Music/RadioAsu Ekiye Accuses Other Gospel Artiste Of Stealing Songs by Austyn316(op): 7:04am On Dec 06, 2017
In the aftermath of the just concluded and very successful 'Experience 12' which is the annual musical concert sponsored and organised by Pastor Paul Adefarasin and the House on the Rock Church, in which he was one of those not considered, popular gospel artiste and president of the association of gospel artistes in Nigeria has thrown a salvo at some of his colleagues in the gospel music ministry.

In a FaceBook post on 5 December 2017, the 'Wekilemo' crooner alleges that there are those who sing, record or use the sons of other artistes without permission. He calls it a fraud and stealing.

The post however did not go down well with some of those who provided comments. For example, 'Aniebet Abasi Ekerenam responded as follows: "When we all sang 'Good morning Jesus, Good morning Lord,' 'I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart' I don't know who we took permission from." Another facebook user, Ethel Abe commented as follows: "Ekiye, abeg (sic) remove the singing clause O! If sang as special numbers, the singer should cite or acknowledge the original artiste. All the Christmas songs, hymns etc that we sing are understandably sung without owner's approval. I concur 100% with you over the recording and other 'use' especially if they are of commercial nature...."

Could it be that Willian the Brazillian Chelsea midfielder is beefing Victor Moses? Has anyone noticed that he doesn't pass the ball to Victor? Willian would prefer to send the ball wide to Alonso or to any other player even when Moses is better positioned for the pass.

Christianity Etc2017 Prophecies By Dr Patrick Obi Nwafor by Austyn316(op): 1:38pm On Dec 31, 2016
Please see below prophecies for the year as reeled out by God's servant Dr Patrick Obi Nwafor:

GLOBAL UTTERANCES FOR 2017.

Below are what will take place in 2017. The only thing that can stop any of them from manifestation is acidic prayers
only.

1. United States.
The incoming President Trump will take some drastic economic measures that will make the States sit up. Initially there will be definitely hard, harsh economic, political terrain that ultimately settles down with time.
2. Attempt to kill Trump. Serious attempts to kill incoming US president seen. Efforts to protect him adequately must be made. If not, he is unlikely to finish his first year in office. Attempt to impeach him will fail and backlash take its tolls.
3. Russia/US. The two super power will work hand in hand only if maturity is allowed to continue. Mischievous GOP members of Senate: Mr McCain and one Graham will raise issues bordering on their globalist inclination against Russia but it will fail.
4. Islam. Saudi Arabia: Wahabbis of this world will have her tentacles reduced to nothing by combined forces of US, Iran , Russia and Israel. A rear but an unbelievable combination.
5. ISIS/Boko Haram. Both dangerous Islamic bodies including Brotherhood of Egypt and its US associates will die with their prime sustainer ,the outgoing US president Obama.

6. Shameful departure of President Obama. Mr Barak Obama will leave White House in a most ignominious way. Attempt to impeach him even after leaving office MUST be made. It may only be averted if political solution was used, else he shall be impeached. Obama will face cases of misapplication of funds running into $billions of US Veterans funds. He misapplied the fund without getting clearance to use same on Syrian refugees.

7. Deportation of Islamic refugees from States. Some millions of people from mainly Islamic, Africans will be sent home from the States due to irregular stay.
8. A prominent American politician will join his ancestors. Prayers be offered to avert a prominent Evangelical minister from dying too.

9. Assassination/Islamic killings: So many Americans will die in the hands of alien but legally Islamic fundamentalists. The numbers will be alarming, if not properly dealt with.
10. President Putin. Russia will play a global role at ensuring global piece. UN sanctions against her will be lifted.

11. German. German Chancellor, Mrs Angela Markel will lose reelection this time around. Her party will also lose leadership of the Germany parliament.
More people will be murdered by the Islamists now living in Germany.
A great number of girls and married women will be rapped by the islamists resulting in revolt and mass killing of the islamists. Their improvised shelters, mosques will be torched and destroyed.

Syria.
The Syrian President Assad will still retain his position even after the killings of almost 500,000 people propelled by internal insurgency prompted by US Obama/Clinton and former British Prime Minister.

14 France. A change of government will tighten internal security in France. But killings by islamists will not abate until the needful was done.

15. Britain. British value system will diminish terribly. No thanks to Islamic agenda which has eaten deep into the fabrics and roots of British government.
A lot of homicide killings, a plane crash, religious prone murdering will occur in Great Britain that will put so many other nations of the world on her feet. Too late for Britain, though.

16. South Africa. A prominent politician in South Africa of African stock will join his ancestors. ANC will lose so many seats in the nation's parliament. Outgoing president Zuma will cause South African's most populous party to lose national pride due to avariciousness, distortions, yet to be discovered abuse of office. Generally, most international businesses of South African origin will suffer political witch hunt from their host, others due to manipulative actions of theirs. Prayers to avert two air crash in South Africa two big cities that shall kill more on ground than those on board. Prayers please.
16. Ghana. The economy of Ghana will slide back to what it was in 80's if prayers are not made adequately. Hunger , shortages of essential food will rare its ugly head up. The president will have to chose Ghanian people that voted him or his party and their executives. If he chooses Ghana, he may come out victoriously. If he panders to his political party and their promoters, they will mislead him as evil politicians misled his predecessor in office.

17. Nigeria. The nation of Nigeria represented a torn apparel. There is a huge disconnect between the electorates and the political office holders. The problem starts from Local government counsellors to president.
Masses are in a jungle they willingly allowed themselves to be taken captive.
a) Presidency. The amount of corruption going on in Nigeria as supervised by the Presidency puts devil in trouble! By the time the lid is opened, most of President's helmsmen, Mr Buhari and his inner family excluding her wife Aisha are deeply involved. It is terrifying to say the least.
b) 2019 Presidential Election. Mr Buhari should pray for his life only. If he comes out, he will lose Katsina State. His intended use of an Easterner as his running mate will kiss dust.
c) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar/Mr Gregory Peter Obi voted into office in 2019, against all odds from virtually all retired military, OBJ and other APC powerhouse.
d) Restructuring. This much trumpeted idea to usher in good democratic practices of regional autonomy , development based on regional capability comes in too late.
Still in Nigeria:

i) Two serving governors of Abia and Enugu States are on their way out. Dr Ikpeazu Okezie, will leave office dramatically. Enugu governor has an opportunity to avert his own through acidic prayers, but he was not allowed by his minders to seek for those ordained to pull him out of trouble through anointed supplications.
ii) Two former governors will join their ancestors. Those of them need prayers, else they will die before 22/10/17. People are enjoin to pray for them even though they preferred to remain aloof.

iii) A general in the armies of Heaven may join his ancestors if serious prayers are not offered by PFN, CAN and general Christian community in Nigeria. It is serious. Please pray along.
iv) Two former presidents/Head coupist in Nigerian armed forcee joins their
ancestors.
v) Islamic/religious disturbances. More religious troubles are on their way. The federal government will be put in trouble handling the unfolding disaster.

d). NigerDelta. Mishandling of Niger Delta demands will snowball into much bigger problems. More destruction of oil installations, less fund available to FG.
e). Indictment: FG of Nigeria will be indicted greatly arising from actions of political office holders who will be forced out of office because of corruption.
f). Two avoidable air disasters will occur in Nigeria. Fire disaster takes place in two federal government establishments in Abuja.
g) Inflation. Inflation will reach a level unprecedented in Nigeria in 2017. Gas and PMS will cost higher as some parents will be forced to withdraw their children from most first class private schools due to costs.
h). Fall in Standard of Education and Values.
There will be a sharp fall in education in terms of academic performance. Tertiary schools will have running battle with federal government.
I) EFCC/SSS. Leaderships of EFCC and SSS will be dropped. Some serving Ministers notably from South South, South West and the current SFG will go. Outgoing SFG should brace up to face charges bordering on corruption, obtaining money under false pretence, offering high position jobs to persons unknown to the President himself!

18) BIAFRA. Upon distortions, sabotage, killings, detentions illegally applied against Biafrans, a globally approved REFERENDUM will be made for the South Eastern States only. It will lead to a " peaceful" disengagement. Those who will cast their political might to quench this move will not be killed nor challenged by man but they will be visited by a force that will force their tongues to cleave upon the roof of their mouths.
.... To be contd
EducationImproving The Ranking Of Nigerian Universities by Austyn316(op): 9:04am On Oct 09, 2015
Improving university teaching methods/research in Nigeria is something that we must consider very vital if we truly want our universities to move up north of the rankings of global universities. It is shame that no Nigerian University is ranked in the first 500 in the world despite the abundance of talents that we have.

Many factors count for rankings including but not limited to research output, number of successful PhD supervision, students satisfaction survey etc. I will like to analyse these three criteria.

Firstly, with regards to research output, I want to believe that Nigerian researchers are doing well unfortunately as a result of the fact that many of our experts are in the diaspora in pursuit of better earning power, the results of their research output count for the universities where they work. There are actually some in the country who are doing some good work but how many of these researches are published in reputable journals with high impact factors? Understandably, Nigerian Universities now insists that academic staff must have publications to their credit to gain promotion. There are certain requirements these days for academics to have some'international experience' to attain the level of a senior lecturer. Thus, there is a new trend of Nigerian academics seeking to attend conferences outside the country in order to meet this creteria. It is important to stress that after doing a good job preparing conference materials that Nigerian academics attend reputable conferences. Universities also need to encourage departments to create research centres. These centres are now in vogue in highly ranked universities. Even within a department, you can have about two or three research centres with staff dedicated to research. The Tetfund should be used for this purpose as well. Alumni should be encourage to donate towards research. There should also be room for post doctoral opportunities.

Secondly, there is a need to review how thesis at the PhD level are supervised in the country. Why admit a student you do not wish to graduate? The purpose of setting admission standards is for you to be sure that you have admitted the right candidate. Conduct an interview aimed at testing the prospective candidates ability to do research. There is no point organising entrance examination fo research candidates. Again, there are some curious requirements in the prospectus of Nigerian universities. Asking research students to submit O'level results and NYSC certificate is so archaic. If the student has a degree it suffices that certain requirements have been fulfilled. Supervisors must learn to see research students as colleagues in Nigeria and not inferior.

Thirdly, student satisfaction is very vital. Unfortunately many university academics in Nigeria see themselves as demigods in their classes. You listen to a lecturer shouting 'I will fail you!' or 'A is for God, B is for the lecturer and C is for the best student' or 'If you fail to attend the first class in the session, you will fail!' Those lecturers who make such unguarded statements would receive a sack letter in a university in a developed clime. The universities know that student satisfaction is important.

In conclusion, it is important that lecturers in Nigeria develop good relations with students. They must realise that good universities recognise the term 'mitigating circumstances.' Strangely enough, if a university student in Nigeria misses an examination on account of ill health, that student is doomed to carry over the course. There are no feedback channels for a lecturer to provide feedback and a feedforward to a candidate who has taken a test or an examination. It is also important that we take into consideration the needs of students with disabilities. How many delexia students gain admission in Nigeria? Do we have special examinations for students with disabilities?? If we begin to do the right things maybe sooner than later we can have universities competing with the likes of Harvard, Oxford and Cambridge. Goodluck Nigeria!

I was about to ask you the same question too. I applied at Teleperformance VI on September 17, 2014 and I believe it's not too early to want to find out the status of my application.

The other two times I have applied for UK visas I got my passport back within 11 consecutive days. I will also contact UKVI.

pimp_lucious :
Shame!! Edo State Gov. On It Again Pic

Why can't our Dear (attention sick) governor just stay off the media for once? This is absolute display of sheer ignorance and worst still, his social Media Assistant comes online to publish these insulting pictures when he should be ashamed of the actions of his boss.

The child in this photo is supposed to be preparing for school, or be in school doing something more deserving and not hawking. The governor (with this show of shame) is endorsing child abuse and child labor, buying chips from a child who is hawking on the streets. Only in a society devoid of good governance this kind of child abuse is celebrated. Should we be jumping up celebrating it as good gesture or humanity? what do you expect? A governor who didn't pass through a primary school system will never know who should be in school and who should be hawking.
The boy is on holidays. He is doing something to help himself before school resumes.

If Oshiomwole ask why he is hawking, you will be the first to say he doesn't have human sympathy.

Leave Adams alone go and do something to better your own life.

Austyn316: Thank you so much Suxes, I will let the house know our experience after our interview on December 9, 2013. It's about three week's to go.
Hello House,

I promisesed to return today with feedback.

I witnessed about 4 people who were successful. A man who said his wife just put to bed in the US and he was going to join them was denied. His wife applied for a visa to attend a conference in June and gave birth in September. His visa was denied.

A staff of Skyebank was sucessful. He said he was a relationship manager.

A woman who had given birth previously in the US was denied.

My wife and I were denied because we did not show strong ties to Nigeria. I believe it was because my wife has no travel experience.

We immediately left the Lagos Consulate for the UK visa center in Lekki. Contrary to the situation at the US Consulate, the UK visa center was not too busy. We went to a nearby cyber cafe and applied for UK visas. At least, the Entry officer will look at the documents.

We willl still return to the US Consulate in January, 2014. The letter I received says if we have further information to show ties we could reapply. My circumstance was misconstrued and with this experience I hope we convince the VO.

Good luck guys!

Is there any place in the Acts of the Apostles where a "KOBOKO SERVICE" was organized? Where do we get all these stuffs from?

Pastors don't need to play to the gallery in order to attract membership. Our standard should be the Bible. Believers have authority and Jesus says if we say to the mountain "move in to the sea" the sea would move. All you need as a believer is to exercise your authority and not by bringing koboko to church

suxes2005: Yes you guys got good chance of getting the visa. Just make sure
you don't present too many stories. You're attending a friend's wedding
ceremony should as well be communicated to them during your interview.

Just tell the interviewer the many things you guys will do in the States
during your stay and don't forget to end with why you will need to come
home, that can be your work and your wife's business

SHALOM

Hello Suxes and the house.

A friend of mine is wedding in the United States and has invited my wife and I for the wedding. We have completed the form online. Our interview date is in the first week of December.

We did not state in the forms that we were going for a wedding. We applied for B1-B2 on vacation. We have no family or friends in the United States. When we travel we hope to attend a church activity in the state where we intend to stay. The pastor of that church sent us an invitation. The wedding is taking place in the church and the church has a leadership programme during that period. Since we have the pastors invitation letter. We used him as our contact there under the "other" column since he is not a family member.

I have been employed for 10 years now and my employers have given me a leave letter. My wife is a business woman. I indicated that i will be paying for the trip. I have traveled to the UK in the last one and half years as well as Ghana. My wife on the other hand has been to Ghana.

My monthly take home is N450k.

At the interview, we intend to say that we are going on a vacation and will use our vacation time to attend a church programme.

Do we have a good chance?

SportsRe: Who Are The Biggest Prospects In The Golden Eaglets? by Austyn316(m): 5:13pm On Oct 31, 2013
nerodenero: Things are not always the way they seem.I wont be surprised if those with below performances end up becoming the biggest stars in future.Arguably, these dudes are the biggest prospects so far for Eaglets. With the right choice of club and regularly playing time, these four will come good for both club and country.Just hope they wont fizzle out when it matter most.
The present crop of under 17 team members are good players and would go far with the right mentoring and coaching. The team is a high goal scoring side and this is very good for the future of our football.

Before we get carried away, I feel this team will not win the competition. Forgive me if you feel I am not patriotic. Honestly, what we see are raw talents that are not being properly coached. I'm surprised that Emmanuel Amunike and Nduka Ugbade have not used their wealth of experience in bringing the boys up. (I'm not sure Manu the chief coach is a good coach. That's why I didn't mention him). The reason is that the team does not play with intelligence. Yes they move forward like a swam of bees but as soon as the opposition team makes a few changes, we get outwitted. Check all the games and what happens after the first half.

The boys only attack through the middle and I fear for them when they meet the Uruaguayans who are a more tactical side.

The boys are there but the coaching is a problem. Can you imagine that we don't have a good replacement for Isaac Promise?

Kanu, Oruma, Ojigwe and co were all old men when they played the under 17. There's no reason to compare them with the present crop of players. I however do not believe in the MRI scan thing. If Stanley Okoro who was 30 years old, the 27 years old captain, I've forgotten the name of that captain (we all know that Obuh enjoys using over aged players. That's why Abdul Jelili Ajagun will always be playing under 20 under Obuh).
