FamilyRe: Should She Travel To Italy? by Ayab1203(f): 10:53pm On Dec 20, 2013
Tell that so called benefactor to bring her daughter for your sister to teach her how to braid, so that she in turn can now take her daughter to Italy to do the "braiding " biizness that way it will cost her less and and everyone gets to keep each other's family business growing and within the family.

Now how about that kind of arrangement! It's foolProof isn't it?

Hmmmm!
Am trully saddened by d way some pple here are celebrating the dishonesty of the cashier. My only comment for u is in d form of a prayer:
I decree that for as many as all who praise this Satanic action of this cashier, you shall all be "blessed " with an employee, friend, wife, girlfirend, colleague etc that will do d same thing to you or your business or in fact anything or anyone you hold dear. Let d "good " u wish on others or celebrate also come to u too!

IslamRe: Pig Fat In Shoprite Bread? by Ayab1203(f): 10:22pm On Nov 03, 2013
ocman: see this one wey dey chop agege. you dont even know that shoprite makes many sorts of bread ranging from sugar white, sugar brown, sugarless(for diabetic peeps) and salt bread. you dont know that shoprite houses its own bakeries? Try and visit shoprite, and please go inside and stop taking pics outside alone. You would be amazed at the kind of queue you would see in the breadline waiting for oven-fresh bread.
My brother , the day I saw dat queue for d first time I was like rabbish ! The pple in front of d line said they will covert me and dat I could join dem,dat d bread will be out of d bakery in d next couple of minutes. So I waited and tasted. Its nice sha but i don't tink it was worth d whole brouhaha, cos for me tinz like dat makes me suspicious of wether dem put "somtin" inside.
FamilyRe: Are You Sending Your Housemaids To School? by Ayab1203(f): 10:12pm On Nov 03, 2013
crackhaus: This issue of housemaids and how they should be fairly treated is one I have tried my best to address so many times.
Naturally, I'm a person who hates seeing less priviledged people getting intimidated and oppressed...
It has caused so many problems between myself and some friends and family members who treat their helps with sub-human contempt.

I'm afraid to say however that the issue of sending househelps to a 'good' school is almost a lost cause because;

1. Lazy madams are only interested in having their homes in top-top shape when they come back from work...the excuse here is school will distract the help.

2. Selfish and self-centered madams will find it difficult deeping into their pockets to support their own kin, not to talk of a house-help.

3. Good madams who send their helps to school will still maltreat the help most of the time for not doing a chore right or early enough.

So we see that for a house-help in an average Nigerian home, its a loose-loose situation.

My opinion is usually this,
Any woman ready to embark on the journey of marriage MUST also be ready to embark on the journey of being her own home-keeper...
Any woman who wishes to start the process of childbirth and/or upbringing MUST also be ready to be in charge 'personally' of her child...
Any woman who still feels the need to have some help at home MUST also be ready to provide, cater and provide most of the help's needs...

PoliticsRe: Dear President Goodluck Jonathan, I Am Not Going To Flatter You by Ayab1203(f): 10:33pm On Nov 02, 2013
Orikinla: Dear President Goodluck Jonathan,
I am not going to flatter you and I have no apologies or regrets for saying the truth whether you care about criticisms or not.
I will not join the bandwagon of sycophants who prefer to flatter you and pay you eye service and lip service to curry your favour.
I am not a member of the opposition and I am not a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
I am not a member or sympathizer of the New PDP, because I believe in one PDP, one Nigeria. Because as our Lord and Messiah Jesus Christ said: A house divided against itself cannot stand (Matthew 12:22-28, New King James Version (NKJV). So, they are just wasting their time. The sooner they reconcile with the bona fide PDP, the better instead of heating the polity.
Yes, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, CON, was once my boss, but I have not seen him since 1990 when I was an active aide in the publicity department of his presidential campaign before the June 12 crisis.

Your excellency, no human is as excellent as the Almighty God who alone is the perfect excellency. So, if anyone criticizes us mere mortals for our imperfections, we should not say we don't give a damn.
It is better to swallow a bitter pill that will heal you than eat sweet that is nothing but sugar that will do you more harm than good in the long run.
When you do good, I will commend you.
But when you err, I will also point it out to you.

Following ignorant Christians to Israel on their pilgrimage to hit your head on the Western Wall in the midst of the Old City in Jerusalem has nothing to do with Christianity, because our Messiah Jesus Christ never commanded us to do so.
As the government wastes millions of naira of public funds on sponsoring religious pilgrimages to Mecca and Jerusalem, our beloved tourist attractions in Nigeria are neglected and left in ruins. And the best our honourable minister and director-general of tourism and culture can do is organizing costume parades called carnivals that have little or nothing to do to boost our cultural heritage. Nigeria is not Brazil.

The power reforms are fine. But no applause for you until I see those who forced Prof. Bart Nnaji to resign from your cabinet closing their generator shops and looking for more patriotic jobs to do than fishing in troubled waters like your kinsmen posing as Niger Delta militants in the polluted creeks and worsening the cases of crude of thefts and you know those who are the kingpins of illegal oil exports from our shores.
Those errand boys paraded on television and on the pages of newspapers are not the real oil thieves.
The real criminals are their paymasters and their private bank accounts in local and foreign banks are enough to catch them.
They know themselves and are members of the same club.
Of course, the importers of generators and oil thieves are partners in crime.

Your Excellency, the resolution of the prolonged strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is not a herculean task and lest we forget, you have also joined similar strikes when you were a lecturer and if you of all people who should know better cannot solve the recurrent problems doing collateral damage to government tertiary institutions, then millions of Nigerian students who voted to elect you have wasted their votes.
Strike or no strike, the state of government schools in general is pathetic.
Hostels on campuses are not better than urban ghettos and the horrible conditions of their toilets will make any normal person faint.
I cannot understand why there should be lack of regular supply of water on campuses when sinking boreholes is not rocket science and every hostel can sink as many boreholes as possible and solar power installations on campuses can provide power supply for the benefit of both the students and others on campuses.
Installing solar panels is a great way to save money on electricity bills. And we have more than enough sunlight in our hot climate to generate solar energy.

Your excellency, another problem giving me nightmares is the nauseating state of both the military and police barracks.
If you go on tour of these barracks, you will be heart broken, except you have no shame or scruples.
Majority of our military and police barracks are not fit for human accommodation and most of them are now overcrowded with broken down bathrooms and toilets and I weep to see what the innocent children of military and police officers are suffering in these inhuman living conditions.
The solution is simple.
The total renovation of dilapidated military and police barracks.
Give direct contacts for the renovation to Julius Berger and other proven construction firms to make them modern military and police barracks and also install solar panels in every block and on every street in the barracks.
When we improve the living conditions of our military and police officers; pay them better wages, it will boost their morale; they will be well fed; well trained and well kitted to do their best in law enforcement duties and defending the precious lives and properties of the citizens of Nigeria.

Your excellency, if you have really done well for government hospitals, then why should you and your beloved First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan spend millions of dollars on foreign medical trips with other top public officials?
The N250bn Nigeria spends annually on medical tourism is more than enough to make our own hospitals among the best in the world.
And the best way to begin is to increase the funding for our medical colleges and I want all medical students in Nigeria to be on full government scholarship, because we need more medical doctors and we have to train more and poverty should not stop any brilliant student from studying medicine locally with the best facilities.

Your excellency, you deserve more accolades for the billions of naira you have invested in Nollywood and Kannywood. But many people say you are simply pampering our actors, actresses and other practitioners in the motion picture business in Nigeria to mobilize them for your selfish political interests. Well, as far as I can see, the few beneficiaries were not asked for their memberships of the PDP. But, I would prefer you increase the N3b grant to N300b; to give grants to those who want to invest in building more cinemas or movie theaters and studios, because mass producing CDs and DVDs of our movies will not create more jobs. Only building more cinemas and film studios will create millions of jobs like the motion picture industry in America that employs more than 2.1 million workers, including costume designers to make-up artists, stuntmen to set builders, writers to actors, accountants to dry cleaners and contributes more than $175 billion annually to the U.S. economy.
Do you know that the global entertainment industry is worth more than $1. 23 trillion. And we have the largest market in Africa and so Nigeria should be making billions of dollars and not asking for your handouts.

Your excellency, that is all I have to tell you now until further notice.
I wish you the best as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. And don't tell me you don't give a damn. grin
For NAija we are all govt onto ourselves.
You put ur kids in private nurs. Pry. And university
You buy ur own generator for power
You provide ur own security man and arm him with a a gun
You grade the entrance to your compound to ease ur movement
You struggle to build ur own house
You struggle to hammer and be able to fly ur loved ones abroad for medicals or academics wen d need arise
You grow ur own farm
Create ur biz from scratch
All these while paying tax to enrich the political thieves.
So I ask what exactly is/has Nigerian govt both past and present doing/done for me?

Car TalkRe: Nigeria Women Cant Drive! by Ayab1203(f): 7:55pm On Oct 31, 2013
runzlord: serously, nigeria women cant drive, they are just to scared, when u see a woman driving note that she is driving with one mind so take minutes before they make a decision on the road. If a woman is in front of you, you would almost cry, they would want to switch lanes, then they change their mind sort off, they become confuse and end of in the middle of the road blocking everybody at her back, and note she does this without traficating, in a nut shell an average nigeria woman drives like a learner or is a learner. Usaully when people drive like that or does not drive well, we at the back would just maintain and conclude it a woman thats driving and when the person finally allow us to pass, truly truly it would be a woman. Ive never be wrong on that. But the case is not like that in orther countries.
I highly sugest women should have their own logo. Like learner is a big "L", women should be hanging a big "W" at the back and front of their car too.
If u meet me on d road u will have a change of opinion. I'll make u a believer. Yea I am that good!

sissy_ijebu: grin

Sis forget good hospital matter! Please don't come here and mislead people. No pain after CS? You be robot ni? The first 3 days after CS made me have a glimpse of what hell is like. You wan cough abi u wan sneeze abi u wan even laugh? Worse was when my little little madam dey try extract milk, every vein in my system stand attention. When you get up from bed or change position its like your heart's gone drop. Unless its life threatening please when your doctor says push you better push because Cs no be am . Its 3 years now and the experience is still fresh.
I think a good hospital, prowess and general know how of the medical team has a major role to play, per and post a CS. From my experience, my first baby Cs process was painfully as in really excruciatingly painful. I spent three dayds at the hospital. For weeks I couldn't turn, cook or be like a normal mother . I was taking pain killers like no man biz .
because of this experience for my second baby, I braced myself for the worse. But to God be the glory, I was operated at about 1.00am in the night, by 10 am in the morning I was already standing up without assistance and eager to go home. I was discharged around 4pm cos I was walking normal as if I had a VB. when I even got home it took the constant reminder by my mil for me to cool down and take things . Considering the fear my family had pre-surgery for my second baby, especially when our hopes for a VBAC was dashed to pieces, I will say that God made my second CS a walk in the park.

Till today people still think it was a VB. for me I say it was GB- God's Blessing. grin

[quote author=ty osho]I totally agree with this post of yours.Theres nothing wrong with him staying true to the reasons he gave for soliciting for funds(ie operation has to be done by 8 weeks in the UK).Before that lady Juliet Ibrahim spoke,i too was of the opinion that his budget had been inflated and seeing how she was attacked after she spoke up,i kept on keeping my opinion to meself.
fast forward 8wks,hes gotten way more than he asked for and then goes to INDIA for the operation(at a much reduced cost no doubt).abi person wey wan do operation no go first carry out thorough and extensive research on options available to him? Please its time to start been truthful to one another in this country.Lets stop all this free him jor,how much did you contribute mindset and start demanding accountability from ourselves charity case or not.Such sentiments didnt come up when the RED CROSS was accused of being fraudulent in the handling of hurricane sandy last year.
