AgroNACT: TRV REFUSED! PLEASE I NEED YOUR ADVICE
I applied on the 12th of April, after 21 days, i was refused based on the following grounds: Travel history, Personal asset and financial status, Purpose of visit, Current employment situation.
I studied Crop Science (B.Agric) and I got fully funded Msc admission to study same course, Plant Sciences at MSc level (Applied Plant Ecology and sustainable system option), U of Sask, College of Agriculture and Bioresources for Fall term September, 2019
The funding covers my Research expenses, Tuition ($6536), Living expenses ($10000) with extra balance of $7k, annually.
I will be 31years old this July. I am currently serving and i will be through with NYSC by July also.
Here are the supporting documents i submitted: 1) SOP (explaining purpose of visit, allocation of available fund, need for NYSC, reasons for lack of travel history, why i must return home, the prospects of my MSc) 2) CV 3) LOA/Funding letter 4) Data page 5) Degree certificate, Transcript and NECO 6) Passport Data page 7) IT completion (IITA)
3 recommendation letters (from USasK, Undergraduate, and IT supervisors, respectively) 9) Research publication (front page) on Int'l Journal of Plant and Soil Science 10) Birth Attestation and Certificate 11) Siblings (5) birth certificates, all married, except last one. All in Naija 12) NYSC (ID, Call up, Posting) 13) Police clearance 14) Msc Research Proposal for grant application (1st 2pages) 15) Certificate of Origin 16) Personal SOA with Balance of #1.2M (for flight itinerary) 17) Wedding Certificate (for home tie) 18) Wife birth certificate 19) Mother's last promotion letter at federal Agric Research Institute 20) Father's death certificate 21) Purchase agreement of 2 separate family lands 22) Photos (Wife and I, with some family members.
I wish to Re-apply immediately my GCMS note arrives in a month time. PLEASE GURU I NEED YOUR CANDID AND PROFESSIONAL ADVICE ON WHAT I SHOULD ADD, REMOVE OR DO DIFFERENTLY!
Thanks for the great works always.
@Frankrobbn1 @GboyegaD @Austicus @042viber Top up your money to 3 million and above and reapply with the same documents you listed. You're matured and married. 1.2 million in your account is not reasonable in the eyes of the VO that handled your application regardless of the funding. (how would your folks cater in Nigeria?) ask yourself that question If you're showing such little money, How much does your wifey has in her account? (common bro, you're married don't think for only yourself). Ongoing NYSC is not the problem here. They don't even recognise that sh** |

Toronto Pearson (YYZ) immigration officers are just too nice
If you don’t see work 20hrs during academic session and 40hrs during the holiday in your work permit..., do not panic. So far you have your social insurance number (sin)/eligibility for a work permit, then you can work 20hrs during school session and 40hrs non-session that what the immigration officer told me. Always remind them of working On and off campus. Make sure you know the date of your study completion Name of your school and location Canada home address Course of study Then smile and be bold |

vsylva: Thanks for this... like i had said earlier..every idea of mine shared here has come from months of following up on this thread and trying to prepare myself.. and i am still open to advices like yours and any other...nobody sabi pass... and it was never my intention to write it out in my SOP that i will be running my business from canada... i was only sharing how i was gonna managing it.. i was only gonna state i had a business that would make me money like u have rightly said.. and yes have my wife run in while im away... i already have her listed as MD.. but thats by the way... i will take all you have said and all i have gathered over time.. plus more that will come in from other post to come from others....
So from what you have said
Account 1 (My savings) having a balance of 6M after first semester Tuition needs to be upgraded to 10M Account 2 (Fam Savings) with balance of 3M.. needs to be padded with Wifeys Account statement too? Yea and take your time to arrange a very good application... Don't rush things You go dey alright. Lemme try and break some stuff down for you Let say your making 7 million yearly take it up to 12 million per annum or more (they won't use your statement of account to judge you cause you have lotta things to do with money like paying bills and amenities, venturing to business, etc then you derive it according to your earnings that was stated earlier Now this’d how to break it down Income from employment (state the name) 4 million Income from (name the online business) {consultancy} 6 million Income from my firm (the name of your business) 2 million (you said it's still in a growing stage) 2 million is okay Let's say you have 3 kids You have to show your financial commitment Chinedu Vsylva (name the school) 120k Ade Vsylva (name the school) 100k Jerry Vsylva (name the school) 80k PS: please don't put a big amount like 900k or 400k for your kid's cause they may use it against you in your statement of account All these should come in your affidavits of support. You will also do something like this in your SOP using your LOA..., I think you already know how to go bout it in your previous post. If you have any landed properties, try and increase the worth, if the worth is 3 million make it 9 million If you have any investment say the real worth of it. I may have to stop here, stick around for more info from people If you find it difficult to increase your account to 10 mil and above Get a co-sponsor that can provide more than 6 million and then he/she should show some commitment maybe 2 million or so for your living expenses or second term tuition fee. All the best |

vsylva: Thanks for your quick response @Qudkom
To Answer your questions:
1. My Wife is well employed and bouyant enough to cater for herself and the kids. With regards to what is left. That part i have thought about and thereby have a separate account that by the time i will be applying for my study permit should have about 3M in it.. this account is set up for monies for the family outside my travel plans expense... as for the compelling to come home.. i am taking my time to explain reasons for the program and why i wanna come back after my program due the the various opportunities here...
2. I run a software development firm... my clients are within and outside the country. I have two online startups and i've just started a custom T-shirt line business using my graphics... .. the goal is to come back after my program and setup Big Data and Business Intelligence sector for my company to expand my business.... so i guess that should be enough compelling reason to return
3. When you say having to work.. i think you are referring to having to work in canada on that $14 per hour for 20 hours a week job... NOPE.. thats impossible.. u will have to kill urself and affect ur study in doing that... i know this... my sustainance will be my business that will keep going.. all i will be doing from over there is project managing as i will have my team handle the actual projects... in preparing for this 5 months ago i started this method of running my business as if i wasnt in the country and have my team work on the projects while i project managing and its been pretty successful... this is the way i plan to fund my school, family etc...
I welcome more questions, concerns, queries, guidance as it will help me better my preparation... I like this guy Don't you think to manage your business from abroad (Canada) is a bigger workload than the $14 minimum wage in Ottawa? (cause you're not restricted from the 20hrs work per week) I will advise you not to include it in your SOP, just tell the VO you have a business that is fetching money for you. Tell the VO that wifey would be managing the business and workers throughout your study leave in Canada, ,,Even though she has her own personal work (tell them you've taught her the rudiments of the business). 6 million is Not bad if you have paid for your full tuition fee But I would also advise you, if you can make it up to 10 million and above please do cause you're a married man with dependants. (for the sake of strong financial ground) very important 11,154.53 Canadian Dollar set aside for your family living expenses might be small in the eyes of the VO So I would also advise you to include wifey account statement to show she Has a good financial strength or history. You can as well get a co-sponsor. I hope your business is registered Should you need more info, don't hesitate to ask Bless you |

Omonoba1981: Hello Austacus,
To answer your concern. I have never stayed in any of the country I visited.
When I left secondary in 2015 /I was just 15years then, I got a 5 years visitor visa to Canada. I went there to visit . While in Canada I applied for visitor visa to US, I got 2 years to US. At about 5month in Canada I left Canada to visit US was there couple of days and return back to Canada. I was going between Canada and US and never stayed beyond 6 month in any of these countries. When I got like 2 reject trying to convert my visitor status to student status applying from LA.
I return back to Nigeria to applied and got another rejected. Then left to Europe to visit my elder one and from there went to US to complete a GSDE for 3months and secure admission to a community college. Came back to Nigeria to apply for US student visa which I got that, but while I was in Nigeria, I applied for 4th time for Canada student visa June 2018. And till now I haven't gotten any reply however I am now doing my college in US. At least if they reject I now have a proper permit to apply from US, but don't know why they don't want to answer with positive or negative.
But I still have a valid visitor visa to Canada, So if I decide to enter Canada today, no one will stop me. But I cant go to school with a visitor visa. That is the issue I have ooo
If I had overstayed in any of these country, US wouldn't have granted me a 2 years student permit. And if I had some extra cash, I could have tried entering Canada with my visitor permit this Easter which is still valid till 2020. Why do I feel that you're shouting at me? The intonation is just too loud and your pride is irritating. I wish you success in your application. (you have nothing to worry if your name spellings and DOB is intact in your US/CAN application) try and raise there attention why your info sharing is showing system error. Good luck |

Omonoba1981: I applied from Lagos. During my waiting period went for US student visa and got that one late last year.
I have shared the zcms before and nothing was there. I have like 207 pages Base on what I can see right now in your Gcms notes, your application is stuck in background checks (from the day you received the Gcms notes, I don't know if it must have changed now). You're experiencing info sharing error (if you doubt me, check page 2 of your notes, you will see it) You gotta ask yourself too many questions, cross check your application over and over again to make sure every detail corresponds to your US application, you gotta ask yourself if you've overstayed your visit to US or Canada (I don't know if you've ever traveled to Canada before), check yourself if you have any charges in the US or Canada etc You need to scrutinize yourself and make sure the problem is not from your path. If the problem is from your path, if the details, spellings are an oversight from your path, accept it from them and fix it, if you overstayed your visa, write a very good story to back it up. Happy Easter to you all. |

My VISA journey has been rough with many twists and turns. Between October 2018 and December 2018, I got 2 LOA request and 3 SOA request from IRCC. They even requested for an unusual SOA format called "My Bank Statement with ticket ID". And after providing it in December they went mute until I aligned and adopted the "Austacus formula" on April 13th before I received passport request on the 15th.
All along I kept praying and never lost faith. I need to give special shout out to @galala123, a "brother from another mother", I owe him a lot for is support, encouragement and advice. olamidemessi: Bro, I think I will go with the first option, because I don't think I can get 4million again . I can liquidate the whole sum and move it to my normal bank account . But,if I do that , how do I tackle the issue of lump sum ? And pls I want to let you know that my normal bank account records a meagre sum of 100k to 150k monthly. Won't the VO imagine how I make such huge amount of 13m when my monthly cash flow is below 200k ?
The school fee is only available for payment around the month of August . I have a mail sent from the school regarding that . I did the processing my self and I have my GCMS note with me sir .
Thank you for your swift response Bro ... Okay bro I will reply you now Please send the Gcms to me. Bless you |

olamidemessi: Bros, Honestly . I'm open to advice . I won't be here naaa. Why I sent the PM is just to be detailed and possibly to show you softcopy of the statement which is a bit private . I'm happy you responded here Bro
Pls, I just need further clarifications, are you saying that I should liquidate the whole sum and send all to my normal bank account ?
Or I should just liquidate about 2-4 million out of the fixed deposit and send to my normal bank account ?
Or you're saying that I should look for 2-4 million from another source and and send it to my normal bank account?
Thank you as I await your response sir . I have waited this long . and I don't wanna be denied like you said . Bro, I don't need to see the copy of your account Statement or whatsoever Since you claimed the investment is already matured, you can liquidate it and do the justice in the letter. If you don't want to liquidate it, don't liquidate half or quarter from the 13 million cause it's gonna raise an eyebrow (it may complicate issues) If you don't want to liquidate it, try and show account statement that has up to 4-2.5 million (4 million and above preferably if available) in your personal account and do the justice in the letter Did you pay half or full tuition fee or nil? Do you have your Gcms notes with you? Did you apply for the Visa yourself? |

dedecoder: Trust God bro and go ahead to submit the new docs. Use the web form to do so. It is not outside of possibility that they would request a substantive SOA if it becomes a must.
Keep all hopes alive and do all that is within your reach to do. At the first look on your app, if the investment is a complete No-No, you should have received a rejection straightaway.
On CIC website, certain nationals are requested to ONLY state their available balance. Our issue is just because of trust and no one can say yours will not scale through. You’ve spoken well. I don’t want this guy to risk this thing Lemme tell you something I noticed about London VOs They have listening ears compared to Nairobi VOs London VOs don’t just refused visa straight up compared to Nairobi VOs They would give you the grace to tackle it, they might even wait for you for 2 months plus, in this case, thats why it’s always good to order Gcms note if your application have used 3 months (processing time or no processing time) London VOs don’t have problem in updating medical has passed compared to Nairobi VOs. Application can stay more than 8 months and yet be refused (London VOs) Upfront or Medical mail can be passed and yet be refused on a long run (London VOs) I don’t want this guy to take that risk, that’s why am kneeling down right now for him, he should liquidate the fixed deposit or send 4-2 million to his account and do the explanation which I am ready to help him. He shouldn’t gamble this stuff, he has waited for about 9 months now. If he has gotten his Gcms notes, he will see everything PS: these guys are more interested in LIQUID CASH |

olamidemessi: Dear @justmellow, @frankrobbn1 @Qudkom, and other anointed study permit experts, Someone referred me to this forum after I have applied. This is my predicament hereunder
I lodged an application sometimes in late July 2018 with an upfront medical (already updated as passed) and I have not been responded to since then even after several frantic and frenetic efforts of sending emails and CSE (I even ordered for my GCMS note). I now have my new admission letter with me after the previous one has elapsed, Should I send them the new admission letter (when the embassy have not requested for it?) Any consequence(s)?
The second question is this, I am self-sponsored, and I presented ONLY Reference letter from my bank stating the amount of my investment which can be liquidated at any time. ( about 13m good enough for my programme and living expenses) I also stated that I have been saving towards my master ever since I conceived the idea of having my masters abroad. Up till now, I still haven't taken out of the invested sum and it has appreciated. No SOA whatsoever in my application. So, should I also send them a recent reference letter from the bank along with my new admission letter?
KIndly advise me, please. It would only take the grace of God for this application to scale through with what you submitted as financial supports. I saw this post yesterday and I never wanted to comment on it, but I gotta do it to clear my conscience Please make sure you submit liquid cash of around 4-2 million (even if it’s a lump sum, just do it, you gotta take the risk) Don’t liquidate your fixed deposit if only you can get the 4-2 million. (If you can liquidate it, I swear it’s gotta help you a lot) When you run around for the money in your account or you decided to liquidate the already matured investment... don’t hesitate to fall into my signature or rather, just do the needful by sending the account to CIC and explain it to them constructively I wonder what your Gcms notes would be saying concerning funds. Had it been you have a scholarship or funding it would have been better for you. Meanwhile, for the main time, send the new letter of admission to CIC NOWI don’t attend to email messages again but will attend to yours if only you do what I asked you to doHave a great week! |
