The world was monotheistic but then people began to deviate and thus many fell into polytheism! Not the other way round.

Amazing....if I could like this a million times! How on earth can any muslim bring forth such an argument about the name to call Allah. Was Adam (A.S.) a monotheist or polytheist? How about Nuh (A.S.)?

Please follow the history of man. From creation, monotheism and sinning, then polytheism.

Read very "slowly" next time before your ichy fingers jump on your keyboard to reveal your s.t.u.p.i.d.i.ty by posting pictures of "black African people" in medieval and Roman times

The indication is that Moorish rule in the Iberian Penisula is "derived" from the ISLAMIC/ARAB incursions into the Magreb ak.a. North Africa, therefore "technically" speaking they are not an indigenous African civilization since the caliphates arose from West Asia.

The area which the "moors" emanate from are a combination of several African civilizations usurped by the Islamic conquest of the Maghreb inclusive of West African, Berber/Amazigh and other ethnic groups influenced genetically and culturally by the visgoths and vandals in North Africa.

There is no singular "black African moor culture/civilization" in Africa. If there is point to it.

Afro-centric gibberish should never be mistaken for Pan Africanism.

I don't agree with everything that kingshango posts, he seems obsessed with pedophiles and homosexuals and that derails his message a lot.
Having said that, it is sometimes necessary to format ones brain to open it to the possibilities of a different narrative. We have all been fed a certain version.

Pray tell, what aspect of the earliest moors' resembles Islamic/Arabian culture?

I think that you must have crunched the numbers before considering leaving the job. If the job takes a lot of your time and also ends up giving you less amount of money after you deduct your expenses, then it will be reasonable to go into your farming full-time.

However you must take the business as a business you must devote it plan to devote as much time if not more than what you did at your job you must also plan for expansion remember this is your business.

If the current job gives you other benefits such as health insurance, retirement ,pension and things like that then you really need to redo your numbers. Don't be afraid. I pray that you succeed.

Looking at the pictures, you start asking yourself at what point did things started going wrong in this perfectly looking family? what did she probably do wrong? what ignited the man to do this? Is just so difficult to comprehend as this life keeps getting complicated by the minute, nothing seems right anymore. We will keep praying and hoping for a better world.

The pictures tell no story! They are just pictures. No one willingly puts up a picture that tells half the story on Facebook or Instagram, talk less of the full story! Sometimes the pressure of keeping up with the Jones's can become all too brutally real and fatal.

@Bigrovar - thanks for your input. I visited the link for your set up and pardon my lack of technical know how but few questions

1. why is the sum across each set of 4 panels significantly different? I understand that a series connection should give an approximate sum of individual panels so I was expecting a sort of sequence, (not that it matters a great deal as the total pwer is still a sum of both arrays).
Are all eight connected or are they 2 separate power generators going into the inverter.

2. Is DoD a function of battery or how you set up your system?

Thanks

I beg to differ. The only way of reliably testing of earth connection is using something called earth megger

https://www.tester.co.uk/megger-det4td2-earth-tester?gclid=CjwKCAjw0ujYBRBDEiwAn7BKtxVskY0Ebjn7_IDanAUeQ2PbLikI69LuLmSiKQYo8X56c5zYl-vlZBoCPHwQAvD_BwE

- If the earth is even connected by 1.5 mm2 wire the light bulb will light up or multimeter will show low voltage. The earth is supplied already from the disco in a good installation by neutral grounding and hence neutral will always show low voltage with earth.

A good way to check if the Neutral is earthed at home is to switch off NEPA at the entry point ( including neutral) and then measure the inverter output neutral to earth you will be surprised to note that most inverters will show balanced voltage with respect to earth say 110 V ( P to E) and ( 110 N to E)

The higher end inverters have a sperate grounding relay which actuates the main relay ( Victron) or auxiliary contact ( SMA. even newer Ipower models) earth to neutral short on the failure of the grid

That kind of earth is enough to reliably trip a ELCB ( earth Leakage) circuit breaker but may not be strong enough to sink a lightning surge ( or switching surge

typically earth resistance measured ( when isolated from earth bar) should be less than 5 OHMS ( IEEE) , 10 Ohms ( India) 25 ohms ( USA)

In layman's terms during lightning strike, the earth can carry several kiloamperes of current and a high resistance path may raise the circuit potential above 1.5 KV where the normal equipment may fail or people can get shocked

Also there are two values to be concerned with earth Touch potential and step potential. Both concern with human safety. A weak earth can raise a potential along the earth point potentially shocking people on failure of insulation of the equipment

My advice is to sink one more rod if you are not sure and connect directly to your earth bar with a solid connection without a break -

Typically if the property has large generator e.g. 20 KVA and above you can easily trace and use the generator earth rod as most generator companies will sink a Rod close to the generator and connect to neutral and generator body

If you are not sure and you sink another earth rod, and somehow you end up with 2, does it cause harm?

I will leave @BigRovar to answer the question about budget for a 1.84kw PV array and associated system though I suspect he has a lot of load optimization and equipment running at scheduled times and automations involved to be able to run such a large variety of equipment on such a small array.

For the second question, there is absolutely no harm in generating more power than you can use on the average - this is the end goal every solar power user should probably aspire to - at first you will gloat and be pleased with yourself to be in such a unique postion (generating power in excess of your needs) but soon you will become dissatisfied and start looking for how to use all that excess power - for me I applied my excess solar power to running an AC to cool my sitting room from 9am to 6pm everyday - with my next power upgrade I will run water heating equipment.

Thanks!

@BigRovar, I need a little help here. Thanks in advance.

Bros a 2400w for the stated load of OP don't you think it is quite over the top? especially considering the 700k he just spent? Myself I use 1.84kw panel with grid disconnected and that powers the whole house on a 24/7 basis (Including Fridge, freezer, washing machine, TV, lightning and fan at different set time point).. I think it is important to understand what went wrong with this installation before hitting the buy button. I started my solar journey with 2 240w panels and 2 batteries and even that was able to ensure 4 hours of 175l chest freezer time, and over night light use before I upgraded to 3, then 4, then 6 and now 8 panels with a combined power of 1.84kw. The loads specified by the OP are do not contain any inductive or every equipment like fridge or freezer.

I think it is important to determine what went wrong with this install, find a way to make his load more efficient. An efficient and optimised load go a long way in paying off solar investment much more than pilling on the panels. changing my inverter from felicity to ipowerplus for example improved my early morning battery state of charge to 71% from about 55% because the ipowerplus uses about 30w during dc to ac conversion while the felicity uses north of 58w. The 20w difference made a big difference. I intend to further reduce things by getting a rechargeable ceiling fan to replace the electric motor ceiling fan in the living room. The energy sayings from this 22k investment would be used in increasing the run time of the new smart inverter LG refrigerator to about 18 hours daily while maintaining current battery daily depth of discharge to 29-35% .. remember we are talking about 2 12v, 220AH indian tubular battery that are going into their 3rd year of service.

OP should post picture of his install let all see any obvious fault and make recommendation. If op is in abuja, I might even want to come and see things for myself (pro bono)

Good morning!
Your post is quite enlightening. I need help with something similar. What should I budget for a system similar to yours? - 1.84kw

Also, layman's question - if I generate more power than I use, are there any downsides to this?

Thanks

https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/02/opinions/clinton-adichie-twitter-change-wrong-drexler/index.html

By Drexler

Hillary Clinton has changed her Twitter bio. It may not seem like major news, and yet it bears some significance.
What used to read "Wife, mom, grandma, women+kids advocate, FLOTUS, Senator, SecState, hair icon, pantsuit aficionado, 2016 presidential candidate" now reads "2016 Democratic Nominee, SecState, Senator, hair icon. Mom, Wife, Grandma x2, lawyer, advocate, fan of walks in the woods & standing up for our democracy."

Hillary Clinton has changed her Twitter bio and it does not start with wife
The personal descriptors have moved to the middle of the pack, replaced by the professional ones. What prompted the change? A little bit of peer pressure to bow to one woman's interpretation of feminism, evidently -- a move that was unnecessary at best, a mistake at worst.
Here's what happened: Last month, Clinton and Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie took the stage together at the PEN World Voices literary festival in New York City. The event was billed as a "conversation between two of the world's strongest advocates for women and girls with unique insights into how we can imagine a better future." And Adichie, whose best-selling book, "We Should All Be Feminists," won a National Book Critics Circle Award, took Clinton to task for what she deemed the former Secretary of State's anti-feminist Twitter bio.

"In your Twitter account, the first word that describes you is wife," said Adichie. "...And when I saw that, I have to confess that I felt just a little bit upset."

Her comments seemed to give Clinton pause. "When you put it that way..." she said.
And now she's made good on that concession, editing the bio to shuffle "wife, mom, and grandma" to follow "2016 Democratic Nominee, SecState," etc. -- also notably moving "wife" after "mom."
But should Clinton have caved to this pressure?

Adichie's point is well-taken -- Clinton is certainly more than just a wife. But we know this, and Clinton knows this. The previous version may have listed wife as the first of Clinton's many impressive titles. But it was Adichie's choice to read that placement as an indication that Clinton assigned "wife" the most significance, and it was Adichie's inherent bias to assume she knew how Clinton defined herself based on a social media biography.
Though, for argument's sake, let's say Clinton does first and foremost identify as a wife. So what? Isn't the whole purpose of feminism to allow women to define themselves however they choose?
The fact is, Clinton is a wife -- and there's nothing wrong with that. For many women, being wives are important parts of their identities. By Adichie deciding to imbue that word, or the role, with lesser meaning, she is effectively disempowering those women.
By assuming that identifying as "wife" is an abdication of power, she is giving power to that assumption. Think about it: Defining oneself as a "friend" doesn't automatically render the other friend in the relationship as more important, does it? So why would Clinton defining herself as "wife" be evidence of her handing her power to her husband?

Adichie has done a great deal for the conversation around feminism and gender equity, and this misstep doesn't take away from those strides. Feminism is nuanced, and in talking about those nuances we are better equipped to understand them.
But a misstep it most certainly was, because it acknowledges neither those nuances nor the individuality of women. In fact, what Adichie has shown here is that she believes she has the right to weigh in on how other women should define themselves, which, of course, she doesn't. Not if she chooses to identify herself as a feminist, anyway.
Because nuanced or not, feminism is not about separating women from men. It's about celebrating the many ways womanhood can look. It's about giving women the power and the freedom to be who they want to be.

So, are you now an atheist?

tintingz:
This is fallacy, are you present when every atheist are in danger?

Steven Hawkins(the great physicist) was an atheist, despite his disability he still declare he does not believe God exist.

Christopher Hitchens, despite his health condition (cancer) he was present in a conference still in position of an atheist.

These people did not give in to religion even during thier difficult times.

There are atheist that scream "oh my God" unconsciously, this is because of the indoctrination from thier childhood, the injury is still there and "oh my God" has been a tradition for people, it doesn't mean those athiests believe in any God.

I am trying not to use "oh my God", I now use "oh my goodness" or "oh my nature" or any other stuff I like or have fun with.
