Phones › Re: Oraimo To Curb Fake Phone Accessories In The Nigerian Market by Ayemileto(m): 2:11pm On Oct 19, 2017 |
Towncrier247: If You Love Your Face, You Would See This (Graphic)
Over the years Nigeria has seen the influx of several phone accessories into the Nigeria market. This has led to the proliferation of sub-standard products into the country.
The media has been awash with stories of death and injuries caused by the used of sub-standard phone accessories in the country.
However, the entry of Oraimo into the accessory market in Nigeria will no doubt help to sanitize an industry that needs so much cleansing.
Last year a story went viral of how a 12-year-old boy was seriously injured when his phone exploded while it was charging. The phone felt hot and then blew up in his face, exposing part of his jawbone and embedding fragments in his arms and legs. He underwent emergency surgery before he was sent to the burns unit and onto the plastic surgery inpatient department. Only last year, a power bank exploded burning down a building in Kenya.
This is the unfortunate things many people have faced while using sub-standard mobile accessories in the country. According to a Guardian publication 95 per cent of phone accessories in the market today in Nigeria are substandard. There is still a long way to go to sensitive Nigerians on the dangers of use of sub-standard mobile accessories.

For Oraimo the focus is on producing the highest quality mobile accessories for Nigerians that meet all quality requirements by the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON). One way Oraimo is ensuring quality of its accessories is through product authentication. This it has achieved through two means;
QR Code Verification With a bar code at the back of its accessories, buyers can easily check the authencity of the product they are buying through a quick scan.
Verification Number At the back of all Oraimo accessories is a 16 digit code. Users only need to visit its website, www.oraimo.com and input the 16 digit code by clicking on the Authentication page to reveal if they have bought a genuine Oraimo product.
As the official licensed accessory brand for popular phone brands such as Tecno, Infinix and Itel, buyers of Oraimo accessories can rest assured of buying only the highest quality accessory that wouldn’t break down easily.
What makes Oraimo accessories more attractive is its affordability. By combining affordability with quality, Oraimo has been able to answer the needs of every Nigeria when it comes to phone accessory. The case of the 13 year old boy never happened in Nigeria and the Samsung Galaxy S7 that exploded was original. That is why Samsung recalled the product(Overheating). The kind of Authentication you claim to be doing is what Itel has been doing for a long time. (I.e Nothing New) You people should stop spreading fake information just to promote you products. How do you expect me to trust you with original product when you're advertising with fake info? |

NCANpatroller: In the list of banks. You chose wema? My friend! You re on a long thing Wema Union Keystone Unity Skye Access
Are banks I advice pple to avoid at all cost Baba, keep quite. I use Wema Savings and Alat as well. The only ish with them is that you can hardly pay online with your card. Unlike GTB, they are selective. Apart from that, the bank is cool, and they attend promptly to issues especially if you visit a branch. Intact, they will most likely fix the issue b4 you leave the bank, unlike some other banks that will require you to write, write, write and rewrite letter. Plus you don't waste time in the bank, no much queue. The people who enjoy Alat most are those with Wema account, you don't need to upload any document, it will sync automatically. Note: I'm a student. To the OP, I will suggest you take ur Utility bill to a branch, that will speed up action. I use my school hostel address as well, but since I have a savings account with utility bill attached, I don't have problem. Some other people had. But its a general requirements that you submit a utility bill while opening a savings account with any bank. |

NnamdiN: I've noticed this scam, I wonder how it's possible to get the same amount of data left halfway into every month? Usually after the first week of every new subscription, I get a text that I have 720mb left. The same 720mb is what's left every month, whether I surfed heavily or not. I just don't have the strength to carry spectranet mifi around. (those ones are thieves too but I at least get 3weeks) Check the date. Is it the same date every month? Its already programmed that when your data remains a particular volume, you get a message just the way Glo will notify you @ 50%, 90% & 95% . its not the date that matters. Check well, the date will not always be the same. |

I believe many of you use a windows PC, windows phone, Android or Apple OS?
If that's the case, then simply monitor your data usage from your phone or PC before complaining. What your phone record is independent of what mtn deducts.
The only network I belief are scammers is Airtel that had deducted 6GB when my phone recorded 2.8GB.
What you use is what is being deducted. |

Phones › Phone Slow In Charging by Ayemileto(op): 2:57pm On Aug 05, 2017 |
Hi, phone geeks on nairaland. My Phone is slow in charging (takes up to 4hrs to reach full charge from 0%).
Checking the battery rating, it has a limited charging voltage of about 4.2 and a 2A current.
Checking the internet, I found out that the Limited charging voltage is the highest no of charging volts you should use to charge your phone.
All the chargers i've tried have a rating of 5v or more and a current of 500mA - 2A.
Now my question is what is the effect of charging with a lower current? Does it affect the charging speed? What negative effect will it have on the phone?
For the higher voltage, What is the risk of damaging the phone?
I currently have a roommate whose phone didn't reach the home screen as it keeps rebooting when displaying the brand name. The phone have been given to different engineers but couldn't be repaired because its an IC problem. According to my roommate, the problem started after he used someone's charger to charge the phone and apparently, the charger damaged the phone.a
The same thing described above happened to my phone this morning but it later booted. I charged it to about 90% from 40%+ with a charger of 5v and 550mA while the phone have a rating of 4.35v and 2A. What's your take on this. Thanks. |
