me69: Islam will dominate the world it is already prophesied. CAN you cannot put barriers on Muslims to learn their religion just as Muslims do not put barriers on your faith. Dominate the world or conquer the moon. I dont give a rats ass as long as nigeria remains a secular state that it rightly is. Folding our hands to allow this to continue is very DANGEROUS! |

LionDeLeo: Honestly, I really don't understand how the study of Arabic by muslims in schools should be their headache. With this development. Young developing students are forced to take french (very limited teachers) or Islamic arabic studies with no provision for Christain students to do same religious studies! Thus christain students who have no curiosity for the french are left with no option than to study an alien religion! It is grave injustice and should not be allowed to stand. Clear and simple!! Matter of fact. This has to be Resisted and protested all over the nation VERY STRONGLY!!! |

Rubbish. Whats being described here is absolutely grave and immoral injustice!! Making IRK the only compulsory alternative to french and not including CRK is just plain evil and must be resisted! I see saudi arabia all over this!. It should not go away until rectified!! |

Stupiiid kids wont stick to the discourse!! Derail the thread with their stupidity!
I totally am with CAN on this. Its an absolutely grave injustice this act!! At the very least introduced CRK (or to be clever 'christain hebrew studies') to be an option to french alongside Islamic Arabic studies!
This development is disgusting and should not be swept under the carpet!!!
Before you start thinking islamaphobia. My girlfriend and potential wife is a practicing muslim that i do not plan on converting. I'm proud of her and love her beyond words!! |

BeardedMeat: Even Osinbande is there for his personal interest. The Legislature knows the Executive has had their pecuniary interests taken care before presenting the budget, they must have to add their own too or else they will be no budget. You see, once the head is rotten, the whole thing goes bad. Buhari is rotten, his entire government stinks too. You corrupt headed individuals defending corruption at every turn are the reasons this thieves do whatever tf they want!! I wonder what kind of country you are going to leave for your generation unborn with this attitude to life. The whole 'they are all the same' argument is for the pathetically WEAK minds to offer and consume! Criticize each and every of your public officials for the wrongs they do individually. Assuming guilt for everyone, thus allowing some to get away with evil deeds is mentally LAZY! |

Intellectually inept, unashamedly corrupt legislators everywhere in Nigeria. For any meaningful change to occur, the electorate must start scrutinizing every tom, dick and harry they vote into any seat of power
I propose that different dates be chosen for presidential, governorship, senate and house of assembly elections as is done in france |

BlakKluKluxKlan: The curious thing about it is that the document appears to be hoarded by those in authority but elders like late Anthony Enahoro and Alfred Rewane and Alex Ibru have made reference to it at one point or the other. I even heard, but not sure, that Alex Ibru's life was attempted for daring to call the country's attention to the document during IBB's government. We may google it and see but i believe it to be in Westminster records. Well, the bolded wouldnt be surprising if true. I'd desist from making comments or refferals to the 'document' then until the existence and content is confirmed. Thanks for your answer btw |

I'm always keen to point out to my friends, associates and new acquaintances that Nigeria is a blessed land filled with hundreds of COMPLETELY different and diverse cultures and people coming together and trying to make it work. You are right in saying most people dont know this. In fact, more than 95% of non-africans dont. The education is spreading far and wide. Dont forget to educate those around you |

BlakKluKluxKlan: My only concern is that the Rondel declaration is authentic, determined, focused and ready to go without looking back. I was impressed by the pedigree of the representatives and their ethnic stock. I know for certain that deep down, Odua is ready to go not minding the fact that they are not raising a hell about it as some ignorant people would want.
One important factor that i advise all concerned to always harp upon was the fact that, by the document that amalgamated the northern and the southern protectorates, Nigeria, legally, ceased to be since december 2014. This fact renders the so-called 1999 one-sided constitution null and void. This prompted Gej to arrange the 2014 confab. Any reasonable government needs to first tackle this problem before any other thing. Everything done by anybody in the name of Nigeria since January 2015 is null and void and altra vias. The negation of the entity called Nigeria by the Lugard constitution is a factor that will sell with AU and the UN bodies. In addition, that document gave any component part of Nigeria that wishes to go its separate ways after 100 years to do so. I cannot understand the silence of southern leaders on this issue since 2014. A link to the details of this 100 years amalgamation document? I am genuinely curious to read it. Thanks |

First, they should make the process for getting permits and building approval easy, fast and transparent. People are likely to build better if they know government is aware.
All approved buildings should be assessed during construction. I am sure 40% is gross over-exaggeration. Almost HALF of all lagos buildings. Kilode! Meanwhile, the policy seems like a good one for the state |

9japrof: If these statistics are correct, then it's commendable cos it is a known fact that with the exchange rate to the dollar high, it's a boom for exporters to earn more local currency from foreign exchange.
I think the focus should now change to encouraging the youths to be export minded. Sometime in 2013/2014, massive tutorials were made by Ymodulus, shinaf, dav8id, 2sexy, chemashie and a whole of others that I can't remember their handle on how to import from China, those tutorials changed a lot of lives and made them super independent today.
Now the tides have turned, will those massive tutorials on how to export to europe, Asia and the Americas pop up. Nairalanders abroad should champion this cause, not cos of self pity but out of patriotism.
There are lot of government agencies that I know and have attended their workshops in the past who are willing to assist and support with funds and data to make you succeed.
One love... 9ja prof. Would you mind talking in private? There is a commodity from the southwest that i'd like to export in large quantities to europe (where i live). Market potential is insane bro. I would love every info you can give regarding the agencies, funds and datas. THANKS |

This, as far as i'm concerned is a really good move. I lived in Angola and Awo halls and can say authoritatively that its just pure stupidity to have mosques that wake you up before 6am after you might have 'jacked' all night. I was sooooooo mad at this one thing so much so that i left awo for an apartment in mayfair despite the fact that i always wanted to live in the dorm.
No one should be able to use their 'rights to worship' to disturb fellow students. Good move by the DSA
edit: this should apply to every religious group at the uni. |
