
Gurus in the house, pls help me.

I applied for study permit July 29 and I was denied yesterday.
So an agent told me that it was because I have registered for a course in my school and that the school have contacted the embassy to confirm if I have received my visa but since I dont have it, I was denied.
The reason why I was told this is because I received a message from my school that goes thus:

Dear Students,

Greetings from UR International!

Our record indicates that you have registered for the Fall 2020 term and have not yet provided us with your immigration documents. Please submit a copy of your valid Passport, Visa (if you are from a visa required country)/Study Permit, Letter of Introduction (if applicable) or Approval-in-principle letter to the UR International Office via email at international.studentservices@uregina.ca .

In order to continue with your Fall 2020 term registration, it is important to submit the aforementioned documents by Friday Wednesday, September 16, 2020 via email.

UR International Student Services is always here to assist and support our students. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at international.studentservices@uregina.ca

If you have already submitted your documents to our office, please disregard this email.

Thank you!

Kind regards,
UR International Team!

I was also told that school doesn't request for any immigration documents until you register.
Now I'm confuse because I can't see any correlation.
My questions are:
Does any one who hasn't register for a course receive this type of email or its those that have register for a course that they usually send this type of email too??
Secondly, is it possible to be denied visa just because immigration officers found out that I have registered for a course when my Visa is not yet through?? Are they Woking together??
Thirdly, does been denied a visa means I have to apply again??
Pls is it still possible to get a slot for biometric earlier than 23rd sept?? Its had getting an earlier date.

Thank you so much for reading.

Hi, didn't you apply for SP last year?

This shows people can be denied without biometrics Godforbid it happens to any of us

Can I follow up with this? That's if ONLY you know the person OR it happened to you.
If this is random stuff you brought from the internet, then it's a brooch with faux.
I personally don't believe it, especially first application and the BIOMETRICS IS FULLY PAID.

IRCC WOULD NOT REFUSE YOUR APPLICATION WITHOUT YOUR FINGERPRINTS AND PHOTOGRAPH (BIOMETRICS) you can sue IRCC for it.
It just doesn't sound right!

Unless there's a backstory to this. That's if the person is already in Canada cause they are exempted to provide biometrics due to COVID 19 or some countries that do their biometrics upon arrival in Canada.

Do u advice I book for Medicals (Upfront) even though I haven't gotten a request for it?
Or
I should wait till I get the medical request?

(Though background check and eligibility review still showing)

As regards ur second to the last paragraph. It's nothing but the truth

Daalu very much, you are doing well

Bro, do upfront biko so you know all you have left is biometric. Your application is approved in principle, meaning you've meet the eligibility requirements, what you have left is background checks and medical.
Your background checks cannot be completed without your biometrics, for your eligibility to be finalized, your background checks needs to come in.

So in your eligibility review you have 4 questions left out of 12 questions. Your 4 questions are upon background checks and medical.

Question 9-12

9. Have you ever been convicted of a criminal offence?

10. Do you suffer from a serious medical condition?

11. Have you ever been refused a temporary resident visa to travel to Canada?

12. Were you ever removed from Canada or any other country?

Your approval is perfected. Amen

Nwannem Lekiboboe well deserved. CONGRATULATIONS!
I've had a strong belief you would get your visa, so happy for the outcome. Meanwhile, you should book your medical upon 2 weeks to a month.

If you're waiting and wailing for your approval, trust me, in the end, the wait is worth it. Canada is a good country.

A Streak of good luck to all TRV hopefuls.

@Frankrobbn1 Please my sitution is a bit complicated. I applied using an agent, before getting to know about this thread on Nairaland. This was in June. I told the agent to give me a password so I can check the cic site and get details on my application but he said doing that means he has given me access to all his clients information. So right now until he tells me there is an update I don't even know how far my application has gone. Kindly advice me what to do please. I do get email notification but I really want to have access to my details on the site and even see the documents he submitted. Since then, he only sent the biometrics request form and he said no update yet

There's absolutely nothing you can do, just hope for a positive result in your application.

That bullshit is like an oat taking to Nigeria travel agent.

When you should take action is when your visa has been approved and he/she refuses to give you your login details, then you should get him arrested cause your login details stays with you forever in Canada whenever you want to extend or apply for PR, etc.

They want to be in charge of you even when you're in Canada with that, they make more money by ripping you off

Yes I submitted PCC.
App docs:
Undergraduate cert & transcripts, 80% tuition paid receipt, professional certificate and awards, S.O.P, C.V, PCC, other means of identification, family members means of identification, o’level, LOA, landed property receipts with the deed, farmland receipt with pictures (CAC registration ongoing), personal SOA (with balance of 4m, inflow/outflow of 36m), parent’s house CofO, letter & affidavit of support, sponsor’s SOA with balance of 2m but inflow/outflow 480m.

What do you mean by 80% of tuition paid?

Did you pay for 1 term/semester or you almost paid everything and the remaining balance is maybe about 2k left?

Is this your first application?

I will be frank with you, Your account statement is a gamble

What's Your first degree/programme and intending degree in Canada?

I don't want to go too deep in this, there are about 5 different cases in study permit application (case 85, case 30, case 31 case 70...) it's good to order for GCMS notes whenever your application is taking longer than expected or it's being paused somewhere, it enables you to know what they are expecting from you prior in your application. they won't notify you until your visa has been refused, very very few VOs ask for it. Some application gets up to 7 VOs some 2 some 10, some even 1
(that's where God comes in).

I don't know if you're going for college degree (PGD/PGC, etc, ) but I personally don't advise people with bachelor degrees in Nigeria to submit professional certificates it complicates college application.

If your application is not too long, as I said earlier, it could be your stream on background checks is pretty slow. It will get to your turn, this is not common but just chill and relax, but if your application has been long maybe 2 months. Order your GCMS notes to know what exactly they are expecting from you.

From what I gather about about it, it seems applicable to mainly Express Entry applicants.

I don't think it only applies for an express entry that's why I said PCC might not be compulsory but all applications ain't treated the same.

You can as well, order for your GCMS notes and see your R10 check

With that, it will be clear to you.

Hi great people, my application status says background check not applicable. Is this an issue?

It depends on your stream to R10 and criminality checks. it will get to your turn. If I may ask, did you submit PCC? It may not be mandatory, but did you submit it?

R10 they check your documents for completion etc. and determine that everything is in order and you have provided all the needed documents correctly. If you pass this stage it means, your documents were complete and as per requirements.

PCC police clearance certificate

Can you post your application documents, lemme check something.

Hello, thank you, his study permit expires the 30th of July. We have been trying to find a way to reach the nigerian embassy to ask for help with a new passport but we have been unable to reach them.

We have tried emails and phone calls but we have not been able to reach anybody we can explain the situation to. Is there somebody you could put is in touch with? Thank you very much once again.

Apparently, your friend has 17 days left to extend his or her permit. 17 days is a lot to meet up without hesitation.
But if he couldn't meet up and it expires, just mention me on your post, I will gladly get back to you.

Your friend don't need an appointment to the Embassy. And he should follow Naijaforeigner’s comment on how to go about it. And what he meant by Canada post return envelope is Canada priority or Express post Courier Envelope from CANADA POST. Available in any
convenience store, shoppers, etc.

Email and phone calls may not work at this point in time, your friend should be physically present.

All the best.

Good afternoon people. I know someone in Canada who needs to extend their study permit, but their passport has expired. They cannot renew their passport in Canada because the Nigerian embassy here has stopped processing passport applications. What can they do??

Hi, I might be going to the embassy today hopefully, how can I help you? I live 6 mins drive to the embassy.

Tell your friend he/she has nothing to worry, if the visa expires, your friend has an additional 90 days (3 months) to leave Canada. So upon the 3 months, your friend will apply for visa restoration and extension.
Restoration: 200
Extension: 150

That's all, and get back to me, that's if the visa has been expired. I will help your friends with the application and SOP.

If your friend 3 additional months in Canada expires, your friends need the popular twin Nigerian brothers in Ottawa to help you (they are lawyers). Or any immigration lawyer in Canada.

My suggestion, If you are an applicant and you are thinking of taking this bold move, please speak to your school's immigration officer before making the move. I am actually surprised they are allowing students take lectures without study permit. Maybe there is something they are not saying.

Bro ring me, this is too sad to believe.
It's a daylight rip off.
Remember, if you attend just one class and your name appears in class register, or you do assignment or test, your fee is automatically nonrefundable even if Jupiter will fall.

So Why would anyone take the risk? SCHOOL DONT GIVE VISA NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES. It's at the discretion of IRCC.

The two weeks timeframe of refundable fee doesn't mean you have to attend classes, assignment, test or discussion etc... pls be guided.

Act accordingly, don't be too desperate and feel you're playing the smart card.

Thank u for the enlightenment @Austacus

So for instance,
doing a 1 year program in Saskatchewan and thereafter doing 1 year PGWP in Manitoba goes well right?

2) Can one apply to more than 1 province for PGWP?

Thanks....

100%

2) PGWP is not a prerequisite to choosing a location for you. it's in your hands to choose to work anywhere in Canada upon your PGWP. So.., yes you can apply for work to all the provinces and territory, then choose to relocate of your choice.

Can an international student file for PR in a Province he/she did not study....

E.g An International Student who studied in ONTARIO or Saskatchewan and wants to Do his/her PGWP in Manitoba or Alberta for PR Purposes...

Thanks...

Hi,

By law, you're eligible for Canadian citizenship when you live in Canada for 1,095 days as a PR. To your question. If you schooled in a province, let's say ON and wants to get PR real-quick in a flexible province, you would have to work in the province or territory for at least 8 months - 1 year.

Got this off ircc website.

Please check official fee schedule and birth certificates.

I was asked if I have taken any standardized English language test before, I ticked yes and my toefl score report is the evidence.

I hope my GMAT score report also helps to push the point that I merited the admission for mba.

Hi,

The essence of the requirements is proof of relationship between you and your parents. Therefore, providing siblings' birth certificates is absolutely not needed. You don't need it in your application!
you are to provide a civil or religious record of yourself and your parents, it could be a birth certificate, baptism certificate, parents marriage certificates, or adoption whatsoever...

There is enough space in IMM FORM to list all your siblings and provide their DOB.

Justwise and few others already suggested the GCMS notes.

Just say you want to learn more about it later to help your case. Which one is get CAIP & let’s see it together

Hi,

It was formerly known as CAIPS FILE.
CAIPS FILE/GCMS NOTE are the same thing, it is used for application made outside Canada like Canada visa offices or consulate whilst FOSS is used for applications that are made from within Canada. So if you're already in Canada, you don't need Caips/GCMS, you'd rather apply for FOSS.

If you apply for GCMS notes and you declare your siblings in your application, FOSS report would be carried out on them and might be added to your GCMS notes.

If your sibling came to Canada to study and divert to refugees for quick PR/citizenship, or have a criminal record in Canada, it's not advisable to declare them in your application.
